Judge Andrew Napolitano Praises Gary Johnson

The following is from a transcript of of an audio recording of Judge Andrew Naplitano's presentation at Freedom Fest in Las Vegas on Thursday (12 July 2012) afternoon. His presentation was entitled “A Government of Waste and Lawlessness.” Here are the comments he made regarding Libertarian Presidential nominee Gary Johnson:

34:30: “I’m going to really go off script for a minute. . . .

There’s really no script; there’s just a note telling me I’m talking too long.

(Laughter.)

There is a person in this room, who I must invite to the attention of everyone, because he has the courage to stand in front of the establishment and say, “Enough is enough!”

Whether he wins or loses in his latest quest to set you free, he is a figure of historical significance and profound contemporary interest. He was once called, “Governor No!” when he said to the legislature of his state, “You are not going to interfere with commercial transactions that are voluntarily entered into.”

Maybe . . . who knows . . . after this campaign, or the next one, he might be in 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. Former New Mexico Governor, whose sandal straps I am unworthy to fasten, who will speak here tomorrow (sic) at 10:30, Governor Gary Johnson.

(Gary stands, applause.)

That’s what we should be doing. Challenging the establishment, reminding them that there is a Constitution and a Declaration of Independence that put restrictions on the government.”

(Governor Johnson is speaking tomorrow — Saturday July 14th 2012, at 10:30 am — two days after Judge Napolitano’s remarks above.)

This is great news. Now former Governor Jesse Ventura and Judge Andrew Napolitano have commented favorable on Gary Johnson's campaign for President. The website is www.garyjohnson2012.com There is a moneybomb going on through Monday, 16 July to raise funds to buy advertising to help get Gary up to 15% in the national polls so he will be able to take part in the Presidential candidate debates. Your kind support will be much appreciated. Live free.

They're direct questions. Easy to answer for a libertarian.

Did I say they weren't direct?

No, I simply implied they convey your ignorance. Your new comment doesn't seem to help your situation.

No they directly put yours under a microscope.

You can put mine under a microscope all you want..

At least I don't have to paraphrase, mislead, and outright lie to try and make my candidate of choice sound better than what he is.

And I don't have to ignore a bunch of neo-con social conservative warts on my candidate either.

You don't HAVE to ignore anything..

you just choose to. And unfortunately what you choose to ignore is truth. Your loss.

De criminalize Liberty!

Yes, I choose to ignore Ron

Yes, I choose to ignore Ron Paul's baggage because he is still the lesser of the evils if Johnson isn't running. And even then, I would vote for him over Johnson because it would be his last run, whereas this is Johnson's first.

FX883 is exactly right, i

FX883 is exactly right, i refer everyone to Bill3's recent post http://www.dailypaul.com/242392/the-probable-path-to-amnesty... An amnesty would be a sledgehammer to the Liberty movement in 14 and 16.....

*Wisconsin Constitution* Article I, Section 25 "The people have the right to keep and bear arms for security, defense, hunting, recreation or any other law-abiding purpose"

Amnesty is irrelevant

1. Many Mexicans in the U.S. illegally for work are going back to Mexico because of limited opportunities for even menial labor in the U.S. the past few years.

2. They're also leaving because they see even more corruption here than in Mexico

3. Those who stay are digging Ron Paul in mucho grande numbers.

4. Free Market economics argues for porous borders. If cheap labor is coming in then fight to repeal federal minimum wage laws rather than plot the physical exportation of millions of people just trying to better their lives.

Don't feed the pandas. Ever.

Gary Johnson: Abolish the FED

This is from a report posted by Joe Buchman at Freedom Fest in Las Vegas. He covered Jim Gray and Gary Johnson's presentation which was followed by a question and answer session. Gary Johnson was asked "What’s your policy on the FED?"

Gary's answer: "I would abolish it. I would also work for sound currency."

Does Gary Johnson have a VP

Does Gary Johnson have a VP yet? Because if Ron is shafted out of the nomination by a party that in my opinion he clearly does not belong in or to…why not do all that he can to let the GOP know that they have made an enemy out of a man who could have helped them a great deal. He could become the VP for Johnson. This would help to insure that both Johnson and Paul are allowed to participate in the debates. I certainly do not expect them to win, but at this point I am ready to adopt a scorched earth policy that says that Willard Romney must be destroyed. And that is the ONLY way that I would donate to any more of the money-bombs. What do you think? Just one more thing…for now anyway, I think that Ron Paul should accept his retirement pension from congress. God knows that he most likely deserves it more than any of the others do. And if he doesn't need it he could do something else with it. They have treated him badly, they have gone out of their way to destroy the best and most likely the only real republican in congress. He can do this and severely make them pay for their actions.

The only thing necessary for evil to triumph is for good men and women to not support Ron Paul!

Jim Gray is VP Ron Paul

Jim Gray is VP

Ron Paul wouldn't accepted a VP slot under Johnson, he's way too proud and didn't at all like competition from Johnson.

When Ron Paul is not on the

When Ron Paul is not on the ballot this Novermber, I will be voting for Gary Johnson who has very similar views. The point is to reduce the size of government and he is on board with that. That is good enough for my vote. Would I prefer Ron Paul, yes, but I won't throw away my beliefs and pick the lesser of 2 evils. If the only way my voice will be heard is by voting Johnson, I will definitely be casting my vote to him. This country needs to get away from the 2 party system and the only way for that to be accomplished is to get enough support behind a 3rd party. I hope other liberty minded voters will agree and follow my sentiment.

If it was easy, everyone would do it.....

gary is no spoiler. If the gop does not nominate ron paul. Then in many states write ins are not counted. In those states you might as well not vote unless your voting for someone on the ballot.

bottom line, even if ron paul is not nominated in the gop. A Paul/Johnson or Johnson/Paul ticket is very possible and viable. I will vote for Gary Johnson over Obamney, Paul/Johnson 2012

Mark on your calendar the date Oct. 3rd.

That is when the first televised presidential debate will take place and many folks like myself will stand on our heads so that Gary Johnson is in it.

After that -- restoring of the Republic will go viral!

Spoiler?

In a race where Ron Paul is a write-in, wouldn't Ron Paul be just as much of a spoiler as Gary? Don't get me wrong; I like them both.

No, not taking votes away from Paul.

Just causing a whole lot of discord and division. It's become like a war zone here lately.

“It is the food which you furnish to your mind that determines the whole character of your life.”

Johnson is pointless

If the goal is electoral/political victory within our crap system run by and voted into place by imbeciles and criminals, Johnson lacks the charisma and deep philosophy to get anywhere and to take the movement anywhere.

He might be a great thing in strictly practical, mechanical terms, but he's a complete zero when it comes to his being able to inspire anyone.

If we're talking setting things on fire and bringing ever more people on board, Johnson is a waste of time.

you fear romney getting challenged by a good libertarian.

bottom line is that you don't want estab-obamaney challenged. more than johnson, paul has no chance. johnson could use a much better staff, but paul's staff is the worst it can possibly be - it is cronyism at its worst.

you fear people not merging in with mainstream and being under obamaney's wing like you are, along with the pauls.

a write-in for paul is an anti-liberty vote, clearly. and those who write in paul are serial hypocrites (newt). a vote for paul is the same as a vote for romney - they are of the same party.
