While this is technically correct, the Campaign has contacted me and informed me that they are not currently set up to comply with the Federal laws related to this practice. Frankly, I'm floored. And very, very grateful. Our $500,000 online fundraising goal for the end of the quarter was reached so fast it took my breath away. But we can't stop now. So I am raising the bar to $1 million by midnight, September 30th. I am so grateful for all you have done. Would you help me with this?
Whenever I face a hit piece on tv, or a smear in a newspaper column, I remember my secret weapon: you. In establishment politics, people make campaign contributions because they want something: a contract, a subsidy, a special-interest deal. But the thousands of people who contribute to this campaign want no favors from big government -- which must come at the expense of their fellow citizens, and sometimes our soldiers' lives. They want only what is their God-given, natural, and constitutional right: their freedom.
What a difference from the other campaigns. What a refreshing change from politics as usual. What a sign of the reborn American freedom that can be ours, and our children's, and our grandchildren's.
Aggressive wars, income taxes, national IDs, domestic spying, torture regimes, secret prisons, Federal Reserve manipulation -- we don't have to take it any more.

There are two reasons: 1) We need the money. As we move into the Iowa caucuses and the New Hampshire primary, then South Carolina, California, Texas, and all the rest, we need your support. We can't duplicate the spending of the big boys, and we don't have to, thanks to the internet and our magnificent army of volunteers.
But we need constant website improvements, phone banks, voter registration and get out the vote efforts, mailings, travel, printings, many small offices, targeted TV and radio ads, legal and accounting help, and 101 other things. And without donors like you, we can't do a darn thing.
2) I want to make the mainstream media sit up and take notice. They did when we beat John McCain for cash-on-hand in the last quarter. This quarter, we can really shock them -- if you help. Our total can show the sort of enthusiasm, organization, and grassroots support that will chill every big-government backer, and warm the heart of every lover of freedom -- and open the eyes of the media.

but start from 0 and go till next quarter, this wont factor in the campaign money he recieves from dinners,checks and stuff, just online donations. instead of a thermometer maybe have an animated cartoon of dr paul make an excited look on his face everytime someone donates as the money falls from the sky and then says thank you (name here) that would be cool.

If the rate of fund raising for the last 24 hours keeps up at the same pace, Ron Paul's campaign could raise $15,000,000 in the 4th quarter. I sure hope they keep their flash donation thermometer up and set a great goal. Or set a goal as to how many times we can fill it to $1,000,000 in the next quarter! In my opinion, it sure encourages Ron Paul supporters that he can win the election with our time and money!

We need $1,000 a minute or more if we are going to reach $1.2 million. I hope we can do it, but it's looking like we may fall short. I know it's still more than the original goal, but I hope we can get it

We need to get this to $1.2 million. We have $33,000 to go. I really cannot afford to donate anymore. My account is almost zero. I am going to try and get someone else to donate at least $10 in their name.

the story simply states that Paul will raise less money, referring perhaps to the other candidates and not to last quarter. What really ticks me off is that if click on Ron Paul, you are directed to Bill Richardson who (coincidentally) is the only democrat with a chance that also advocates for the END of the Iraq war. BTW this "mistake" by CNN has been onown to them since Friday without a correction.

My boyfriend and I live in Marina del Rey in a community with about 9 buildings of condos and apartments. We ordered a bunch of "slim jims" and plan on leaving them on people's doors while their at work to get the word out. Keep up the fight everyone. Just got back from a fundraiser for Dr. Paul he called us and spoke for about 10 min he is really excited!!! he got us really fired up!!!!!!!

When I read your post about Dr. Paul being excited it just got to me. We are at such an important time for our country and we have this man who is sacrificing so much of himself, and all of these wonderful people who are a part of this who are making such an impassioned effort to take our country back.
