Why not address the problems in other states?

Such as the convention delegate irregularities in Arizona,Vermont,Indiana,Oklahoma,Alaska,Missouri and Louisiana.

That's funny Maddow He already has 7.Silly AP media et al

IA,LA,ME,CO,VA,MN and NV. NE being the 8th state with a majority of delegates for RP

He was great

but once she gets going I wonder is she is ever going to shut up.

RIP GOP. This is their last election. The lawsuits will never end

Live free or DIE!

Why was he going to vote for Romney?

Was he just going to take the affadavit to court and lie then go to the convention and vote his conscious under Rule 40. Id take that to court. This whole things seems entirely unjust

Election Fraud Party

When ever discussing the GOP I usually include the phrase "Election Fraud Party".

The republican party, it no longer exists. Maybe locally, but about that, it simply is no more.

Maddow is like the RT of cable news

just trying to gain favor by the Ron Paul supporter demographic. She doesn't really care anything about limiting government, increasing personal responsibility.

Charles Baker

I can count this for a plus that mr Baker did not want to go to Tampa after loosing to the young bloke. That is OK. But it is too much to promote him, esspecialy if he is not "one of us".
He might just have calculated that liberty has a future, and not going to Tampa would benefit him in the future with the new generation of GOP. That is OK too. But the movement should promote ideological people of its own in the first place. Not people whos intetnions is less known or could flip-flop on other occasion.

His mother Rules!

I'm sure his dad does too. That guy is awesome!

Hats Off

That kid has it right, and he demonstrated more maturity than the entire Mass GOP.... BRAVO! Seems like only Baker gets that. If the rest of them don't they will die. The smarter youth actually understand that their current tax burden is $1.2 million a piece. And yeah, freedom is everyone's best chance. Until the R establishment realizes this, There will never be an R next to my name again.

BTW, I'm a union employee, and the health care bill just added $8000+ to my premium health care bill. Thanks for stripping my health care Mr. Obama. If you're a union, liberty minded, employee, let your left minded co-workers know they just got a 40% excise tax on their insurance plans. I'm degreed, as many of my co-workers are, so we'll be all right without the union, but those who are not, just got the biggest shafting of their lives.

Keep the presure on! Here is how you can act!!!!!

we need everyone to sign this petition, and if you already have, please email and facebook everyone you know! this is how we show our numbers and get media attention!

That young man

spoke so clearly and logically it blew my mind. What a great way to portray Ron Paul, an 18 year old kids with a head on his shoulders. Impressive to say the least.

Those who expect to reap the blessings of freedom must. like men, undergo the fatigue of supporting it.-Thomas Paine

The R3volution requires action, not observation!!!!

That young man is impressive.

That young man is impressive. I am thrilled to know this is the future of the Republican party - thanks Ron Paul for your speeches to all the colleges, and to the youth for being so receptive!

A 15 minute speech for Ron Paul at the convention?

I think the GOP establishment would rather call in a bomb threat than see that happen.

Look at what Dr. Paul did at the Texas convention. They put him in a breakout session out of prime time and he packs the house with an enthusiastic and moving speech.

If the delegates are allowed to vote their conscience after a 15 minute Ron Paul speech, denying Romney a win on the first ballot becomes a very plausible outcome.

It's a big if though... come on Nebraska!

The same GOP that boo'd the

The same GOP that boo'd the Golden Rule when Ron Paul suggested we apply it to other nations?

Yeah, I'm sure a 15 minute speech will make them suddenly be rational and peace-loving.

yeah we all get your point.

the point, however, that it looks as though you are NOT remembering to mention is this......

people are animals.
animals fight to survive.

trust is a huge thing in survival.
we must all trust in order to survive.
i must trust that the food that you, the chef, put on my table is edible and i will continue to live. if i never trusted the food placed in front of me i would surely die. no?

remove people from their typical environment - allow them to hear words that they normally shun without having even given it a thought - without even KNOWING that they are shunning anything at all - and what do you get?

ah.......you get a possibility that cannot happen otherwise.
this much is a given, as we have already changed the minds of many simply by having been present at the local and state conventions in both 2008 and 2012. this is nothing new, but performing this action within the political arena IS new to many of us - this action takes place in every city and town.....wherever there is more than one human in close proximity - and there you have it.

one should not make the mistake of expecting the same results when the gaps or distances between people are closed.

Right....the GOP has proven

Right....the GOP has proven how sensible they are when it comes to listening to reason. Some of you people have absolutely no clue whatsoever.

Plurality question

So these are the states I beleive he won the plurality in:

I always heard he has to have a plurality in 5 states. Is it in writing somewhere that is has to be a plurality in only undound states?

Ben Swann's take

I just read this from Ben Swann's FB Page:

USA Today, MSNBC and Rachel Maddow show all reporting that Nebraska is a must win for the Paul campaign in order for Congressman Paul to get his name into nomination at the RNC in August.

From USA Today:
"Under Rule 40, Section B in the Republican National Committee's rule book, a presidential candidate must demonstrate the support of a "plurality of the delegates from five or more states" to get his or her name entered for nomination at the convention.

Paul already has a plurality of delegates from Iowa, Maine, Minnesota and Louisiana. Nebraska is the last state that will hold its convention for delegates."

The only problem with this... Congressman Paul already has a plurality of delegates in more than 5 states... in fact, it is my understanding he has the plurality in 6.

Colorado Paul 18, Romney 16, Santorum 2
Iowa Paul 23, Romney 2
Louisiana Paul 27, Romney 19
Maine Paul 21, Romney 3
Minn Paul 32, Romney 8
Nevada Paul 22, Romney 3

if this is wrong, let me know. here is the link to the usa today aricle.

Looks like you're in the ballpark, LIBERTY2ME.

Rights are like muscles; you must exercise them to keep them fit, or they will atrophy and die.

LIBERTY2ME's picture

So do you know of anywhere it

So do you know of anywhere it is written that these pluralities need to be from states that do are not bound to Romney? Some are saying that we can't use LA or NV because the delegates would be bound to Romney on the first ballot. Not sure where this logic comes from.

I don't really care if she mocks the GOP

The GOP has become a very unprofessional organization, much like her party. Both sides pat each other on the back at the end of the day. Rachel could do a better job if she really wanted to and cover Ron Paul without tossing in her teen-ish opinions.

Real eyes realize real lies

We want our country back

Every year is a year for Ron Paul!

Thank You Rachel

Even though Rachel is part of the problem, I do thank her for shedding SOME light on the corruption and unlawful behavior of the GOP all over the America. Even though her segment was not 100% honest, at least she gave us SOME exposure, and for that I thank her. If only she would realize that the message isn't Ron Paul's! It's the message of Liberty!! And Constitutional Government, you know the legally binding founding document our government is SWORN to obey!!!!

BTW, just for some of you who

BTW, just for some of you who believes Rachel is doing a favor for Ron Paul and exposing this. She is doing this to bash Republicans. which they deserve, but her motivations are from the left, not the "right" as in doing the RIGHT thing..

If you disagree with me on anything you are not a real libertarian...

Full clip in one segment:

Also, I'm big fan of that young gentleman. Well done sir!

I like his argument about being a Republican... but I just moved to a new state and I'm going to register Libertarian here since I can still vote in the GOP primaries. :)

Unfortunately, since most

Unfortunately, since most Americans identify with either the Democratic or Republican parties, your reluctance to work to clean-up one of the two major parties is doomed to failure. We have centuries of proof. True, the major parties are extremely corrupt, but working to create factions within them at the very least is much better than hiding in a minority party. The goal should be the elimination of political parties altogether, but reducing their power and influence through factions is a good start.

MSNBC Really??? Playing to our self interest while spewing lies.

Funny Lew on Funny Rachel and the pathetic RNC-

Lew: It is amusing to watch the Republican Party engage in its suicide pact by cranking out any scheme to discourage young people from abandoning the sinking ship. Perhaps the next proposal — from the GOP hierarchy — will be to require all Romney delegates to show up at the convention in brown shirts, and wearing arm-bands

Maybe he's not joking...we'll see.
