Taking ResponsibilitySubmitted by Freedom or death on Fri, 06/22/2012 - 16:30
“When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me.”
I believe the time has come for us as the liberty movement to put away childish things. We have come to a time for action. We all complain about the role of government, but what we fail to realize that we do not need to subjugate ourselves to their rule. We are ruled by choice. Are we not free people? Are we not free to pursue our lives as we see fit? We have no need to push through political agendas. They are controlling the game and have fooled the people for so long that political action is going to go nowhere. So I am starting with me.
Liberty starts at home.
I am making a pledge to myself:
I no longer accept those placed above me by the tyranny of the majority. I will not accept authority that blocks me from doing as I wish. I am a free moral agent who will do as I see fit. I will not bow down to the guns or uniforms of my oppressors. I will not recognize any law that does fall in line with the constitution of the United States of America.
As long as my actions do not infringe upon the rights of others I will do as I wish. My own conscience will be my final guidepost.
My property is mine and mine alone. My hard work is mine and mine alone. I will give no heed to those who seek to take, that which is mine.
I take full responsibility for my own liberty. I will live with the full consequences of my actions. I will reject help from people who steal from others to provide it. I will take the responsibility to those I hurt and make restitution to those I wrong.
I take responsibility for my family. My kin is mine to provide for.
Since I am responsible for my own freedoms I will as defensive measure protect that which is mine. My life, my property, and my liberty are mine and I will fight to the death to protect them.
I am all for no aggression as long as I am left to do as I wish. But to quote Malcolm X "I believe it's a crime for anyone being brutalized to continue to accept that brutality without doing something to defend himself." We are being brutalized. This is not for just some abstract concept of liberty. This is for real. This is war. Police Killings on the rise http://lat.ms/NpY7ry. Presidential kill lists http://tiny.cc/pvmbgw. I can go on. But you all know the deal. I am sure that others share my sentiment. I will close my post with this "Non-violence is far more impressive when practised by those who could easily resort to force if they chose." D.A. Clarke
