Consequences of Ron Paul Delegate Lawsuit

The recent lawsuit of the RNC by Ron Paul delegates, although its intentions are just, has one big unintended consequence.  This lawsuit extends to several state parties and their chairmen, and one of these states is Iowa.  You may have heard that recently at the Iowa GOP state convention Ron Paul took most of the delegates, however this is only half of the story.  This was made possible by the fact that the Liberty movement has been gaining ground within the state party for many years now.  Currently, the majority of the State Central Committee, including the State Party Chairman, are friends of Liberty, if not outright Ron Paul supporters.  These are the state leaders that are now facing this lawsuit by fellow Paul supporters.  This is extremely detrimental to the cause here in Iowa, and must be dealt with.  How are we as Iowa Republicans supposed to advance the cause of Liberty here in our state when we are being attacked from our own brethren?  Furthermore, the major point of the lawsuit of the is to unbind national delegates going to Tampa, however, Iowa delegates have never been bound to a candidate.  We need help, understanding, and support to nourish the Liberty minded Republican Party of Iowa!

Call me crazy,

they are mostly ignorant of the truth and issues that face them and the entire country. We can win by education. They need education...on issues that truly affect them and their children and grandchildren. They actually believe the likes of McCain, Bush, Santorum, Gingrich and their State reps as well.

At a recent Legislative District meeting I managed to ask some questions about nullification of NDAA and Obamacare to three candidates running for State Sen. and State Rep.. The look on half the people in the room was clear; they did not know anything about NDAA and the nullification process. I even said that I thought many in the room did not understand and that I thought it would be great to get a speaker at a meeting to explain the process and why it is so powerful and necessary. Many heads nodded that learning more would be a good idea. Infiltrate and educate, that is my motto. I bring books to lend and I share articles. Leave Ron's name out of it. The issue is Liberty and Constitutional law...

It might be a great idea to start a collection of great articles we could designate for use on current events and issues to print and haul off to the legislative district meetings. Just place them on the chairs. Hand them out. Let them read. Some districts are using email a lot now. Just send things to everyone in the mailing list.
Let them learn.

All the suit is asking for is that the delegates be allowed

to vote their mind. That's it.

While it may annoy the new Iowa GOP

and is almost certainly underserving...I believe they named every state and terroritory in the suit. I very much doubt anyone from the Iowa GOP will be called to testify, but they are a part of the Republican party now, and will be held to account for free and fair election practices (as it should be). The major difference is, you won't have to change any of your practices.

I see no..

consequences to the Iowa Liberty officials. Unless they have done something criminal that you are leaving out of the story. Otherwise, this is a non starter posting and should naturally be deleted. Why do people post this crap?

Great state!

So just unbind them again I guess.

The establishment gop

have forsaken the the Constitutional Platform and have become the corrupted political oligarchy of the two party system of the dems and repubs that the criminal, inbred, nwo elitists control. They do not represent this Nation and it's citizenry, they are infact the enemy from within.

His whole point

Is that the liberty movement did exactly what Dr. Paul hoped they would in Iowa. They ousted the establishment with hard work, organization and enthusiasm. Presumably they ran a fair election after taking over the leadership of the convention. If all states had been so well organized and committed we would be having a different conversation right now.
