Is US government setting stage to outlaw Vitamin D like raw milk?

(NaturalNews) The United States government has just crossed the threshold of nutritional insanity with an announcement that postmenopausal women should avoid taking vitamin D. This announcement, made by the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force, is tantamount to declaring war on nutrition. In a nation where 90+ percent of the population is chronically deficient in vitamin D, any government edict that encourages people to avoid this lifesaving vitamin will only result in more cancer, more Alzheimer's disease, more bone fractures, more diabetes and more kidney disease.

... which is, of course, exactly what the medical establishment wants. After all, how are the drug companies supposed to make money treating patients with cancer if they prevent cancer themselves by using dirt-cheap vitamin D?

The mainstream media, predictably, has dutifully followed the government's anti-nutrition advice by distorting the conclusions of the study and running headlines like this one in USA Today, the corporate-run disinfo outlet:

Sunshine and fish

Good vitamin D sources are sunshine and fat fish. Forget about expensive and artificial supplements. Get out and into the sunshine. Good for you. Eat salmon and mackerel. Healthy and good for you.

Research indicates 10k iu a day

of d3 is more than likely what you should take. What I do is take 5k iu a day of liquid d3 with one non gmo k2 aday with 2 drops of potassium iodide and 1 drop of potassium iodine along with selenium ( or 1 brazil nut). Also I take astaxanthan which is a super antioxident, tumeric with black pepper and I take coconut oil. You must eat fat with your d3 to be asorbed. K2 is awesome by it's self but combined with d3 it is a tag team that's unbeatable. K2 makes sure you do not get calcium deposits in your veins which can occur from excess d3 and if you have calcium in your arteries already the k2 takes it out and puts it in your bones where it belongs.Tumeric and black pepper is also a super anti oxident adaptogen.

Doctors do not know a darned thing about nutrition. I can prove it. On your next Dr visit ask about nutrition and all you'll get is a puzzled look with a vague pat answer like "Oh you can eat anything" "Oh soda is okay" "Sure you can have fries but a potato is good too" or some other BS. No worries. You'll probably only get his nurses assistant anyway. Seeing a real doctor is rare these days.

Drink milk for calcium. Use whole lactose free so there is minimal processing. They do have lactose free Ice Cream.

I wouldn't drink milk for calcium, I'd eat leafy green vegetables. Calcium in milk is not as absorbable as that found in whole foods. And milk nowadays is garbage anyways.

Vitamin D in millk

is Vitamin D2 - synthetic and virtually worthless. Certain fish supply Vitamin D. Almond milk sold in stores is a processed product. Easy to make your own with almonds and water.

Vitamin D3 must be taken with fat for it to work.

Get level tested before taking more than 5000 iu's per day. You can do an online test if doc refuses.

My level was extremely low (7) and I have been taking 10,000 a day for 3 years. No ill effects. Instead, no colds, flus, viruses, reduced joint pain, and better mood.

Sunscreen prevents Vitamin d absorption. It also causes cancer.

Try raw milk for vitamin D. What the cow eats is what you drink and eat. Raw milk from sunshine bathed and grass fed roaming cows has got to be the milk in the phrase land of milk and honey. It tastes great and it heals.

At my most recent physical

I found out that my insurance would cover all the blood tests my doctor ordered but will no longer cover testing vitamin D levels.

I actually have a liking to what the task force has been doing. They are studying the usefulness of many interventions and almost always conclude we should not be intervening as much as we do.

In the above case, I had the opposite reaction. I find it disturbing that I cannot buy milk at a grocery store without vitamin D in it. A below commenter said 15 minutes sunshine is all you need. We get enough vitamin D people and too much of a good thing is detrimental.

This government task force is producing research that enables me to explain to people that they do not need to fall victim to the "preventive" medicine model which results in the opposite effect. Instead of preventing the problem many services increase the problems and worsen health.

Although I did not need a task force to understand this it is good to have the research published for legal purposes and patient education.

I consider research and try

I consider research and try not to conclude beyond the evidence. Of course vitamin D is good. Too little vitamin D is bad. Too much is also bad. How much is too much? How is vitamin D absorbed? How activated? Every nutrient has a natural mechanism. Sunlight. Foods. Etc. Find the right foods and get a little sun. Not sure how you would not be able to. I have some doubts on research because most is published for a reason other than to discover truth. Money, fame, needing to get published for career, etc. Does not mean the research is entirely bad, but you must ask whether the conclusions of a study are appropriate for the knowledge gained by the research.

Not saying whether someone should take vitamin D supplements or not. That is not my concern. The government has no business outlawing vitamin D! I just wanted to put out a word of warning that the truth is not always as things appear.

But what people call "vitamin B-17" is not a vitamin at all, it's a substance (Google: Amygdalin) that breaks down into cyanide in the body.

I take

5000 iu's a day and don't get the flu. One of my sons two years ago got the flu and ended up in the i.c.u. because he is a diabetic. He refuses to take vitamins. The rest of us didn't get the flu though. We take our vit. faithfully.
I noticed at Walmart a few months ago they stopped selling the 5000 iu bottle. I usually buy mine on line but I suspected something when I saw that. They don't want people getting enough in one pill. I live in N.H. and you can't always get enough sun everyday. Especially in the winter or many rainy days.

The reason folks get the flu in winter is due to lack of Vit D

from sunshine. This is why I always decline to get the flu vac at each and every time of the year it is offered (right around Sept), a requirement at hospital/clinic work, and this is coming from me, a nurse. Not only me, but I notice several hospital staff that I work with decline to get the flu vacs as well. I just get the necessary 15min of sunshine (at breaks, where I am in Los Angeles), along with some cod liver oil I take daily, for good measure.

The US Gov't is not satisfied enough with the vaccine racket (flu vac in this case) forced upon the brainwashed US Public...and now this friggin' BS Vit D ban?!!

a day and your body will produce all the vitamin D you need. Let's see if they can take that away. :)
