Recount is moving forward
I read on another forum about another candidate in the New Hampshire primary who is willing to apply for the recount. I wrote this morning to verify, and here is the response:

If everyone who wants to put to rest whether or not voter fraud occurred for any candidate, now is the time to act. The entire amount for the recall will need to be paid because there is absolutely ZERO chance that Albert Howard lost the race due to counting errors or fraud, but he is willing to put his name on the request. Let's put this thing to rest once and for all, and then we will be able to give 100% attention to winning the election. Those of you who post on other forums, spread the word. Obama supporters also are interested to find out what happened. If anyone is interested in consolidating efforts so we know how much needs to be collected and where we stand, please apply your talents so we can move on. (I don't have any of these resources or talents, I just want to confirm that something IS being done, and the official Ron Paul campaign is not the place to direct our attentions or frustrations right now.)
Hello!!!!!! You CAN'T do it this way!!!!
If you raise this money through a private individual like Granny warrior, you CAN'T use it for a recount called by a candidate!!!!!!! It will be considered a campaign contribution to that candidate EVEN IF you write the check directly to New Hampshire. That means all Granny Warrior could contribute would be $2300. Even a pac would be strictly limited.
If you want to pay for this you need individuals to contribute directly to Albert's campaign and then his campaign can pay for the recount. That way you also reduce any trace to Ron Paul supporters.
You people are acting recklessly and not thinking this through.

We owe it to each of our RP constituents as well as any other citizen whether they are a RP supporter or not to know if their votes are being counted correctly .... correctly counting votes is the key to this whole proces ....

New Hampshire HAS paper backups
My understanding is that the machines used in New Hampshire are counting machines. The ballots were fed into them originally to be counted, those same ballots can now be taken and counted by hand once the recount is authorized.

81% of it is Optical Scan electronic systems. These are like the old SAT tests, where you fill in a circle on a paper ballot and the ballot is read by a (hackable) machine. however.. you can crack open the voting box and look at the ballot itself.
Why can't the DailyPaul.com help get this done?
If this is true, and the only thing that is holding back a formal, official, legal recount request by Albert Howard is the money, then why can't the DailyPaul.com site just raise the $65K (or whatever) for him in one day and just get this done?
Front Page the relevant info about this recount request (confirming that it is real), and the procedure how to contribute - with the total raised posted.
Put that info on the Front Page, and we can then see a recount effort really in motion by early next week.

You would know then that Ron always looks at history to determine the future. The future, based on the first two states, only reveals that there will be more of the same shenanigans to make it impossible for Ron to win. I think it is great that Mr Howard is willing to demand a recount. You did not list a link to his website....I had to do a google search and found it. I did not see anything on the website about a recount or donating to a recount.....could we have more info?
Looks like the Granny's have gotten about $8,000 so far in donations for a recount.....if this is for real that Mr Howard will demand a recount....we need to get this word out and raise the money needed.

However, since there is nothing on the site specifying the recount, I plan to donate to grannywarriors and let them know I want if used for anyone to recount, not just the Ron Paul campaign. I will also respond to Albert Howard and let him know that is where I have sent the money and that there is already a fundraiser in progress.

From what I've heard, only half of NH has paper backups. No other state has paper backups at all. How are recounts done in other states without ANY paper backups?

No the democrat election is seperate from the republican election. I've "heard" that because of the open system there might be some republican (ie ron paul) vote in the democrat bundle, which means their recount could help us.

it cost around 60k, that's what I've been reading. I think it would be great if supporters of different candidates could cooperate on the raising of these funds. Though I support Ron Paul, he is not at the center of this issue. The issue is fraud and it is in the best interest of all citizens that this issue be resolved...one way or another
