The campaign high-water mark

Saturday, May 12th.

We had just won Oklahoma, and were well on the way to wins all over the map.

Then came Monday the 14th...and Jesse Benton's announcement that we needed to be nice because we can't win, and Ron Paul's announcement that he would cease campaigning in primary states. Then the Doug Wead non-"big" announcement of the 16th. Then Rand's betrayal. Then...

So sad.

Rockin' the FREE world in Tennessee since 1957!
9/11 Truth.

Now that we have lost Oregon by ONE DELEGATE....

It is looking even less likely that we can get the five states.

Thanks, Jesse!! (NOT....)

Folks...don't be fooled...

... by any subsequent "attempts" by the campaign now to sound like they are trying to really "win." Wead is out with one of those this morning. If they were really in it to win it, they would NEVER have done what they've been doing the past 7 weeks, and Rand's betrayal is still exhibit A.

We will not the five states now without a miraculous intervention by the hand of GOD, and I truly believe that has been BY DESIGN.

Good point....

Any serious presidential campaign engages in heavy criticism of all opponents, but not this one. Ron Paul flat out refused to confront Romney in any serious or consistent way. The focus was always Santorum, and never Romney.

Remember the 'bromance' frenzy in the MSM? Ron basically answered that not attacking Romney was a matter of strategy and once Santorum was gone the focus would be on Romney. Well what happened? Santorum dropped out and 16 primaries still left to go but absolutely no serious criticism of Romney emerged. In fact, Ron would not even use Romney's name out loud, instead refering to him as 'My establishment opponent.'

Yes, 'In It To Win It' and 'Delegate Attainment Strategy' were both big fat lies!!! Unfortunately, I think Ron Paul himself may have been taking part in this whitewash from the beginning.

Nuff Said!

Enemy of the campaign!

1976-1982 USMC, Having my hands in the soil keeps me from soiling my hands on useless politicians.

What is so sad

Is how many did not get on Republican Central Committees and would rather blame Benton and Ron paul for eduring tons of establishment pressure.

If you didn't join your Republican Central Committee to stop them from attacking benton and Ron paul, whose fault is it really?

Oh! You mean like our own

I am tired of SM yelling against Ron and Rand when SM didn't do what was necessary. Evidently you did.

I helped win my state!

I didn't go around like many of the paid staff and intentionally take the air out of the movement!

You had to be nominated by the paid staff...

...in order to get on the state committee here in Maine.

Despite the fact I was on it before, and am the earliest and most vocal supporter of Dr. Paul in the state, I couldn't even get nominated by the Randians.

It took me a year of being a guest

I became my own committee, and when a member missed the alloted meetings, I put it in the minutes and went after each one. Then I petitioned, got the signatures I needed, and got harder on them, so they appointed me. Persistance and fortitude pays off.

GOOD LUCK to you. Like Ron Paul, we learn to not give up or give in, and we can do this because we've got principles, eh?

Yes. And the right ones, at that.

Just wish we didn't have to overcome our "own" campaign too...

We are in agreement 100%

Mid-May was kind of like Pickett's charge...

...except with cannons firing at us from both front (Romney's camp on Cemetery Hill) and rear (the official Paul campaign on Seminary Ridge). And yet, the Ron Paul grassroots just kept a coming...and are still coming. CHARGE! DON'T STOP! ROMNEY's LINES ARE BREAKING AND BENEDICT BENTON'S OUT OF AMMO! CHARGE!

Love that

Benedict Benton is the new word in Traitors

funny you should mention

funny you should mention that.. if it weren't for Benedict Arnold, its highly likely we would never have won the American Revolution, so personally i would never attach that name to Benton. It is a shame he[arnold] turned on the precipice of victory, but looking at what happened, i have a hard time hating him too much. Wikipedia gives both sides of him a decent look, but the book "A rabble in arms" tells the story better, its a part of history conveniently ignored, but we all owe him our freedom[we owe that to lots of people, but he is one of them].

The official campaign had to work very hard...

...to derail the run-away train that was our grassroots momentum by mid-May. It took several poisoned press releases, Rand's endorsement and Ron's disappearance. But, they did it.

The grassroots campaign continued undaunted, however, after recovering from the shock of this betrayal. The cause continues, with or without the Benton's gang of double-dealing, donation-pilfering parasites.

Yep and...

The MSM and even Fox was talking up Paul till the Benton sold us out, I think Benedict Arnold has some competition now for worlds worst traitor, and he keeps it up by slamming the lawsuit after Paul himself takes a neutral stance anyone got a Benton effigy for the Paulfest?

An Olson effigy would also be in order.

But does anyone know what that spook subvertor looks like? He stays in the shadows and lets his clown-puppet Benton soak up the media spotlight (like a good black operator should).
