The RNC just called me.

Looking for a donation, of course. I told them that until they can treat Dr. Paul with dignity and respect they can kiss my ass.

The RNC/DNC honestly reminds

The RNC/DNC honestly reminds me of Nazi Germany. The Jewish people were the excuse back then. Today it's the Muslims. Hitler ultimately failed because Germany's best and brightest minds refused to take part in their shenanigans.

They called me twice

I felt very angry because the call came over my cell and both times interrupted me at work. I presume they got my phone number from my being a delegate to the state convention. Both times they called, I felt so angry but kept calm and told them both very sternly, **NO** we will NOT be donating any money to the RNC until they start standing for the conservative values and principles we hold dear and that this country was founded upon. Until then, we will continue supporting individual candidates who stand for our conservative principles and values and I don't want to be receiving anymore calls like this, to please take me off their calling list! And I hung up!

I'm waiting.....

I haven't gotten any calls yet, but I want to. I want to be on a jury too, but I never get asked. Darn the bad luck.

I plan on reading them the Republican oath and then pointing out how Mitt Romney's stances violate each and every one of the beliefs.

Shame on You

This is the problem with thinking of people as groups instead of individuals: either the person who called you was a GOP volunteer, and a loyal voter, who you perhaps could have won over to Ron Paul or other constitutional candidates, or they were a paid fundraiser doing one of the most hated tasks, taking abuse (like yours) and either ignoring what you said completely because they've developed a thick hide, or become one step closer to quitting the only job they could get.

Couldn't you have handled that in a positive way instead of abusing a stranger?

How much do you usually donate? Will the GOP even care?

What do you think? http://consequeries.com/

I do agree but I don't think

I do agree but I don't think the poster can be blamed for being caught up in the moment.

i was all for the OP's post, totally agreed with it, and then i read your post and felt bad.

you're right. we should be civil and take the higher road.

thanks for setting me straight.

I think this is the secret of Ron Paul's communicating, why we are always so uplifted after listening to his presentations. And because the truth is always there. Even that time when he answered Santorum: "-Because you are a fake" - which after all is an insult, it did not come as confrontational to me, the way it was said, because we will not be pushed either, and because that was the only true response to the question. It was said with dignity and without depriving Santorum of his dignity either.

Ron Paul ... forever.

it is all a learning process...

I like the post and I like the comment. There is always the next time.
Also, while I get the point about individuals - I think they are not always the "atoms" to our actions. We often treat individuals like labels. On another thread there was a contention about the label "Kucinich" - so could he be praised for thanking Ron Paul for the work on the FED audit bill.

In the case of the calls it was two units: two separate acts of communication about an issue of donation between two humans.

And yes, could she be a hired caller from a private prison?

Ron Paul ... forever.

I got an "Urgent Survey" for the Romney Campaign yesterday.

According to the accompanying (form) letter it seems that Mitt desperately needs my advice on some critical issues. And he was affording me the opportunity to help guide his policies. The questionaire had such cutting edge questions as:

(On a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being not at all and 10 being extremely important)

"How excited are you about an election coming up in November?"

"How important is it to you that Obama lose the election?"

I understand that Romney was sitting up waiting, white knuckled, and anxious to find out my answers to those deep and pressing questions.

He may have been slightly less happy to discover my answer to the next question which was:

"How important is it to you that you advise all of your friends to vote for Mitt Romney?"

Trust me. The way I answered that "critical question" may put a little damper on our good buddy Mitt's enthusiasm.

I also got a survey a few months ago from GOP

...I answered the questions as a good newborn Paulite would, but at the end they wanted a donation of $15 for "my answers to be counted".

GOP certainly has a way with "counting" things. I sent it since they paid the postage, but no donation. (I would donate $15 for my vote to be counted. :)

Ron Paul ... forever.

I got that as well

RNC letter AND a Romney letter in the same envelope. I took a sharpie and wrote, "Remember rule #11?" on it. Then I wrote "Ron Paul or not at all" on the RNC survey.

I think they will like that.

Hell yeah. U go man.

Sometime ago, I took to answering their calls ..

... but was not quite so direct and "elegant".

Instead I would say:
- If you want my vote, then put put up a real Rebuplican WHO OBEYS the Constitution.
- Why do you support candidates who are indistinguishable from the Democrats you just have to beat?
- What do you have against the Constitution?
- Why do you fight against and cheat to beat the man who upholds and obeys the Constitution.

Of course any of these lead to further questions, which they cannot answer.

One caller stated that we have to "get behind" Mitt beause he is a conservative. I told him, "No he is not, he is a tool of the central bankers". The guy wanted to argue with me, so I just dumped the facts on him. He hung up.

Many others are willing to talk about it. I ask them if they are familiar with the Federal Reserve - "Have you read 'Creature from Jekyll Island'?" I tell them to write that down, get the book and read it. After you do that, call me back and tell me again why you want to support Romney.

It's fun! It's educational! It's good practice for debate! Stay calm, and be firm, no need to yell or get frustrated or hang up on them - IT'S AN OPPORTUNITY to get them thinking. Some will! Some won't. This is a battle of wits - they are mostly poorly armed.

I got the mass mailer this week...

Complete with personal letters from Romney and Reince something-or-other. I don't know what his last name was - I threw it in the trash before I got that far.

I have sworn upon the altar of God, eternal hostility against every form of tyranny over the mind of man. ~ Thomas Jefferson

You made it farther than me

I threw it in the trash without even opening it when I saw Romney's name on the outside of the envelope.

I can't wait for

my first groveling letter from the RNC to donate money.

If its postage paid..

Get a big box and fill it full of rocks.

Use clear tape and tape the postage paid return on the top. It will cost them an arm and a leg.

Remember to thank them for all the positive support they have lent to Dr. Paul.

(maybe I should start this as its own thread!!!)

'Peace is a powerful message.' Ron Paul

..especially that they do not have the sender address on the envelope.

Ron Paul ... forever.

No...they want a stamp too!

No...they want a stamp too! At least that was they way my beggin' letter came to me.

If my need to be RIGHT is greater than my desire for TRUTH, then I will not recognize it when it arrives ~ Libertybelle

Rocks...and lots of 'em

Include a little note telling them that you sent rocks because they are worth more than the federal reserve debt notes they so ravenously crave.

The lesser of two evils is still an evil.

Lucky me, I don't think

Lucky me, I don't think they'll call me, I just now got on the 'radar' to get stuff sent to me(20 right now). Or perhaps not so lucky, I'd love to give that response to them if they called me...

I've been getting RNC "surveys" by mail asking for donations.

I send them back in their prepaid envelopes letting them know the same as you. The goal to get them to stop sending them.

Ron Paul 2012

I used to get those phoney surveys

from them all the time. All they wanted was a donation and I wasn't about to give them anything, especially when they asked those skewed questions as a pretense for filling their piggy bank. Haven't gotten one in a couple of years, though.

Please, if any of our people make it up the food chain one day, ask real questions in the surveys and put me back on the mailing list (if I am still around).
