Though not a surprise...Still very disturbing. The MASS GOP should be flooded with emails, faxes, and phone calls about this disgusting behavior.

Violates Rule #11

Since a state committee is not allowed to support a candidate in a primary, they are by trying to force this, breaking rule #11.

Even Michael Graham, no Ron Paul supporter himself, thinks so.

yes

This is the smoking gun in plain sight, it was handed to us on a silver platter.

It gives credence the RNC prematurely gave support to a predetermined candidate.

It was a slip of the tongue, Romney could be damaged beyond repair before the convention.

Disenfranchisement to weaken a voting block

One of the mechanisms that is used to disenfranchise ALL voters, is achieved when any single voter, or group of like minded voters have their ability to vote taken away from them. This is a form of coercion. If you do not do this thing, then this thing will be taken away from you, thus you will be harmed, (have your right to vote taken away from you), if you do not follow your conscience and vote your conscience then you will be harmed, and that is a threat of harm.

To have your right to vote, or to participate in the election process is a truly gigantic harm. There is no other harm with respect to ones civil rights that is greater than having the right to vote and participate in the process of election, at any level, taken away from an individual, or worse, from a group of individuals.

This is a threatened damage or harm to force or coerce you to vote a certain way.

This is exactly what the lawsuit addresses, the Civil Right voting lawsuit authored and now filed into the 9th judicial district court in California by Attorney Richard Gilbert.

As the voting block that wishes to vote their conscience for Ron Paul has been lessened or weakened by the threat to remove their right to vote, the entire voting block, me, you and all other persons in that voting block, are now harmed as the percentage strength of that voting block is now weakened or lessened.

Those that wish to vote for Romney are also harmed by this. As their vote is unfairly strengthened by a violation of the law, the likelihood that their vote will be fraudulent or might be spoiled because of the coercive threat to the other group, and now the harm of removing that group's right to vote and participate in the election process, the vote and votes of those supporting Romney are put into jeopardy.

This action precisely fits the letter and intent of the lawsuit. It's as if they are throwing this in the judge's face and daring him to sign the injunctive order for relief. Their actions are one of "frivolity" in the face of cited law, already adjudicated at the highest levels of the court in lawsuits that have already addressed these issues during the civil rights movement of the 1960's and at other times in the history of the United States of America. So this is an act of contempt for the court, and for the law that has recently been brought to the attention of the GOP by the lawsuit Richard Gilbert and Lawyers for Ron Paul has filed in the 9th district court.

Any machination designed to seriously affect our right to vote, in any way, shape or form is extremely serious, even if it might seem to be "fair" in some "present system" that we have as a society been trained to see as "that's just the way it is done".

Again, when any one individual has their right to vote taken away, due to coercion, threat or intimidation made with the implication that harm will come to the individual if they refuse to vote in a manner that is not what their conscience dictates then ALL members of that voting bloc are then disenfranchised as their voting strength is weakened statistically across the entire group.

Doug Wead responded to a question about Lawyers for Ron Paul

during his interview last night (about 13:50 minutes into the video):

(thanks to ALLRonPaul for link)

He makes it clear that Lawyers for Ron Paul have NOT been vetted by the Ron Paul organization.

because Paul is a Coward and wont fight for it

and WORSE the suit has nothing about reinstating all delegates who were disenfranchised. nothing. nada. zip.

You sound like

you would just love to direct the battle from the comfort of your armchair. Grow up.

I certainly agree with

everything that you have said here. However, I'm just wondering what sort of judgment, even were the suit to win, and even IF (a HUGE "if") it were to happen before the August convention, would offer redress of the harm. Would all the Romney delegates that were seated after the Ron Paul delegates were disallowed now be thrown out? Would all the disenfranchised Ron Paul delegates now be seated and allowed to cast their votes at the RNC? And what sort of punishment does the lawsuit request for the lawbreakers who are as we speak destroying our election process? And what will happen to the delegates who are now seated as a result of this process who never should have been seated at all had it been done fairly? It's difficult for me to imagine how this would all play out even if the lawsuit were to prevail and do so before the convention. The only scenario that I can envision that would be even slightly just would be about as likely as Obama suddenly being disqualified for the whole citizenship thing. How likely is it that the judge hearing this case is going to just slap an injunction on the RNC and prevent the convention from happening at all until this whole mess is straightened out and the guilty parties made to pay for their misdeeds? How likely is it that these scurrilous tactics will be negated and ultimately not be successful? I thoroughly laud the aims of this lawsuit and am happy that it is in place, but I fear that the corruption that permeates the election process has long ago infiltrated the judicial process too. I surely do hope I'm wrong, but I wouldn't bet on it.

well

if they don't have to follow rules or laws neither should we, if all else fails 1776 is still an option or what happened in Iceland to.

A mass protest is in order

Massachusetts has the network

Stop protesting.

I can

think of much better verb but I won't say out loud what we are all thinking.

Wasnt this issue already dealt with?

This just shows that the two gangs (DemoCRIPS and ReBLOODlicans), once the often meaningless voting is done, become completely authoritarian- NO DISSENT ALLOWED. If you're a partisan hack, your job is to fall in line and shut up so that the GOP's technocrats/insiders who lost four to eight years ago can now retake management of the power structure.

And we're going to take over this disgusting party? Have you heard what they're saying in Iowa...again? That the Paul people there are once again discrediting Iowa's first in the nation status. Not the old, dysfunctional party there- because you're never dysfunctional if you take the establishment line. They use the same attacks and same smears in every state.

And your answer to this problem is what?

Run third party? we have a hundred years of history to see how that turns out. Yes, we have to take over this disgusting party. If everyone would do thier part instead of sitting behind a computer screen carping in four years we are the GOP. I will steal a line from another DP'er. Like the farmer said to the mule, keep plowing!

Give the two party's what they deserve

Neither freedom or liberty. You cant fix stupid.Like the kids swearing and verbally assaulting at the woman bus monitor. Those kids parents are from both parties.

Money talks and dogs bark

could we concentrate on the GOP?

What Dems have to do with the Mass. affair?

Ron Paul ... forever.

Can anything be done about this?

Or is anything being done?

Lawsuit.

This is exactly what the recently filed lawsuit addresses, harm to individuals based on coercion, threat or intimidation through harmful actions when individuals attempt to vote their conscience, to vote as they see fit.

This is exactly what the lawsuit is about.

Lawsuit

I would expect this would be a major addition to the list of grievances over which the lawsuit is being filed.

Richard Gilbert's probable response.

Richard's fingers are bloody from constantly writing and adding the list of grievances, etc ... to the lawsuit. And yes, we need support, we need the sentiment of the Ron Paul people to start to support this lawsuit because THIS is the stick the GOP is truly terrified of.

We are all ... Ron Paul.

Agree completely...

Three Mass. delegates/candidates have signed onto the lawsuit.

The rest are apparently drinking the Benton campaign kool-aid - "be respectful" and do nothing that will upset the establishment GOP.

A big 'Thank you!' to the brave 'Massachusetts Three'.

WOOT !

WOOT ! WOOT ! WOOT !

Even if they do not sign on to the lawsuit, they are certainly considered to be potential witnesses as well as potential plaintiffs, and the receive the protection of the court because of the status the court view them with even if they are ONLY considering joining the lawsuit.

Action

Yeah, something's being done. We're taking over the Republican party for liberty one battle at a time!

More to yr point, I don't know what specific legal action is being taken, but I hope it's swift and potent.

boston

globe is not worth 99 cents. rofl Its not really even worth it even if it was free. The only reason I was even considering registering was to defend our delegates and curse the corrupt GOP. But I am not paying to do that lol

The entire GOP

is going to cheat the entire way. Why would we think the Mass GOP would all of the sudden start acting like human beings. This is Romney's home state, if anything we should be expecting the dirties tricks in the book from this crowd.

This is exactly why we need Lawyers for RP

to contend with this nonsense on a national level.

Ah yes

The party Rand wants to play nice nice with. Well, maybe after one more generation of Americans dies of old age...

SUE!

This can't be legal!

This is NOT legal. The

This is NOT legal.
The republican establishment and even the Ron Paul campaign and doug wead want to pretend that picking the GOP nominee is the GOP's own private club and they can do whatever they want and change the rules when they want.

They CANNOT. There are many federal laws and regulations that control the process of picking a nominee for each political party. Thankfully they are there in this case to try to protect the integrity of the nomination process.

Lawyers for Ron Paul need to SMASH this into oblivion and put the fear of prison into these criminals.

If they undertake this task, my only question will be where do I send the money to support them?
