Yes, even some govt workers are beginning to wake up.

Funny TSA Story

Posted by Lew Rockwell on June 26, 2012 07:55 AM

Writes a friend:

As I was returning from Nicaragua this past weekend (a strange little country, where the government, although purportedly socialist, is also so poor and weak that it can't really do anything about its dreams of becoming the Handicapper General), I was making my way through the "after-you-go-through-customs-and-have-to-get-re-searched-by-TSA" screening at the Miami airport.

As I unloaded all my junk onto the X-ray conveyor, a young TSA "officer" noted a book in one of my bins. He picked it up and said, "What is this, the biggest book ever?"

It was the bound 4-volume set of "Conceived in Liberty," by Murray Rothbard (purchased from the Mises Store, of course).

"No, I said, but it is one of the best."

"What is it about?" he asked.

"It's about liberty, and how throughout history all police states, like the one you are working for now, never really last because of the desire of men to be free. Read it," I said. "You will probably quit your job."

He looked at me through narrowed eyes, as he watched me gather my things on the far side of the X-ray machine. "Lucky me," I thought, "I am already through security. Otherwise I probably would have spent the next hour being felt up by some latter day Inquisitor."

But I shouldn't have worried. As I bent down to pick up my last item and started to walk out, I heard a whisper in my ear. It was the TSA fellow.

"It all started with the damn Federal Reserve, you know," he said.

just refused to go through the tsa cancer machines

The tsa agent asked why I didn't want to go through. I said, "I don't trust them". He brought me aside and explained the groping procedure. He asked if I wanted a private room. I said no, I'm good with doing this in the public. As he was groping me, he did his best to convince me that the machines are safe. He said that the technology is the same that the drones use in afganistan (what about the drones in the US). He then explained how it doesn't penetrate dense objects like human skin, buy will penetrate less dense objects like clothes. By then the groping was over. He said knowledge is power. I replied, " yes, it is! I'm not convinced and will do more research on the machines. And that I need better evidence and more facts before I put my body through that." The Tsa agent said that he goes through it all the time and he has no twitches or tumors (that makes me feel safe!).

(Ps sorry for the poor writing, typing this on my Droid at the gate)

It actually freaks me out how

It actually freaks me out how rapidly people are awakening. There is a huge discrepancy with how successful our mass awakening has been per anecdotal evidence and the political results. Its building towards a big clash unless we are allowed by the powers that be to have political success so that the system is not utterly discredited like the Communist system was in Eastern Europe. I keep seeing people reading Ayn Rand books, she's not perfect but its a GREAT start...she was anti-corporatist too.

Ventura 2012

yup.

but I'd call that a grrrrrreat 'freak out'!!!! .o)

Brother in Liberty

This just reminds us all that what we do as activists does create real change does effect change -- changing hearts and minds.
