Got Pulled over for No Reason Today

I am visiting family in Danville Illinois, and I am from Texas, so I have out of state plates. I was driving home from Walmart, I had my oil changed there. I was driving back to my uncle's place, doing 33 in a 35 mph zone. Well a cop got behind me and followed me through two turns. I have always had a feeling that police have discriminated against out of state plates. Well I stopped at a gas station, went inside for two minutes, then left the gas station. When I got back on the road, the cop got behind me again. Soon after I was pulled over, with two cop cars behind me, and one cop car in front of me. When the cop approached me, he and the other cops had their hands on their holsters, and treated me like I had a weapon. I was asked for ID and I was not friendly. I told the cop I thought they were messing with me because of where my plates were from. They ended up saying "well you were under the speed limit back there, and your plates are from Texas, and we get a lot of drug traffic through here, we have a lot of crime, and Texas is near Mexico, so you understand all of these things are suspicious right?" they ended up running a k9 around my car. Then they said "well we can't give you a ticket cause you haven't done anything, so have a nice day."

Hmm. America is next to

Hmm. America is next to Mexico.

And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor.

So TX being near Mexico makes

So TX being near Mexico makes you suspicious? LMAO! Now that's some complete BS right there.

Blessings )o(

Yeah I thought that was a riot. I thought "It's a long way from TX here in Illinois. I have to drive through several states to get here and back home. So am I considered a criminal in all of the states in between here and TX? And if I keep driving under the speed limit, can you just keep on treating me like a criminal because of my home state? Is there something wrong with leaving your own state in a car?"

I have secretly been wanting them to get me again so I have a better case for harassment. I know what they were actually doing: They were avoiding REAL WORK, ya know the dangerous kind, where REAL CRIMINALS might be involved. Nah, they'll just stay in the nice part of town and get all the boys in blue after one "out of stater."

You know, if you relocate to

You know, if you relocate to cities and surrender your cars, you won't have to deal with police, except when you go through metal detectors at city and state borders and show your internal passport.

feelin ya !

Out in the boat with the fam today. Sheriff sirened us and pulled us over to "ask if we realized we were in a no wake zone". "yes", I told him I could read and asked if it appeared that I was not complying. "well no, just wanted to make sure you were aware of the law".
Painfully aware of A-holes with authority issues is what I wanted to tell him!
We are all criminals. That is the issue at hand. This the message they are enforcing with every accusation from TSA to routine stops to excessive surveylance..
We are all criminals that need supervision from the those who have more "authority" than us. From preschool on through the process of "socialization"!
We are serfs to be conquered and subjected and controlled.

A patriot must always be prepared to defend his country from his government.

Maybe we should all

go to the police academy and become LEO's.

We could then take over Law Enforcement like we are doing with the GOP.

We could then turn the tables on the establishment. Pull over cars with Romney bumper stickers for no good reason. Search them for drugs and laundered money without cause. Detain them for 72 hours for being hostile when they pitch a fit after we question their motives.

Wait there are no cars with Romney bumper stickers.

Ok then, so maybe just generally be a major PITA to anyone, especially officials, who are not friends of Liberty and the Constitution.

I see a new Movement in the making here.

We will soon take over everything

Because we are the Liberty generation.

I'm glad you are safe. Is it really against

the law to drive UNDER the posted speed limit?

mountaincat's picture

Speed limits are maximum speed

Yes, there are minimum limits but not 2 mph.
This was harassment.

This is exactly what I mean when I say being at the wrong place at the wrong time and a cop is involved can change your life forever

It is no secret that the majority of paper money has cocaine residue on it.
What if the K9 had picketed up on a recent ATM pulse that you had made?
Thus the reason an officer must have a justifiable reason to pull someone over Under the limit a couple of mph is not just cause

No you would eventually be dismissed of charges. But the nightmare of the whole ordeal would never go away

Another reason that check points can be a fanboys place to be

I am an Independent American I am a Libertarian!

I think

your rights were violated. I would have gotten their names and filed a formal harassment complaint.

a nod's as good as a wink to a blind bat

Re: Was this you?

After viewing this video it is quite clear that this young man enjoys his personal Liberty.

That's great.

Now he will learn about personal responsibility.

The moral of this story is:
Without responsibility, there is no Liberty.

In Liberty.

America Rising.
The Constitution Stands.

"That the pen is mightier than the sword would be proven false; if I should take my sword and cut off the hand that holds the pen" - American Nomad

Boy did that make my day or what!:D

No wonder the government is terrified, just a question, how would they respond to the drones in the skies,

It's a profile thing.

You look like the type that don't like cops, they stop people that look like that. I don't think there was probable cause. I would file a complaint and or sue.

You should have had...
