Conscience vs Pride video

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hiaxZ_BJWDA&feature=player_de...

Hi everyone!I am a new member and long time reader of the DP.I just wanted to share a video I made about how our conscience conflicts with our spirit of pride. In my opinion, the spirit of pride is the most destructive force in the universe and I think most people are not even aware it exists.Ron Paul's suggestion we follow the golden rule is mentioned, but this video is more philosophical than directly political and I truly believe that pride is what makes people cling to ideas and opinions that seem so obviously wrong to others.I think a lot of people know Ron Paul is right, but find it so painful to swallow their pride and admit they might have been wrong on their support of our foreign interventions, drug wars or big government handouts. Some of the main points in the video are simple awareness of pride. That we know our conscience is real whether we believe in God or not.The final question in the video is this:In the end,if you lived your life by the golden rule and treated others with kindness, compassion and mercy,do you actually think you would regret it?I don't think so...The video is paired with an instrumental song I wrote and performed. It was very frustrating to see the great video titled"urgent message from the troops support Ron Paul" get deleted because of a copyright claim on the song they used.Whoever made that video did a GREAT job.It moved me to tears many times..So that frustration led me to make a video with my own music and in the process say a lot of things that I needed to say about life in general. Thanks for listening and thanks to people like you guys on the DP for proving that there are still some very decent people left in this world.Christian
