The Nebraska Establishment is Trying to Steal the Election from Ron Paul Delegates

The Governor is ruling Nebraska with an Iron Fist and trying to crush Nebraska delegates who support Dr. Paul. Please help by commenting and let them know we will not stand for a crooked convention

Agree agree agree

Actually, in most instances that I've observed, the GOP hierarchy reveals itself to be lacking in integrity or common decency...or any understanding of the process.

My comment:

"As an alternate delegate to the RNC from Iowa, chair of my county’s GOP central committee, and a long time supporter of Ron Paul, I have been following this year’s nomination process very closely. I have heard about, read about and witnessed many well-documented examples of GOP party officials unfairly discriminating AGAINST Republicans who support Ron Paul. Duly and honestly elected delegates have had there credentials unfairly questioned or revoked, conventions have run late and even been adjourned prematurely due to intentional delaying tactics, well-established rules of order have been blatantly ignored, counterfeit delegate slates have been circulated, and votes have been miscounted or ignored when the results did not please the GOP establishment. ALL of these things(and MUCH more) have been done TO the Ron Paul delegates and never BY the delegates. I could describe examples of disruption and rule-breaking by GOP officials and Mitt Romney supporters in Washington, Oregon, Alaska, Nevada,Louisiana, Maine, Massachusetts, and Georgia. In Iowa where almost HALF of the delegates to the state convention were Ron Paul supporters (and almost as many who opposed us) there was not even a hint of disruption. Rules of Order were followed meticulously even while we debated for HOURS over an amendment to the Rules Committee report (a contest that we eventually LOST). I challenge Chairman McGrain to come up with even ONE legitimate example of Ron Paul supporters or delegates “disrupting” a caucus, convention, or trying to gain an advantage by breaking or even bending the rules. In the meantime he should refrain from passing on slanderous and unfounded rumors aimed only at keeping his buddies in power. Because if he does win (by thumbing his nose at the youngest, most energetic, and most genuinely conservative movement to hit the Republican Party in decades) he won’t have any problem controlling the NEXT state convention; but he WILL be able to hold it in a telephone booth."

All about power and control, karenabcde

I've experienced it myself at my County and State Conventions...

And my dad would say to NOT LOWER myself to their level, but to rise above them, but then he never met a certain Control-Monger Bill C. from Texas.

"Keep Things Respectful" What Good Has That Done?

Like that's done any good. Just look what happened in Missouri, Louisiana, Arizona, etc. Paul supporters and delegates got threatened, beaten the hell out of by police, sometimes arrested. The same thing might happen here in Nebraska.

Before anyone downvotes my comment, just stop and think about what I'm saying here.

The establishment isn't being nice to us, not playing fair. Why should we be nice to them?

One time this guy owed me $1000. I coulen't get him to "pay up"

My friend, (the CRIMINAL) told me to tell the guy that if he didn't meet me at so and so address that day at a certain time, he might never see his windshield again.

I got my $1000 that day.

You Were Lucky

A destructive, illegal act could have finally converted your longtime legal status of Plaintiff to that of Defendant.
Faced with a similar situation many years ago, it was suggested that I "paint" the "culprit's" house with a fire extinguisher filled with paint instead of water....I knew in my heart, that would be a big mistake.
I went to court, and it was some 45 miles away, and obtained a judgement(step #1).
Next I relentlessly pursued the "collection"(Step #2) via non-stop phone calls to his home, and speaking politely, never threatening,to whoever answered, brother, sister, etc. explained the TRUTH, against which there was no feasible argument.
Eventually the "peer-pressure" forced him to return my funds to me.
Doing things honorably brings greater reward.
p.s.
The initial hearing that gave me the judgement, was not attended by the "culprit", probably due to past practice,or shame.
He did have the audacity to file a counter-suit to which he never showed, and since I did...he was further tarnished in the court's eyes.
Dr. Paul would have probably suggested my method...not the violence.
Guess you "lucked-out" Karen...but it could have been real ugly.

I wasn't lucky. I would never have actually done it. All I

did was tell the debtor that I had run the story by a guy was was a former criminal, now a friend of mine, who offered to help. I
quoted him. There's more to the story but it's really not important.

"Why should we be nice to them?"

Because most of us learned when we were two years old that kicking and screaming and holding our breath until we turned blue didn't work?

Because when we act like immature jerks we confirm all of the worst stereotypes that our enemies are trying to smear us with?

Because it is counterproductive?

Because you catch more flies with honey than with vinegar?

Because we HAVE made real, substantive progress by "playing fair" and have still been able to maintain the moral high ground?

Because we don't control the MSM and while almost none of the dirty tricks and rule-breaking by our enemies has been publicized, if we break the rules EVEN ONCE it will make the cover of TIME?

Because even though "acting out" may feel good for a while, it won't convert even ONE person to our way of thinking and will certainly immunize countless numbers against it?

Do I need to go on?

Yes! The HIGH Road.

You might not be always remembered for taking the high road, in fact it seems to be the "road less traveled" these days.

But the one and only time that one "sinks to the level" of the malefactor?
That most assuredly is the road you will be remembered by.

The road to perdition may be paved with good intentions.
It's not a road to be associated with.
Possibly that is why many cultures are "Honor-Driven".

It is time-tested and it's "the right way to go."

Hope to meet you in Tampa @ Sunday's "RP Extravaganza".
That Sunday Event and the Convention are the "higher roads" we must take...anything less is just that...LESS!

1)Why the hell would you want

1)Why the hell would you want to catch flies?
2)Honey draws ants.
3)Sometimes, a recipe calls for vinegar.

Okay, Point Taken

But even you can't ignore the fact that being nice doesn't always work. When we play fair and win, they cheat, cry foul and disqualify our delegates. They did it in Massachusetts and now they're doing it in Oregon. And I thought Oregon was a liberty-friendly state. I guess I was wrong.

I sincerely do feel your pain...

More than once I have fantasized about getting some Neocon opinions about the effectiveness of water-boarding from THEIR first hand experience. ;-)

Sure "being nice doesn't always work", but then neither does anything else.
I get impatient and scared that change is coming to slow, but then my logic kicks in.
I analyze.
I see that if only we had been able to elect a few people to the central committees of Mass. or Oregon (like we did in Iowa) these problem would have never come up. I'm not saying there wouldn't have been been problems, just not THESE kinds of problems.

I know we had an unfair advantage in Iowa. Dr. Paul and the CFL have been targeting Iowa and giving us more TLC than any other state in the union.

But given more time (and the boost in numbers of patriotic GOP by this year's campaign) there isn't anything that we have done in Iowa that couldn't be done in any other state.

We need to realize that THIS election is NOT the end of our battle, and never was, never could have been.

If we can wrap our head around that, and keep from burning our bridges, we WILL win!

GOP RNC = MAFIA

These cheating scum bags just don't get it. WE WILL NEVER GIVE UP. Just because they have the monopolised engine of force (gov) behind them they think they can't do whatever they want. THEY WILL NEVER DEFEAT US. We are winning over hearts and minds by second as they are losing support by the second. As long as free will exists it's only a matter of time before the tyrants of the new age are thrown out. All this corruption is like the housing and student loan bubble. They keep propping it up making it bigger and bigger, pissing more and more people off. Eventually that bubble is going to burst and its going to be very bad for them. If they were smart, they would just leave with whatever they have and stay away.

Tea Party/Paul movement in Nebraska is Laura Ebke

A leader of the Tea Party/Paul movement in Nebraska is Laura Ebke, a blogger and chairwoman of Republican Liberty Caucus, which promotes limited government and individual liberty. She has said her movement is about the heart and soul of the Republican Party, which she said will “sink into oblivion” if it doesn’t bring new people on board.

“It’s just a matter of trying to bring the party back our way a little bit,” she said today.

She said there’s dissatisfaction with the state party and her group would like to have more of a role in the GOP. She said many counties aren’t sending a delegate to the convention, which ought to worry state party officials.

Ebke was called in to a meeting with the governor recently, where Heineman “made it clear to us that he wasn’t very happy” about the group’s support for the candidate for chairman that he had not endorsed, John Orr. She said the governor said they shouldn’t challenge his authority to name a state chairman.

They were not dissuaded, however. Fahleson’s move this week solved that problem for Heineman – delaying that battle until next spring.

Ebke said she hopes the Nebraska state convention doesn’t get tumultuous, and as the “mom” of her group, she’s tried to keep people on an “even keel.” She said her group just wants to get as many Paul delegates as possible, to get his name put into nomination in Tampa in a symbolic victory.

“The last thing I want is to have a real rowdy convention,” she said. “By the same token, youthful enthusiasm could result in… ” she said, trailing off.

“I hope that the party plays fair,” she said. “We’re prepared to lose, as long as we lose fair.”

Aw too f'n bad!

They won't vote for whom they are told? Really? Aw too bad.

I've never seen so much criminality and violence from establishment republicans in years.

This is not doing Romney any good.

He's having some sort of 'super Saturday' campaign office opening in NH.
I was called and asked to work for him. I said, sorry, the primary isn't over yet and HE HASN'T WON ANYTHING..

I will remind them all when they break rule #11 over and over... people are leaving the party in droves.

so let me get this straight...

The Gov of NE has decided to stay in his position when he realized that a Ron Paul person was poised to take his position....
So the Govenor of Nebraska admists that he KNOWs that his people in NE want a Ron Paul person, they want all of things that Ron Paul stands for, so he decided to stay and make sure that his NE people (and the majority of NE people for that matter) don't get civil liberties and freedom, fairness and less gov't. He of course is doing this for the sake of his fellow republicans. Not for the people, clearly, because they want the the Ron Paul supporter person. But by gosh, he must preserve the corrupt republican party because that would just be wrong to turn your back on the republican party. Turning your back on the PEOPLE, well acording to his secret RNC guide book, that's A-OK.

well said!

Ron Paul ... forever.

post all the comments you want - won't matter! The only thing these thugs will understand is the threat of jail time and public humiliation. Unless that threat becomes real, the only thing that will save our movement and this once great country is a violent revolution. I am not advocating such, just expressing my opinion. Fascinating.

Do not let these people out of your sight for one minute. They

The state GOPs as they currently stand:

This will be the worst. Any Paul delegate at all will be

arrested. Broken faces.

Romney needs this so we don't have five states. We need private police.
