There may be a buying opportunity here for those thinking/planning/intending to add US gold to your stables. These 1st Spouse issues are not selling well at the US Mint which looks like their production figures are falling. Priced now even less that the gold eagle 1/2 oz. coins there appears to be an arbitrage opportunity here for those with funds (we don't).
I have posted images at bottom to give you some idea, and recommend no specific dealers. However, be it realized that in deflations, those coins with numismatic premiums tend to lose their price luster.

version which went off sale earlier this month.

The last of the two versions — the proof coin — was taken off sale Wednesday, June 20, 2012. Its companion uncirculated coin was pulled from United States Mint store shelves earlier in the month.
Demand dictates how many of the coins are produced, and early buying greatly controls inventory. The U.S. Mint on release day announced that the maximum mintage across both coins was 15,000. Sales were sharply lower.
