Looking like a brokered convention

Which of the candidates has a strategy that can grab a majority of the delegates prior to the convention? They are all pulling out of one state or another to concentrate on more fertile ground elsewhere. Right now, I don't see any of them "running the table".

Giuliani will take some big states, probably California, with a socially liberal climate aren't about to put Huckabee or Romney on top.

Unless the landscape changes fast, this is going to be a brokered convention. Now if one of these guys is willing to take the VP nod and throw his delegates to the strongest, maybe, but I don't see that possiblity given the egos involved.

Perhaps a good strategy for Dr. Paul is to concentrate on states in which delegates are selected by vote percentage, not the winner take all states. If we're honest, he's not yet a majority candidate by any stretch. However, if we don't implode by acting like anarchist mobs, we have a good potential to reach maybe another what, 10 or 15 percent...get 20-25 percent of the vote in those states and grab a chunk of delegates.

With enough delegates in a brokered convention, one can become a player pretty darn fast. Then politics can be interesting.

I'm praying the official campaign can overcome the smears and then somehow manage to hire some real professionals to make their media campaign, cause it ain't workin' now.

Very volatile year.

Why people think "liberals" would vote for The Ghoul is crazy!

He is MORE MOUSSOLINI THAN MOUSSOLINI!

This guy may favor abortion..but he also favors cops everywhere and lots n lots of laws legislating vitrue..

THE GHOUL has ZERO APPEAL TO A LIBERAL~~

I am one!

I'm with you, but

I'm talking about California republicans and the slate that we have. Independents and Democrats cannot vote in the Republican primary in California. There is an affinity between east coast and California, he's a big city guy not a country preacher, etc. The anti-terror but pro-abortion stance will play well. Dr. Paul is not going to win California, just being real, but that doesn't mean he can't do well. I can tell you that Giuliani has developed a big machine here over the last year...he knows very well this is a must state for him. He is far more positioned that any other candidate. Huckabee will go nowhere, Romney a little, McCain might do okay, though Repubs in Cali hate his amnesty bill support.

There is a decent libertarian faction in Cali, so Dr. Paul should be able to make some inroads.

Romney/Michigan

I did a quick check of his bio, and he left the state (after attending the exclusive Cranbrook School) after high school and never looked back. He's about as much a Michigander as Madonna.

It all don't matter

One bit, if we don't address the voter fraud.
End of story!!

Maybe that's not our job.....

Maybe the campaign is handling it quietly without making a big deal of it so as not to distract voters from the upcoming races. Or do you think they need to inform us of every strategy---purely confidentially of course----on the INTERNET!!! If we can't trust him to fight for fair elections, we obviously can't trust him to be President of the United States.

When I was there over Christmas break....

I saw nothing but Ron Paul signs. Looks like there is a big base. Their economy is shot. Ron should hit Michigan hard these next couple days.

He Has Recurring Nightmares

Of a certain boat trip... 8]

Romney will win this state...he was born there

and his father was governor........don't expect Paul to get more than 5%

Democrats and Independents

What about the Democrats and independents? They're not going to vote for Mitt!

Romney also pulled ads from SC and Fla to make sure of it

Sounds like these guys are having to watch their budgets.

Good time for Paul to strike

Good time for Paul to strike (maybe)
My dad (a political outsider) said that he is noticing Paul picking up a little speed but in order for anyone to take him seriously he has to win ONE state, then it'll be all his.

I agree but

I agree Paul has to win a state but where Romney was born? Pick 1 that an opponenent doesn't have a built in advantage.
