Facebook testing geo-location feature

"Accessing the service is as simple as logging into the page, giving Facebook permission to use your location and waiting for the search to determine who else is nearby. It is not clear how close somebody has to be to count as 'nearby.'"

Getting scary.

The Government has been able pinpoint and tract

any signal coming from a cell phone long before the smart phones came out. So I wouldn't be to worried about this, as much as I'd be concerned about letting anyone know my location period (geo-location is simple technology using your phones GPS).

If you’re really paranoid about all this, you can purchase a phone without GPS technology.

Check out Steamkeg.com, we us it in our gaming system.
