wow, a good cop

that's not something you see everyday.

He's not a good cop, there

He's not a good cop, there aren't any. A cop is an agent of the state with an immoral monopoly on the use violence to control you.

This guy is just a good person who happens to be employed as a cop in our messed up system.

I mean really the system is messed up. It takes a person like this guy, who probably became a cop because he really wants to serve and protect people, and it then steals away their idealism and almost always succeeds into turning them into a common thug.

Maybe it won't work on this guy...

yup, 'shocking' by today's reality.

even more surprising was that it was a DC cop.

well, either he's just a cool dude, or an OathKeeper, or just someone who actually loves treating others like another fellow man.

regardless, it's such a beautiful thing to observe, when we all know that no one has to be at each other's throats.

my secret hope is that the mounted PEACEofficer has already seen the light and what many within his own field of LEO has turned into, and would rather be on the Rightside of history, and simply remind himself of all the basic moral 'codes' that he were already born with.

it still is such a delightful imagery.

Gotta Love the Good Cops!

The Park Police are kind of an anomaly within the Park Service and were actually formed in 1791 by George Washington himself.

I'm glad to see this clip because I feel better it represents the actual attitude of the majority of the USPP than most of the other stuff you see on the DP. Adam Kokesh, for instance dosen't seem to understand the difficulties of running a park that receives over 24 million visitors per year.

This is a transcript was taken from NPS Director Jon Jarvis during the Occupy D.C. demonstrations in January and I think it helps to clarify many of the issues that the NPS faces:

thank you for your professional 'within' insights!

I too also get caught up in this whole thing, but at the end of the day, in my settled zen-ness, I'm always reminded that none of this would change unless those within the system begin to wake up themselves and have that 'ah ha!' moment, too; yup, it's almost an easy copout to broadstroke brush everyone in govt, or in LEO in one light just because what seems like 100's of Rodney King videos get uploaded onto YouTube, daily, that not to recognize that in some sense, the 'enforcers' too are victims of statism, that if anything, they're the ones we should be reaching out to more, as they're the only ones who really stand between the citizenry and the bureaucratic thugs on behalf of whom they have to 'enforce' the 'laws,' for. Until they holistically begin to recognize that most govt actions are unjust, none of this will change.

and true change, only begins at an individual level.

and that we can't be 'free' as long as only a few are 'awake.'

critical mass is beginning. and it's a delightful thing to watch.

You are most welcome!

And believe me, there are a great many of us within the Federal system that actually work hard to provide the taxpayers with what they rightly have paid for: public servants, not public masters. I've met many liberty minded individuals while working for the parks, and have been trying to plant what seeds I can.

That said, unfortunately there are also many within the system that are extremely hostile towards us classical gov't worker types and are just doing the bare minimum to collect a paycheck. They make me sick.
