Lawsuit Filed Against LAGOP

The Republican Party of Louisiana announced today that a lawsuit has been filed in U.S. District Court in California's Central District by more than 100 Ron Paul supporters and self-proclaimed delegates to the Republican National Convention.

The suit, filed against the Republican National Committee and Chairman Reince Priebus and many state Republican parties across the country along with their respective chairmen, including Louisiana, alleges that the binding of national convention delegates is illegal under federal law and claims numerous violations of party rules.

The Republican National Committee has agreed to provide a joint defense for all parties listed in the suit. "We view the suit as completely frivolous but one to which a serious response must be made," said RNC Chief Legal Counsel John R. Phillippe Jr..

"We have joined with the RNC to fight this ridiculous, frivolous lawsuit. This is just another feeble attempt by Paul supporters to undermine the rules and systems in place, and we are going to take this very seriously," said LAGOP Executive Director Jason Doré

What?

Did a news article actually say "self proclaimed" delegates, rather than duly elected?

I also saw it in a news clip. I am a nobody who just read the

clip.

SequoiaTrees4RonPaul

yes, self proclaimed delegates

THis is copied from a letter I received from the LAGOP today from Dore. I feel like a spy. But being a member helps me see what the other side is up to.

politepaulite

that was the LA GOP chair's phrase

and not from a news article.

At the same time, very few of the 122 plaintiffs are actually delegates to the national convention. It might only be about a dozen of them (or fewer) who were really elected as delegates to Tampa. Most were delegates to district/state conventions in Arizona and Georgia who object to the results, or people who lost primary votes to gain delegate spots.

Really?

All of the articles that I've read use the same phrasing, ....

'self-proclaimed delegates'

You are in need of a new hobby.

the phrasing came from a letter from the LA GOP

Maybe others have used the phrase as well. But in the context of this thread, the phrase came from a member of the leadership of the LA GOP.

What time is your shift up, Shazad?

You just can't seem to handle the truth Shazad

"It might only be about a dozen of them (or fewer) who were really elected as delegates to Tampa. Most were delegates to district/state conventions in Arizona and Georgia who object to the results"...The only results our delegates "object" are the one's where Romney and the establishment are very clearly cheating...Shazad, a couple months here now, and you still just don't get it. You lose. Romney Loses. Get it through your thick skull. Move along son.

De criminalize Liberty!

I find it very interesting and amusing

to observe individuals such as Shazad who are in the throes of penis envy of a 76 year old.

look at the list of plaintiffs

Of the 122 plaintiffs on the filed lawsuit, 53 are listed as Arizona delegates. However, Ron Paul only got 3 supporters in as delegates in Arizona. And none of those 3 have included their names on the lawsuit. In other words, 0/53 are actually delegates to the national convention. A few might be alternates. Most are probably Paul supporters who feel that they were cheated at the state convention.

35/122 are listed as Georgia delegates. However, at most only a few of them are actually delegates to the national convention, given that Ron Paul only got a handful of district delegates in that state.

Of the 3 from Alabama, 5 from Colorado, 1 from Iowa, 3 from Illinois, 2 from Maine, 2 from Missouri, 1 from New Jersey, and 3 from California, none are national delegates (in some of those states he got zero delegates and in others we know the delegate names, and they do not match).

That's 108 so far that I've covered of the 122, and from this group only a handful in Georgia are even possibly delegates.

It's completely inaccurate to describe the plaintiffs as national delegates. Some articles have said things like "5% of the delegates to the national convention are listed on the lawsuit", and that is demonstrably false. At most, there are 20, and there are almost surely fewer than 10.

the liberty movement must be doing

the liberty movement must be doing something right if we're encountering this level of resistance and deceitful tactics.

No sh---t Sherlock! You better take it "seriously"!

Let's put it this way. You are being FORCED ALREADY to "take it seriously", because the Judge, last I heard, hasn't thrown this "frivolous" lawsuit out, have they...

And, get one thing straight. WE AREN'T JUST RON PAUL SUPPORTERS!! We are disenfranchised AMERICANS, first!

Scapegoats needed

It won't be long before the GOP will be looking for various scapegoats. More than one head will have to roll over this when it gets nasty. I wonder who they will be.

Attention All Ron Paul Delegates!

Please read this post I made earlier today:

http://www.dailypaul.com/241263/attention-ron-paul-delegates...

I may be wrong, but I believe there is a very good chance you're going to get railroaded by the system if you let an attorney represent you. I know the LFRP think they are doing a good thing; their trying to help, but the fact remains that if you hire a BAR (British Accreditation Registry) Attorney to represent you, the court is going to look down on you as trustees in this matter; they will consider you incompetents; wards of the STATE and "presume" you into the trustee position of the suit/case.

And trust me (no pun intended with the TRUST remark), but trustees do NOT tell administrators and beneficiaries what to do in a Trust agreement .... which is exactly what the Constitution is.

You folks that are Delegates are not just citizens, you are shareholders/investors in the corporation known as the UNITED STATES. That makes you beneficiaries of the public trust; you put lots of money in this foreign corporation known as the UNITED STATES, and you pay the public servants (read as public trustees) to oversee your investment, but they have pulled the old switcharoo on us!

The judge and the RNC are "public servants/public trustees", but they will NEVER in a thousand years tell you that. They instead will act as the administrators/beneficiaries and treat you Delegates as the trustees if you have an attorney represent you.

Please read the link and the other links in that post and familiarize yourselves with the true nature of this situation.

We The People = Beneficiaries/Shareholders/Tax payers/Investors

Public Servants = Trustees/lowest man on the totem pole, there for one reason and one reason only: To carry out the wishes and demands of "We The People".

The whole system is setup on Trust Law, they've just turned it upside down and made us believe we are the trustees in this corporation, and nothing could be further from the truth.

Somebody didn't get the Louisiana GOP guy the memo

Romney Will not win and any position you were promised within his cabinet, its gone and so are you from the Louisiana GOP leadership. We can give you a position cleaning the floors for the federal minimum wage. Also he didn't get the memo that soon WE will be the RNC.

They could care less about the party. They're actially

a power syndicate. I love this part of the "frivolous" suit that repqires a serious response: Rules BE IT RESOLVED, That the Republican Party is the party of the OPEN DOOR. Ours is party of LIBERTY, the party of Equality, of opportunity for all, favorability for none. (lol)
1t is the intent and purpose of these rules to encourage and allow the broadest possible participation of all voters in Republican Party activities at all levels and to assure that the Republican Party is open and accessible to all Americans.

Amazing

These people need an wheel barrel to carry their balls around in. They actually have the audacity to state that RP supporters attempting to undermine the rules. What rules? The ones that they change at will, or the ones they themselves refused to follow.

... Start the countdown. Your days as a leader of the LAGOP are numbered.

You're defending the joke that was your convention... The one where establishment cronies tried to impose and force rules and votes against the will of the delegation. Lol, get a clue.

In time, the LAGOP also will

In time, the LAGOP also will be taken over by our fellow freedom movement members. As demonstrated, we do have more than a bit of a presence here.

Bobby Jindal

Jindal is in West Virginia supporting the elections there. He is being groomed not to be VP but future President. He was silent during all of the violence which they still blame on Ron Paul delegates.
