Does anybody else feel that the 4th of july would be better spent mourning the loss of freedom instead of celebrating it?

mourning the loss of freedom instead of celebrating it?

If so how would you mourn?

I am sorry for bringing up a depressing subject, but between the patriot act, the tsa, and now oboma care, I am unsure of the freedoms I still have to celebrate.

Kinda like Thanksgiving.

Let's celebrate coming to a land populated by native people and decimating them and their lifestyle, then becoming worse than the people we declared independence from. Wow, we have come a long way. Backwards...

What about us writing our

What about us writing our own, new, Declaration to be posted here?

No long faces

Learn it, live it, love it.

I feel your pain...

.

The individual has always had to struggle to keep from being overwhelmed by the tribe. If you try it, you will be lonely often, and sometimes frightened. But no price is too high to pay for the privilege of owning yourself.

It's an opportunity for more education.

Most people have totally lost any understanding of the benefits of Independence. Calling it Dependence Day or Obedience Day may encourage a little thinking.

No! This is a day we celebrate.

We can have November 5th as a day we morn our lost freedoms.

Neither.

We should be fighting to restore it.

NO!!!!!!!!!!

TPTB want you to give up Independence. TPTB want you to give up America. TPTB want you to surrender to them and a NWO.

Not Me!

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE FROM NWO DAY

America is the new world

America is the new world order. You should be thankful!

How so?

How is America the NWO/ Global government?

I am THANKFUL for the Bill of Rights, and why I am fighting to restore Constitutional Government, which is being replaced by a global government under the U.N. Agenda 21: Sustainable Development that has divided America into 11 regions and is working to render the Constitution and Bill of Rights irrelevant.

What's to be thankful about that?

Yeah who gives a damn about

Yeah who gives a damn about sustainability anyway? Jeebus will be back soon riding on a big invisible pink unicorn to whisk all the "good people" off to neverneverland, so I say let's scorch earth! The heathens are all going to burn anyway!

Why would anyone want to sustain Bush's Agenda?

There are things that should be sustained, like happiness, but there are other things that should thrive, like capitalism, wholesome foods, choices, medicines, and peace, and there are some things that should be eliminated, like war.

Sustaining, like terrorism, isn't a good lable for what is life or conflict.

As for religion, it's not for everyone, and something that makes America great. America has a vast diversity and not a theocracy for which I am thankful.

Would you want to sustain a theocracy?

Seems to me the only thing sustainable development is sustaining is destruction. I would hope we as a human race could do better.

I would only support a

I would only support a theocracy if I believed it was necessary to dupe the common man to keep society functioning.

The evidence suggests that most people are capable of rational thought, and so I instead opt for educating them, rendering theology obsolete.

Ironically

I thought the same thing until I discovered the Catechism of the Catholic Church, finding it's the most profound tome I have ever attempted, because it spans history, government, continents, cultures and absolutely gave me an understanding unparrellel to any secular education.

Happy "In Dependence" Day

Wear black armbands and talk to everyone you know or come across today about the real meaning of freedom and individual rights. If we must mourn, at least let's make it productive.

Blessings )o(

It should be renamed to the day of hypocricy.

We supposedly are celebrating the day our Forefathers had the courage to declare independence from the tyranny of King George, yet today we have more government intrusion into our lives and pay a greater percentage of our incomes in taxes than any Colonist ever did. The skewed distribution of wealth coming from government destruction of the free market is greater than it has ever been, more resembling one big slave plantation more than a free society.

We are long overdue for the next revolution, which will come in due course as the pain and suffering from the current system of plunder and control ultimately becomes intolerable and leaves us no other option.

"Bend over and grab your ankles" should be etched in stone at the entrance to every government building and every government office.

Totally agree. It probably

Totally agree. It probably should be a day of praying and fasting and calling on the Lord in repentance for sins and for deliverance from our brutal oppressive government.
