Andy Griffith vs. the Patriot Act. RIP Andy.

Please share this with others.

Andy Griffith, an actor whose folksy Southern manner charmed audiences for more than 50 years on Broadway, in movies, on albums and especially on television — most notably as the small-town sheriff on the long-running situation comedy that bore his name — died on Tuesday at his home on Roanoke Island in North Carolina. He was 86.

Anybody know what was cut out toward the end?

I was guessing

it was just a poor edit.

Loving the conviction. Men raising up! Integrity. YES.

Andy Griffith was the heart

Andy Griffith was the heart of American values. But it's pretty bad he endorsed obama when he signed NDAA into law -- a total opposite of what Griffith was saying in this video!

Back in the days that the media reflected the way things are...

Too bad

Sheriff Taylor is the model of what every cop should be.

I loved the show. The actor

I loved the show. The actor was a big time supporter of Democrat politics. I live in N.C. and every time that it is an election cycle, Andy Griffith would put on his Andy Taylor persona with radio ads for every democrat running. To be fair, when he was a younger man and was developing his political beliefs the democrats of that era were probably a lot better than today's democrat party. But that last part is just a guess on my part.

Great Post!

I grew up watching this stuff.

You have to wonder how Oppie feels about this issue today...and what he has the influence to do about it. Many life lessons in this TV series.

RIP Andy.

Stand up

I got a cd with Griffith's stand up comedy act from early in his career.

it's pretty funny down home humor, if reflective of its time. Lot's of funny subtext and innuendo b/c you couldn't quite say certain things in polite society.

classic stuff rip andy

uncommon sense

probably had the plug pulled on good ole Andy after Roberts decision. The death panel needed a test victim.

On the other hand... I loved his show with Aunt Bea, Oppie, Barney, Gomer, Floyd, Otis, and all the rest... didn't care for Mayberry RFD though with that Berry dude and the guy with the stash though.

It's time! Rand Paul 2016!

"Truth, Justice, and the American Way!"

That's a stupid joke.

That's a stupid joke.

Very nice.

I own the first five seasons and have watched them more times than any normal human should. I just love the show.

Besides, it was literally the only thing my wife and I had to watch. We don't have cable or any other DVD's. Now we have the net and I have left the fine folks of Mayberry to wonder where I have gone. This brings me back.

A great clip. Good luck catching anything like that any more.

How times have changed, and

How times have changed, and television with it. Now the popular shows have Gestapo look-alike SWAT teams pulling doors off their hinges and firing off stun grenades without anyone ever so much as pulling a search warrant out of his pocket.

Norma Jean's Birthday Buddy

Both "Andy Taylor" and "Marilyn Monroe" were born on June 1, 1926. We lost them both too soon. One at 36 and one at the tender young age of 86. Way too soon either way.

Bon voyage, and thanks for the awesome entertainment.

Hard to say which episode I like the best, but I can watch them all day, especially the black and white episodes.

I like the ones with Ernest T. Bass

I'm 22 and still watch an episode several times a month. I wish the the actor matched the character a bit more, but am very thankful for the show.

Andy Griffith was just another

Hollywood whore. Yes I liked watching the Andy Griffith show but when is the last time you watched with the knowledge you have now?

How about the episode where the guy didn't want to be vaccinated by the government doctor and Andy so self righteously conned the "stupid hillbilly" to get his shot. That is the first episode that pops into my mind.

And not to mention his recent commercials promoting Obamacare to senior citizens so that they would be even more willing to enslave their grandchildren.

We are better off without him.

Get your head on straight, man.

A man just died and you call him a whore. Pessimistic Eyeore has to find a way to even bring it down further. Some of you people really do need to get outside and breathe some fresh air. This blog is turning your brains into batsh1t.

Blah blah

Sorry to interfere with your Idol whoreship. You don't know Andy Griffith from Adam yet you put him on a pedestal like he is special. What about the thousands of other people who die every day? You don't know them either so why not tribute to them. At least one or two of them my have believed in liberty.

He Received a Presidential Medal of Freedom--Do you have one?

You probably have won several Debby Downer awards.

Just sayin.....

So did Kissinger, Rumsfeld, Cheney, and Ted Kennedy to name a few. Please don't use something like that to blindly defend someone's integrity. That being said, I loved the Andy I did know, which was only the screen persona. May he RIP.

Link or it didn't happen

Free includes debt-free!

And here's the episode link

Here's your link

Hollywood Whore just like I said. You people can go ahead and whoreship these people if you want to. That just makes you part of the problem.

Snotty little brat aren't you.

The Sheriff did it to impress the Nurse, not because it was the right thing to do.

He tricked the old farmer by appealing to his want of fame.

The nurse wanted to get 100% on her assignment.

Those that were on the Nurses' side rooted for the nurse. Those that thought the farmer was right in the first place, thought him foolish to give his permission.

It's a stage play, not an altar to worship. Get a grip.

Free includes debt-free!

yes and those "Stage Plays"

are just what have you brainwashed into loving Obamacare. Which is what the link is to which you apparently didn't watch.

It is a great clip. Too bad

It is a great clip. Too bad shows like this aren't on anymore. In case some don't know it, that kid is Ron Howard, who has become a phenomenal movie director...
