for Jimmy

Who among other things was a lot better in terms
of fiscal responsibility than any of his successors have
turned out to be.

Jimmy Carter: a liberal, but a decent human being.

Carter also defends the Palestinians against the Israeli apartheid -- clearly he is NOT your usual establishment politician. He may have been an economic ignoramus, but he never got off on murdering people. Can't fault his later work with Habitat for Humanity, either.

Jimmy Carter Is The Best President Of My Lifetime

Bad on entitlements, but good on everything else, including and especially war (as President he didn't fire a single shot).

Ron Paul singled out the Fed Chairman that Carter appointed, Paul Volcker, as the best one in recent history.

I wish that Carter had been monitoring this GOP primary!

For quite some time now I have wished that President Carter and that group that he works with to monitor elections in other countries had been watching this republican primary. Ron Paul should have asked for President Carters help before New Hampshire.

good article

+1 for Jimmy Carter

Jimmy Carter is also

very outspoken on the need to end the war on Drugs.

It's the deeds that count.

Ron Paul ... forever.

And for ending the ridiculous

And for ending the ridiculous embargo against Cuba. He has publicly stated that during the Dubya administration. I think he should have brought it up again during Obama's first term.
