Need a free cell phone? Or two, or four, or six? The Feds have got you covered!

Hmmm...looks like this federal plan is working!

Government programs

You know what they say 'there is no such thing as a temporary government program' and that is true. When Ronald Regan first came into the presidential office in 1980, he was going to end the Dept. of Education. It was then about 5 years old. It has since grown to monstrous proportions and helped educate not at all. If anything, it has aided in the dumbing down of America. I don't think this program will be any different, except in scale.
As long as we keep electing tweedle dee vs tweedle dum, this is what we will continue to get. And maybe what we deserve.

Bush-Obama Phone

I know people that call these phones Obama phones but Bush started the program. Then Obama increased the budget on them.
So it should be called the Bush-Obama phone.

On election day

I wonder if all those phones will ring with a recorded message telling anyone who answers who to vote for to keep their "free" phone? LOL

I want a free cellphone

I want one! Can you believe I saw a republineocon on TV talking about how we have to cut this program because its a waste. I think the "free" cellphone program only costs 2-3 billion a year, I do believe its excessive and could be done cheaper. But this compared to what we spend on needless military and wars? This is nothing. My dad has a free cellphone and he has heart problems. So he keeps it incase he has to call the hospital. But he also makes personal calls, but hardly ever. He uses the house phone.

Do I think this should be cut to spend more on military? The empire? Israel? Foreign Aid? Hell no. Cut that stuff first. But I know how the neocons think. This free cellphone program that costs 2-3 billion a year is breaking the bank, it couldn't possibly be the 100 billion a year we spend on useless military and the empire.

Dude, the phones are not

Dude, the phones are not FREE, the Gov. is stealing money from people so the lazy can have "free" cell phones!!!

Your dad should be your problem, not ours, don't you have $10 a month to add a second line to your existing cell phone plan? And if you don't have money for a cell phone but want one, get you azz out and clean someone's yard for few hours and go to Walmart and get you a cell phone.

I know they

Are not really free. Also my dad paid his taxes. Even taxes on his social security which he gets now. So he is paying for his cellphone actually. Stop being such a dumb f**king asshole ok? It will help you out alot.

Marxists

What do Liberals say when they see something like this? Is it really that hard to understand that big government is bad?

The answer is of course... their plan is working perfectly. Make the people stupid and dependent in order to make ruling over them easy.

A failed federal program?

NO WAY I DONT BELIEVE IT IMPOSSIBLE

What part of Article 1, Section 8 (the Enumerated Powers)...

authorizes the federal government to redistribute wealth for phones and service?

Any idea how much gold is in

Any idea how much gold is in the circuitry of those cell phones? I'm thinking 30-40 phones would yield a decent amount of "diversified re-distributed wealth".

I guess they targeted me because I'm not on a plan and pay by the month with cards. Unreal. I guess the banksters plan to give back all the wealth they stole via tools to be on their grid: spy phones, food stamps, subsidized stack and pack housing, etc.
