If you would follow IP law to the letter, the normal user commits 83 acts of infringement per day. That is a liability of $12.45 million and possible criminal charges. That would be $4.5 billion per year.

Constitutionalism

Thanks. Unfortunately, IP is authorized by the Constitution. This is the problem with basing your freedom philosophy on that statist document.

which I thoroughly enjoyed watching again. I think Mr. Kinsella makes a great case for abolishing IP laws from a libertarian perspective.

(don't miss the answers at the end where he deals with some of the common arguments from the pro-IP side.
