What did Dr Paul say?
Submitted by melzets on Fri, 01/11/2008 - 00:51
Right after Mitt's press release crap, Dr Paul said something like take your time buddy or thats fine buddy. Any one able it make it out? At about 6:30 on this video:

Actually, it sounded like...
I only heard it live, but it sounded like "making fun of me again". I wish that he would have demanded a rebuttal from that trust fund ass. If he knew as much about foreign policy as he knows about hair gel, I might be able to listen to him. As it is, he makes me want to vomit.

watching this video I come
watching this video I come to this conclusion.. If Ron Paul is unelectible and is not a force in this Presidential race? then why do they attack him. why does the panel ask such rediculous questions? questions that they ask no one else.. Somebody is Scared of Ron Paul!
“A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself: but the simple pass on, and are punished.” (Prov. 22:3; 27:12 KJV)
Hey McCain-----┌П┐(◣_◢)┌П┐
Arthur Schopenhauer said it best....
All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed; second, it is violently opposed; and third, it is accepted as self-evident.
Its a little off topic
But if you are curious as to the mechanism that allows or foreign interventionism to become domestic interventionism, here is a specific example from WW2...war leads to taxes leads to Socialism

Yep, he said "make fun, buddy"
Which is freaking AWESOME. I tell you, friends, the gloves are OFF and he is not pulling punches.
He called Romney out on his hypocrisy
At the previous debate, they ganged up on Romney and made a bunch of personal attacks. Ron was pointing out to Romney that he was doing exactly what Mitt was upset about. Did you notice that they took turns attacking Ron during the foreign policy section? It's like they are trying to make points with the audience by picking on the outsider. It just belittles them. What Ron should do is demand his rebuttal time every time they try this. He'd end up having half the talking time. In the last debate, Ron asked why Canada hasn't been attacked. Rudy responded that England was attacked, basically making Ron's point. I wish Ron would have demanded 30 seconds to rebut that and point it out to the average viewer.
Same thing tonight, he should have responded to the Ahmadinejad comment from Romney. Who is Romney to comment on Ron Paul's foreign policy views? I know a lot of countries come to the Olympics, but that's not what I'd call foreign policy experience.
Thanks for the clip
I like the way RP nods to the booing audience.
"Victory for liberty! That is our goal, and nothing less. -- Ron Paul, December 17, 2007"
Ron Paul is my President.
Listen closer
He's not nodding to the boos.
Within those boos are cheers, that's what he's acknowledging.
He is nodding to the boos
because the Boos are for Romneys ridiculous joke.
Exactly, Ron looks out knowingly, he knows he has an Army.
Ron is very subtle, I think he was nodding and telling us its right to boo this guy. I think he was showing solidarity with the audience. This works for the cheers as well. Ron is low key but he is very aware of who we are and where we stand.
"Victory for liberty! That is our goal, and nothing less. -- Ron Paul, December 17, 2007"
Ron Paul is my President.
"Make fun, buddy." (?)
While watching live, I thought RP said something like "thank you for the time" with the idea being he should get some rebuttal time (which he didn't). But now that I can replay it a few times, it does look and sound like "make fun, buddy". I think Dr. Paul was pissed that Romney would be so flippant over something so serious as this.

he says...
"make fun buddy"
Yeah, that's what I was
Yeah, that's what I was thinking he said exactly too. I love the fire in Dr. Paul!
That's a man I'll jump in front of a bullet for!

He says
"make fun of me"
It's always going to be hard for Ron Paul to argue his correct position of foreign policy, because the American people will never accept the fact that many times they are the villian.
It will always be easy for an opponent of Paul to wrap themselves in the flag.
The audience will always respond with boos/cheers, just like in the WWF or American Gladiator.
That's why I propose that he go on the offense when asked these types of questions.
He needs to say,
"China does not have a terrorist threat. They also do not have military bases in the Middle East. It is clear that our involvement in the Middle East is making us less safe."
He MUST say, "I BELIEVE IN THE SAFETY OF AMERICANS AND IN A STRONG AND VIGOROUS DEFENSE OF THE UNITED STATES."
Loud and clear, because the jingoists and flag wavers will win unless he doesn't.
He's losing big time on this issue due to the natural PRIMATE reaction of people.
The American people are not the villian...
it is the corporate-military-industrial complex, security industries, and the administration and legislature, and the people who control them from behind the scenes and orchestrate these wars who are the villains! Remember what Smedley Butler said..."War is a racket." The neo-con thugs who wrote up their plans to dominate the middle east in September of 2000, calling their report "Rebuilding Americas Defenses." Most of you probably already know about this, but here is a sampling from an article about it which can be found here:
http://www.antiwar.com/orig/stockbauer1.html
"Large Wars. Second, the United States must retain sufficient forces able to rapidly deploy and win multiple simultaneous large-scale wars and also to be able to respond to unanticipated contingencies in regions where it does not maintain forward-based forces."
'Determined to have their world empire, they offered an eerie prophecy on page 52 of that document about how it might be accomplished:
"Further, the process of transformation, even if it brings revolutionary change, is likely to be a long one, absent some catastrophic and catalyzing event – like a new Pearl Harbor." Their dream of a catalyzing event could not have been better actualized than in the events of 9/11.'
I cannot understand why, although 70% are supposedly against the war, they still vote for the war mongering candidates. It's really beyond me.
That's what I heard as well
New radio ad today here in CA...
...says just that on the defense. The ad ran this morning on KFI AM 640 as I was doing my usual 65 mile commute in the bouncing blue billboard called my truck, complete with Paul signs. Pretty good ad for radio to appeal to the defense crowd, but he needs to mention strong national intelligence to prevent causing quagmires.
"Welcome to 2008: The Year of Ron Paul!"
That's the truth
Our fellow citizens are easily rallied by flag-wavers even if the mission is counter to our (American) principles.
Yep, you can't change
Yep, you can't change primate behavior, so you have to counter it.
Dr Paul is making great points about foreign policy, but then he leaves his flank unguarded against the obvious counter-strategy of flag waving.
If he says loud and clear, again, "I believe in the safety of Americans and in the vigorous and strong defense of the United States", he protected against this counter-strategy.
People have selective memories. Fox knows this. That's why they ask him (mis)leading "questions".
Ron needs to do the same thing. First say, "I believe in the safety of Americans and in the vigorous and strong defense of the United States", then make your point.
The dummies will remember the first part, and the higher IQ types will remember the rest.
There is also 2 audiences. Morons and the intelligent. You need to speak to both.
This is the "code" Ron needs to speak in.
Loved his let me get this straight comment
He should ask the other candidates openly if they reject the notion of blowback. Get them to go on the record and say that.
Thanks, man
Thanks, man
