AG Holder Suddenly in Perilous Quandary: Moderate Dems Move with Republicans on Contempt Charges (Video)

The congressional contempt vote against Attorney General Eric Holder is looking more and more like a fait accompli, as House Speaker John Boehner presses ahead with a Thursday floor vote and conservative Democrats one-by-one announce they will side with Republicans.

At least four Democrats so far have said they plan to vote to hold Holder in contempt over his refusal to turn over Operation Fast and Furious documents. Sources told Fox News that roughly 20 are likely to break ranks.

Those Democrats are largely conservative-leaning lawmakers facing perilous political circumstances in their home districts. But regardless of motive, their support only increases the odds that the nation's top law enforcement official will be held in contempt of Congress come Thursday.

Just sayin'.

"The casualty of partisanship is objectivity."

A one world government won't leave anyone standing

it will be strictly appointed, and that doesn't include todays US democrats and republicans, house senate and otherwise. I hope these foolsa are starting to wake up to that fact..I really hope all these state RNC fools realize this.

Just one last kick in the nuts, then a final deathblow

obama ordered fast and furious

Retaliation for handing the Guise complaint to Criminal Division

There was a legitimate criminal complaint made to Holder against all members of congress for not calling an Article V convention.

He gave it to the Criminal division for prosecution. Of course the courts aren't going to uphold the constitution against congress, they just gave congress unlimited corporate campaign finance, so the unconstitutionals are making a fake run at contempt and congress is heading it because Holder simply recognized the facts of the congressional record showing violations of; constitution, oath, and law.

Can we stop doing all the things we are doing that we do not want to do while still doing what we need to do?

A Washington insider who tips

A Washington insider who tips the Ulsterman Report and another report-can't think of the name - gave up inside the White House info about 3 weeks before the first small news story came out about Fast & Furious.
It's the report that has edition numbers, and I don't recall the edition number either. But you have a timeline if you want to go in search of.

This insider was standing within earshot of Obama when a call came in.
the conversation was about a plan he and Holder had to strip our 2nd amendment rights, and that Hillary was on board with it. The gist of the rest was that results from part of the plan would be visible shortly.
So, on the forums where it was leaked, we watched. 3 weeks later, the first story broke about the American guns being used in the action that took out the American border agent.

IMO, there are good guys at every level now. We are getting leaks, heads up's, and maybe just maybe they are moving some of these quiet investigations along within some places in Congress.

Cool that this is happening the same day that Ron Paul is being inducted into the Congressional Baseball Hall of Fame.

So it was never a secret to

So it was never a secret to begin with.

That's great and all...

This is great news, because obviously this entire deal with Fast and Furious has been a total crapfest, and Obama and Holder are looking more incompetent as time goes on.

But what happens when someone is "held in contempt"? Does any legal or judicial thing happen to them? Does it affect what they can or can't do at all? Or is it just like when the UN "condemns" something? Basically they get together and read off a lengthy, angry-sounding document with big legal words that in the end mean nothing to anyone?

Trying circumstances

Mr. Holder might not do a good job prosecuting himself, so (if I understand it correctly) the case would be given to one of his underlings. I forget whom, but I read that he is an Obama appointee. That guy would be expected to investigate and take the case to a federal grand jury in DC if warranted. If the grand jury true-billed it, and Holder were then found guilty at trial, he could face fines and up to a year in the slammer.
