Paulfestival seeks an ER medical doctor to head up the Medic team at Paulfestival in Tampa.
Technically reporting to the Security Director, Medical assumes absolute authority over care and handling of the sick and injured when need arises.
Responsibilites include developing response protocols, patient transport routes, scheduling and coordination with security director. The Medical Director will work with the security director to develop a training program that fits into the overall training process for volunteers with a focus on other trainer-level volunteers being active and complete newbs walking away with as much training as we can cram into them in a day. 24 hour Medical presence will be required for this event, and Medical Director will ideally establish ongoing training throughout the event to train our youth for future purposes.
Resources: We get a First Aid Station, it has 2 examination tables, a hand sink, electric, AC and a small desk. The Medical Director will have direct access to venue personnel for any services they can provide including coordination of patient transport, and this will be nailed down in planning/training. You also have some very well trained/qualified people for a staff.
It would be lovely to find somebody with...oh heck everything from O2 to bandaids to set up shop with. For an event like this, the treatment spectrum can truly run the gamut.
