Made In China - U.S. Olympic Opening Ceremony Uniforms

The price of all this made-in-China preppiness — if you for some reason want to buy it — $598 for the women’s blazer and $498 for the silk skirt. The men’s blazer is a staggering $795, flat front trousers $295 and nubuck shoes are $165. And that damn beret? $55.

The timing was perfect to be admiring those berets

It's July 11, the first night of my town's carnival. I can hear the distant shrieks from the ferris wheel and other rides set up at the village green. This celebration will culminate with a big fireworks display on... July 14th of course, in honor of BASTILLE DAY. Where I live, we don't celebrate the 4th of July. No, I'm not writing this in France. I live in New York. Nothing against the French, but I find the look of the Olympic uniforms, the price of the garments, and the fact that the clothing was made in China de-galling. Also my town's lack of patriotism.

I'm surprised

There wasn't an executive order requiring camouflage attire.
