Shocker! Ron Paul and Rule 40 - The NEW Romney Nightmare...

From Doug Wead's Blog
June 21, 2012

At least one of the cats is out of the bag. The story is now public that an obscure, overlooked GOP rule, passed in January, 2008, has opened the way for Ron Paul delegates to place his name in nomination for vice president at the RNC in Tampa. And maybe for president? Experts say no. More on that.

Rule 40 came at a time when there was concern that the GOP presidential field would be split between candidates Huckabee, McCain, Romney, Thompson, Giuliani and Paul, with no one candidate winning a majority in five states. It was accepted that this possibility was remote, due to the sequential power of successive caucus and primary victories which would winnow the field and give one or two candidates momentum but the deadlock was at least a mathematical possibility.

The rule change declared that only a plurality within a delegation, not a majority, was needed in five states to place a name in nomination. It means that a candidate can be nominated for president or vice president if he or she has the most delegates in at least five states. It is a threshold that Ron Paul has very possibly passed. And it may explain why the Romney forces have been apoplectic, even self defeating, in their crushing of the duly elected Ron Paul delegates at the various remaining...

It appears if he can be

It appears if he can be nominated for vice president why can't he be nominated for president?

that is my question too. Maybe they'd give us something but

it would need to be concrete and benefit RON, imho. The only thing I can think is they back our LA delegates, in credentials committee which I understand they are now saying they never said they would do. But I think we should win there, anyhow if we get the videos out. They are pretty compelling, particularly given the broken bones on one guy and the hospitalization of another by the party types' hired security.

According to therealdelegate2012 Dr. Paul won the plurality in Vriginia also as well as other states! He can be put on the nomination !

Educate the masses, and win in the end.

This election falls under federal law

because it is a federal election to elect the President of the US.
Every phase of this election, the caucuses, primaries, and conventions fall under the federal law that over rules the state and party laws and rules. It's the Law. The RNC/GOP and the media are deliberately misleading the public to thinking that the delegates are bound or else. They aren't. By federal law, it is unlawful to intimidate, coerce, and threaten anyone into voting for someone they don't want to vote for.

I'm sorry but

if Ron Paul is vice president, I don't think I could vote for a president Romney ticket... now if it was president Paul, vice president Romney...then I would probably support it.

Regardless, he'd get his unedited speech at convention

to WIN either the Pres or VP nomination he would need a lot of 'other delegates' to come over. But for the speech he needs just to be nominated, and would get it as a matter of right under his own power, something that hasn't happened in decades.

If RP is the president and

If RP is the president and Romney is VP, you know they'll pull a JFK situation.

interesting is

if it is vice versa -I mean Ron Paul as VP, then Romney no matter what he does probably would be the best guarded US president in history because if something would happen to him Ron Paul would become president.

There is No Compromising

with the establishment GOP. Ron Paul represents the end of the corruption and their entitlements. That is why this criminal organization is fighting tooth and nail the fraud this nation out of a just and legal election process.

What happened to the 10 - 11

States that Ron Paul won according to the 2012 GOP Delegate Map dated May 1, 2012 and the delegates?

Now the GOP is touting that there is only 3.

I thought

it was at least 4 - Iowa, Maine, Colorado and Minnesota (+ bound states Nevada, Oklahoma, Virginia, Louisiana...)

Lots of Questions

I have been trying to follow Daily Paul almost daily, but we don't have good updates on the real count. I agree with an earlier comment, I thought we had Virginia. What happened concerning Oklahoma? Let's hope they can't get away with that. As I have been saying for a long time a huge problem is the fraudulent computer voting. There is some proof, but more would help. That would turn over the states that say delegates have to be proportional.

Dude I was thinking the same

Dude I was thinking the same thing! What happened to all the other bloody states we swept up with delegates? It was so significant that FOX News had to report on the inevitability of Ron Paul's name being on the ballot for nomination. I swear man, that propaganda be propin'.

That was about the time Reince Priebus

in a panic violate their own Rule 11 and declared rombama the presumptive nominee even though he didn't have the delegates and Ron Paul was still in the race, the Primaries were still going on.

Then right after the breakfast with bernanke something changed in the campaign drastically.

Then the RNC/GOP and rombama campaign pulled out all the stops with the election fraud, disenfranchising the delegates, refusing to honor the delegate status when they were duly elected.

Check out Lawyers for Ron Paul and if you've experienced the election fraud or know of anyone that has, log on to www.electionfraudremedy.com and follow the instructions to document your concerns.

Lets say this whole deal with

Lets say this whole deal with the lawyers passes and all delegates are unbound. does that mean states like Nevada and others in which Ron Paul delegates are bound to Romney, will count to get him on the ballot in Tampa??? I sure hope so. By the way you should all check out www.thereal2012delegatecount.com. They have changed their numbers leaving Romney with 400. Still hope everyone.

So does this mean we are

So does this mean we are stuck with Romney as VP when Dr. Paul wins the nomination?

I wouldn't really mind

The VP position doesn't seem to be that important or influential from what I've heard. The president could have a houseplant as his VP and I doubt it'd make much difference.

Except, of course, in the President was someone...

... they wanted to get rid of.

Ron Paul wouldn't be a sit down and shutup VP

He would be in the news regularly. And of course he could invite all of us to come visit him if he was getting ignored.

Mighty mountains in grandeur stand, but tiny raindrops turn them to sand! Noah, I think I just felt a raindrop!!

How about this compromise,

Paul / Palin (for the Tea Partiers)

Still a fan...

I still like Palin. With Obama in self-distruct mode, now would be the time for Paul/Palin. Then in 2016, we could go with Palin/Paul (Rand that is).

Ron Paul 2012; Rand Paul 2016

That's just a train wreck waiting to happen if that stunt was pulled. I doubt people would take Paul seriously anymore if he had her as his VP. I can still remember it in my head.... 22 yrs old watching this fool in a live interview reading notes on her palm to help her remember to talk about taxes, spending, and lifting the American spirit. While charging the audience of over a thousand fans $500 a pop to watch this awesome fail.

No pal, Sarah Palin is fine right where she is.

Voting Paul VP would probably just be to screw with things

Because I assume the good Doctor would have to turn down the VP nomination anyway since he disagrees with Romney on so much.

Unless Romney's etch-a-sketch did a complete 180, but then etch-a-sketch's have their limitations too. Sure, you can draw a new picture but you can't make it dance or turn into a gorilla.

Why would he do that? Being

Why would he do that? Being the vice-presidential nominee would give Paul an unprecedented platform to push for liberty issues. And why turn down the position to be president of the senate?

I agree that the job would be good for him

But how in the world would he campaign?

Paul on the stump: "Vote for us! I don't believe in the majority of what the next president is pitching and I find most of it abhorrent... but vote Romney/Paul 2012!"

He can just decline the VP slot next cycle,

Then he won't have to feign support for Obamney, and we can elect Justin Smash.

I'm President!"
