ObamaCare Passed: More Corruption In America

Today, the Supreme Court of the United States of America declared that the healthcare mandate known as "ObamaCare". The Supreme Court Justices have declared that while buying the health insurance is not a legal necessity, the ruling in the eyes of many anti-ObamaCare citizens in the US are seeing through this transparent cover-up statement. ObamaCare is mandatory in the United States now, and if it the health insurance is not maintained, one will be penalized for NOT having health care. Ladies and gentelman this is just one small step towards greater tyranny in America

This healthcare mandate will fail miserably if nothing is done about it through the legislative branch. The country is already in debt and having the government pay for everyone's health insurance is a no-brainer to increasing the national debt. I suppose that the Supreme Court has figured out how to solve this problem though. Again, the Court has stated that there will be a 'penalty' for those who do not have the insurance, but this ruling is put into view in the words of Chief Justice John Roberts via a Yahoo! article written by Liz Goodwin. A portion of the article "Supreme Court upholds Obamacare individual mandate as a tax" reads:

' "If an individual does not maintain health insurance, the only consequence is that he must make an additional payment to the IRS when he pays his taxes," Roberts writes. He adds that this means "the mandate is not a legal command to buy insurance. Rather, it makes going without insurance just another thing the government taxes, like buying gasoline or earning an income."'

So much for "No taxation without representation". If the American government honestly thinks that taxing its people will help anything then they are misguided. Piling on more taxes will only lead to more people being unable to care for themselves. Many Americans are already losing jobs and losing their homes and yet the government believes that taking even more money out of their paycheck will help? Some families can barely get by on their paychecks and won't be able to afford this health insurance. Are you really going to tax them and take the last bit of spare money they have left? This is the work of a tyrant.

Now, let's say that someone does not want to maintain the health insurance because they feel as if they don't need it. This person lives a steady life, decent work hours and pay, a safe driver, and doesn't drink or smoke, so in their mind there is no reason to change insurances. This person is already being taxed for things he does have and use such as gasoline to fill their car and their yearly income, so why should he be taxed more for something he DOESN'T use?

All in all, people are being forced to pay for something that they may not want or need. Through this, the government is forcing Americans to do as it wills, disregarding everything America stands for. House Representative Ronald Paul (R TX-14) issued a statement earlier today after the ruling of the Supreme Court, part of which said:

"The issue is that this compulsion implies the use of government force against those who refuse. The fundamental hallmark of a free society should be the rejection of force. In a free society, therefore, individuals could opt out of “Obamacare” without paying a government tribute."

It seems to me that the five Court Justices who voted for the passage of this law did not take into account the first paragraph of Article 1 Section 8 in the Constitution of the United States which states all taxes and things as such should be "uniform throughout the United States,". If only those who do not maintain the new health insurance much pay a tax, the tax is not uniform throughout the United States population.

The Supreme Court has a duty to uphold Constitutional laws, not to make or break laws by sheer power of numbers. This new 'law' shall be a major failure to America if it is not stopped quick enough by legislation. The passage of ObamaCare is just one more sign of corruption in America and the tyranny of our government.
