Televangelist says to write in Jesus

Apparently Bill Keller has already gotten 168,000 people to pledge to write in Jesus of Nazareth for president. That's more people than voted for Cynthia McKinney in 2008, so it could be enough to swing the election.

All those people do realize that Jesus has already given a Shermanesque statement, right (John 6:15)? Why don't they vote for Ron Paul instead, since he's actually running?

Bump for Jesus.

Bump for Jesus.

I actually wrote the minister a letter, because I couldn't commit to the pledge because it says the candidates are like it is a sure thing, instead of if the candidates are.

Usefully, I want to rewrite this for Tampa too, becasue I can't vote for an anti Christ candidate as a delegate either. I'd vote Jesus Christ instead.

He is not running.

He died acouple thousand years ago. If he arose, he is in a spiritual realm, not here, unless you believe heaven is only 3 feet above the ground, as I do.

I have sworn upon the altar of God eternal hostility to every form of tyranny over the mind of man.

Paul is not running either.

give it up. a sane, mentally healthy person would know paul has no chance and has already publicly said so, along with people onhis campaign from his son to hunter and others.

you must be anti-jesus if you tell others to not write in jesus bec paul is running.

at least with jesus, you actually get a different party. meaning, jesus has nothing to do with the republican party or dnc. but paul is aligned with the republican party and staunchly has said he will always remain a republican.

Some of us are a lot longer

Some of us are a lot longer than others.

If I was a complete cynic, I'd use this news story in the exact same way as I'm not, actually believing. It's what is in the heart, not your outside appearance.

And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor.

I'm done with the DP for awhile.

Every day I log on to this sight, where there is a divisive religious post on the front page or in the top topics. Posts, that are submitted (and kept bumped) by fundamentalist that no matter how it is explained to them that their posts are divisive, they feel entitled to keep blindly hacking away at support from current and potential Paul supporters. Thanks to all of the, now easily distinguishable, fundy trolls for putting your own religious self promotion before the pursuit of Liberty for all. Vote for Jesus? Really? That is as effective as prayer. Furthermore, I am tired of resisting the compulsion to reply to the bigoted, biased, blind comments on these topics in order to point out to the posters how their behavior on this forum is counterproductive. Please, please, just consider the amount of people that would never go GOP, that have willed themselves to overcome or set aside their personal feelings toward the religious right, in order to support RP and the Liberty movement.

I'll pray for all of you (Christanese for "fuck you and the horse you rode in on").

GET OUTSIDE THE FORUM, GET OUTSIDE IN THE FRESH AIR, ACTUALLY SPREAD THE MESSAGE OF LIBERTY, DO SOMETHING THAT WILL HAVE A REAL IMPACT!

Hmm...

I don't know if I could vote for him. I mean, I like Jesus... except on foreign policy.

WearsMyLiberty.com - Liberty shirts and Ron Paul shirts to spread the message

Ron Paul is a man with flaws

Ron Paul is a man with flaws and who has certainly made mistakes, but no other candidate tries so hard to live his life the way Jesus would want him to. So why doesn't Bill Keller ask people to write in a man who is actually a candidate and who could actually serve as president?

Is This The Israel of Today?

"I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the Synagogue of Satan." — Revelation 2:9

Seems like it to me when you know the actual history.

Personal opinion, but I think

Personal opinion, but I think anyone that denies Jesus is an anti-Christ, and you can see a lot of examples in the four gospels which this verse is about.

That it is to the church of Philadelphia is comforting to me.

And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor.

I'm an anti-christ!! An

I'm an anti-christ!! An anti-christ for liberty!!!!!! What the fuck does it matter when all I want is for all of us to be free? That actually makes me more christ like than most of you xtians around here judging us non xtians. Go figure.

Sell your soul and

Sell your soul and everlasting life.

And not even for anything material, but for a vote for a politician that it won't make any difference for anyway.

Did you actually read the article and think about it?

Matthew 16:26 For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

Here, people are being asked to sell their soul not even for the whole world, but for a VOTE for a politician that doesn't even care. A really cheap selling of your own soul for nothing.

Was this reply directed

Was this reply directed toward me max? Because it doesn't seem to pertain to anything I said. I don't believe in a soul or everlasting life so it doesn't matter regardless.

You're losing the context

You're losing the context because I'm still talking about the original news story.

A soul exists even if it is not everlasting - (but it was meant to be). A soul is yourself, who you are.

I believe Baum was making a pun on it when he was refering to "sole" as in shoe. Sole - as in self, not shoe.

And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor.

I'm not trying to argue

I'm not trying to argue anything with you Max. I'm just saying that your response to me doesn't really have anything to do with what I said is all.

...yeah..

Jesus was...is, a good dude. Problem is, AIPAC would never approve of him...and he was..is, anti war. Nope, don't think Jesus can win in 2012.

Jesus is unelectable.

Plus, I'd like to see his birth certificate.

Yes, Jesus is not a natural

Yes, Jesus is not a natural born citizen of the United States, a country that didn't exist until long after he was crucified. So that leaves Ron Paul as the only viable choice.

The United States is not

The United States is not above God.

Sorry. I don't have faith in human institutions. I think the pledge usefully says "under God" in it.

The problem in the United States isn't the government, it's the people. You keep acting like your going to fix an idol, and it isn't going to work.

You need a savior.

And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor.

Yup, AIPAC and Bill Kristol's

Yup, AIPAC and Bill Kristol's Emergency Committee for Israel would send 10 million dollars to whoever ran against Jesus.

I'd rather vote for Jesus.

I'll vote for Jesus. He rules now, and I'm waiting for him to return shortly and this is a statement of it.

As opposed to an antichrist candidate, Jesus Christ gets my vote. He is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords and ruler.

And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor.

If anything...

...all the garbage that has gone on in the primaries should prove to anyone that the elections are fixed anyway.
