CNN Article: Pre-Crime is being used in LA

I read an article in Scientific American about this. At the very basic level, this is simply a program to predict where increased levels of crime can occur so that police can move patrols into that particular area. There shouldnt be anything wrong with that. They are out patroling anyway, so they might as well do it more effectively.
If something like this started saying there would be an increase in crime inside of my living room, I dont think I would accept that.

to tell me where some crimes are "likely to occur".
The only reason why the cops don't already know this is because they aren't even in touch with the neighborhoods they are supposed to be "policing".

It's sad.

It is inevitable that this would happen. It is the natural progression of oppressive societies.
