Want proof Benton/Olson, et al, were never "in it to win it?"

Ask yourself why there is still $3 million in our donation money sitting there.

Ask yourself why we never even issued a challenge for a single debate to Romney after there were just the two candidates.

Ask yourself why we never ran ONE SINGLE really hard-hitting attack ad on this dude and his dozens of serious Constitutional violations, personal evil deeds, etc.

Ask yourself why we will now have only four states in our win column.

Ask yourself why we bailed at PRECISELY THE HIGH WATER MARK (with the wins that were snatched back from us) on May 14th two days after the state conventions in AZ and OK.

Ask yourself why Trygve Olson is still taking YOUR MONEY.

Remember how we all kept

Remember how we all kept saying that he wasn't going after Romney because he wanted to get rid of all the not-romney's first. Then once it was down to the final two he would slaughter Romney.

Well, why didn't that day ever come?

When a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism...then it amounts to PROOF you've been had!

Or if you prefer, "If it walks like a duck, smells like a duck, quacks like a duck...it's a duck."

"Truth is an absolute defense to the charge of paranoia."

As I stated previously...

...all of your questions are circumstantial with possible alternative answers. "Because they were never in it to win it" is one possible answer to each question but there are other very plausible answers as well.

You questions really aren't "proof" in the way most people think of the concept. At the very least, it isn't the kind of proof I want (which your title inquires about).

I have no a priori commitment to your theory being untrue. I'm a reasonable, persuadable person.

Just give us something more substantive. Give us the kind of proof that would persuade, say, a reporter. Right now all you have hater fuel.

I'm not trying for epistemic certainty, but it will take more than rumor, innuendo, and mere coincidence to persuade me.

Ask yourself...

Why does the title of this post mention "proof" when it doesn't provide any?

Proof is often...

...a combination of telling factors that all lead in one direction.

That's what we have here.

"Truth is an absolute defense to the charge of paranoia."

You haven't given proof

Just a bunch of questions (some of them loaded) that can have more than one answer.

Please, be intellectually honest.

you should be intellectually honest as follows:

shut up
go donate NOW
come back and show us the reciept from your donation, since you still believe the campaign is lily white.

Let me guess, you wont!!

Glad to see you're grappling with the substance of my comments.

I wrote the official campaign off long ago.

I wrote the official campaign off long ago. I suggest you do the same, and stop dwelling. Here's how to win with minimal dollars and minimal effort:

"What if the American people learn the truth" - Ron Paul

Should be front page....

Jesse Benton was at Freedom Fest 2012; 7/11-7-14

Yup. Peter Schiff was one of the speakers there and he mentioned seeing and talking to Benton in Vegas during his Friday radio program 7-13-12. This comment comes in the second hour of the show.

So let me understand this. Ron Paul supporters were slugging it out in Nebraska, trying to "officially" win the elusive 5th state by planning and getting up at 6:30 am to prepare for the delegate convention and all that occurred yesterday. All the while, Jesse Benton was looking good and rubbing elbows with Rand Paul, Tom Woods, Judge Nap., G. Edward Griffin, etc. at the Freedom Fest in Las Vegas.

Wake up to this reality, people. I'm not throwing stones, I am just reporting the facts with one possible interpretation, albeit skewed at this point. Indeed, Jesse could have been campaigning for Ron Paul in Vegas. That sentence sounds crazy to even write, but I suppose that it is possible as is the possibility of Benton looking (trolling) for another campaign to manage.

Where were you when we needed you, Jesse Benton?
Answer: In Vegas. Very Poor form, Jesse, IMO.

Ron Paul fails to win enough delegates in Neb. to be nominated

What get's me

Is that people who are on GOP cimmittees/ councils and caucauses, who KNOW what a CREDENTIALED DELEGATE IS, didn't EDUCATE and VET RP delegates, work to have them credentialed. We have that power, and too many RP GOP "insiders" (who claim to be stealth/ I think that's BS becasue it's NOT honest) blame the campaign instead of themselves.

$3 million sounds like a lot. For perspective, the ballpark figure I've heard that the president will probably raise and spend (or pacs will spend, or what have you) will be in the neighborhood of a billion bucks.

I imagine that the rally in Tampa and all the other expenses of the campaign encamping for the convention there is going to cost a significant portion of that three million green.

I personally heard Ron Paul say he'd like to debate Romney. He was a guest on a television show (MSNBC?)

There have been hard-hitting ads produced by Ron Paul-supporting pacs and/or private supporters. The fact that few if any made it to prime time comes down to money again. Although, it is also true that the campaign (or pacs) seem more comfortable sharing Ron Paul's prescriptions with the issues rather than attacking opponents. Here is an attack ad, 'three of a kind': http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jSVi45vfA6o&list=PL92E3A78C90...

I continue to question how many states Ron Paul has a plurality of delegates in. I believe he has a minimum of five and in reality almost double that.

Your last point is a good question, although it assumes bailing when we do not know for sure that that is what occurred. Whatever it was, it was a bad decision tactically and shouldn't have happened.

I believe Ron Paul still has a chance to win, largely due to Mitt Romney's emerging vulnerabilities. The key is informing the voting public.

It's pretty pathetic that

It's pretty pathetic that someone would spend a billion dollars over a job that's essentially meaningless.

are you nuts?

the benefits to the pres and his family are pretty huge, not to mention the speaking and book writing money for decades after.
and guess what, the more controversy and issues, the more money to be made.

oh! Im sorry, you meant meaningless to what happens in this country.

Thank You for speaking the truth.....

I would like to share my April e-mail to the campaign with you. Santorum had dropped out and the "In It To Win It" lie had been presented. I was watching an interview with Dr. Paul on Kudlow or Cavuto and anxiously awaited critical comments of Romney, but they never came. Instead, Dr. Paul refered to Romney as "My establishment opponent." He wouldn't even say his name out loud!

I was furious! I then opened my inbox to find an e-mail from Dr. Paul asking me for more money. I responded with this e-mail:

How dare you ask me for more money! You continue to lure donations from decent Americans in a recession while refusing to confront Mitt Romney! Your lies like "In It To Win It" will be your legacy, not honesty and integrity of which you have none. "My establishment opponent?" Pathetic! Even Michael Scheur had the spine to use Romney's name out loud at the Philly Phreedom Rally I attended. While our delegates are being physically assualted at state GOP conventions, you refuse to do your part in the battle against tyranny! I'm appauled by your lack of ethics and deceptive behavior!

You are not alone, many of us have been suspicious since Super Tuesday when they helped Romney walk away with all those delegates.

I won't go that far with you...

...at least not yet, but the Rosicrucian rumors are getting louder...

"Truth is an absolute defense to the charge of paranoia."

Why wait? That's exactly what RP and the campaign want

and they will use our delegates as a weapon to keep us quiet until after the convention. The same delegates RP and the campaign 'left at the altar' on countless occassions!

Ron Paul is responsible for all of this deceit. The 'intentional mistakes' and the lies like "serious presidential bid" which later turned into "in it to win it."

It was an anti-Santorum/Gingrich operation all along.....there were other motives as well which I won't get into now.

If you have criticism of Dr. Paul I would like to hear it. Perhaps some healthy and well deserving criticism for Dr. Paul might strenthen his resolve and dedication to our delegates and movement before the convention? I think so.

That's partly his style

He also refers to Obama as "our current President"

I feel this post will just...

...cause divisiveness and will accomplish nothing but arguments.

Not sure why I am replying to

Not sure why I am replying to such am embarrassment like you Steve, but here goes:

1. Because spending that money would not have been efficient.
2. Because anyone with a working brain (you do not fall into this category) knew there was NOT going to be a debate, and asking for one would have hurt Ron Paul, not helped him.
3. Because Ron Paul lives in the REAL world.
4. Because 4 states is a lot better than the zero states and just 10.8% that he got in the popular vote.
5. Because Ron Paul didn't want worthless people like you embarrassing him. That is why HE issued those statements.
6. Because he isn't taking anything.

The last comment that you made was deleted.

The first part of your post has something to say that is minimally constructive, so it will remain. Think next time (1 day member) before posting something so offensive.

huntert.. Serial troll

Don't worry, he's just trollin' the scene.

Martin nailed it!

RON PAUL is the GOLD STANDARD of politics, his value never changes; it's tied to the CONSTITUTION!

You could add Rand to your

You could add Rand to your list. He never lifted a finger to campaign for his father at the crucial state conventions this year despite the fact that many were on weekends when the Senate was not in session.

Yea...like I'm going to give you two phonies any more...

...information you could use to get me replaced with. Too funny...I'm still young, but I wasn't born yesterday!

"Truth is an absolute defense to the charge of paranoia."

You are joking right?

I strongly disagree with you on just about everything, but you are better than any Romney robot. I would campaign for you.

Besides ...

Everyone knows who you are in your neck of the woods.

You do a radio show for crying out loud.

We are not enemies.

We are allies that disagree.

Shutup with the bullcrap

The Ron Paul campaign, NOT "Lawyers for Ron Paul," have already begun making complaints against this nonsense. The Ron Paul campaign n owes you NOTHING in regards to their political strategy to which you are ignorant. Would you like them to show all the cards they are holding now, simply so you can brag to your friends on the internet? If they did give you the details, the the Romney folks would have the RNC identify and toss out ANY delegate that seemed a possible Paul supporter.

Secondly, these guys still must operate until the convention at minimum, which is why they still have funds. Santorum bankrupted, as did Gingrich and even Johnson.

So the question is, what is the OP doing to further the Liberty movement besides spouting verbal animal feces across the net? Is the OP a delegate? Probably not. I don't hear them complaining because they are busy working. Is the OP a Precinct committeeman or woman in running or serving? State committeeman or chairman?

It's easy to pick on Benton or Tate. The fact remains that we don't know except what we are told. Wead had a chat a couple of weeks ago and I believe he has another scheduled for this evening. Did you take time to listen and be informed? Tate has actually taken the time to become a delegate, which to me gives him a LOT of credibility.

Oh really. Do you KNOW whether the original poster...

contributed to the campaign, particularly the "In it to win it" moneybomb? As I have said before, I wish I had contributed, because I wouldn't hesitate to sue the Ron Paul 2012 campaign for fraud had I been dumb enough to help pay Benton's and Olson's salary.

That would have been

That would have been HILARIOUS! Because a judge would have thrown out your lawsuit on day one, and likely forced you to pay their legal fees. And if you actually found a lawyer dumb enough to take your case, he would have been publicly reprimanded by the judge for bringing such an idiotic and ignorant case before the courts.
