RSK I've been discussing this idea for the last month or so on the various Ron Paul forums and blogs. Earlier today, I e-mailed Devvy Kidd ( who has exposure and influence as a writer on numerous websites ) with my proposal. One can download a basic Commercial Affidavit of Truth off the internet. This endeavor will require several ardent Dr. Paul supporters (and I believe there are many) at every precinct in each state during their primary. Similar to exit polling, upon exiting their respective polling facility, with gentle diplomacy ask the voter for their signature, which candidate they selected for President, and the city, county or township in which they reside. When the polls close, the next business day get the Affidavit sworn/witnessed by a notary public. And then promptly go to that particular precincts city, county or townships recorders office and have the document recorded. It shouldn't cost more than $10 or $15 at the most. After 30 days ( the magic commercial law number), and it is not rebutted (it never is or at least rarely if ever), you now have in your hand a legally/lawfully binding contract which will stand up in any court (Federal or otherwise) in the United states of America. This must be done, What other options are there, and I mean viable? Election Fraud has been happening and will continue to happen ( recent example Iowa and N.H.----Hillary? Ron Paul? and a few others I hear ). We can do this guys and gals, I'm telling you it is a viable approach and potentially very effective rebuttal if needed. I've been utilizing Commercial Affidavits for years and is one of the most powerful tools I know of. I have consistently prevailed when their use was required. I would expect an 85-95% compliance rate with a gentle and diplomatic approach and perhaps even 100% compliance in many precincts. It only takes a couple seconds of their time and most are feeling some patriotism. One's approach might be something like, "I volunteer for a National Organization involved with fair and honest elections and the prevention of voter fraud, could you please give me/us just a few brief seconds of your valuable time? Or something to that effect---whatever seems to work. In closing: The opposite of Freedom is Slavery; If I am 99% free, than I am part slave, which is like being "a little bit pregnant". Freedom vs. Slavery is a zero-sum game.

You are a very valuable new member and I want to thank you personally for your FANTASTIC suggestion of a voter affidavit! Actually, this idea is an EXCELLENT one and there are currently VOTER AFFIRMATION AFFIDAVITS specifically made for the Iowa Caucus and New Hampshire Primary on the www.watchthevote2008.com website. These were generously written and donated by a very well known Harvard Law graduate who hold 3 Doctorate Degrees and has successfully argued 3 cases with the Supreme Court. I didn't mention his name here because I don't know if he would care for the public recognition. We need to get these links on this website and the official Ron Paul 2008 website so that they are more easily accessible. But for now, all Precinct Captains could go to that website, and also another one which should have them as well, www.LibertyBroadcastNetwork.org.
If you wish, I can put you in touch with Jim Condit, Jr. of Watch The Vote 2008 (he also is running a specific Meetup for just this purpose) and Walter Reddy of Liberty Broadcast Network to see if your services can be utilized and perhaps you could have links on this website also to make them more accessible to ALL RP supporters!
These affidavits are specific to the State in which people will vote in, and I believe there will be more links to the rest of the 50 states as their Primaries come up. If we ALL print them up in our respective States and hand them out to EVERYONE we know and at ALL the Meetup Groups, etc. and polling places. This will completely throw a wrench in the plans of the Black Box Election FRAUD supporters, they will NOT KNOW how many affidavits have been downloaded, handed out and sent to the PO Box in their respective regions (information also at the website). They will not know how many affidavits are out there, how many have been sent in and they will not know how to RIG THE VOTE COUNT, what numbers to use! This should be done by EVERY SINGLE AMERICAN VOTER, no matter WHO they vote for, but it has been specifically tailored to help Ron Paul in this case.
As long as these can be used in a court of law when we demand a recount after the general election in November in addition to the Primaries and Caucuses, I think that will be REALLY significant! Sorry for the long post!

Your proposal is a good one, bult I spent two hours tonight on a conference call with over 200 Ron Paul supporters, organized by several Meetup folks. Bob Schulz, who has filed a lawsuit in every state against electronic voting, and Jim Condit, who has spoken out a lot against electronic voting, were on the call.

The upshot is that we need vote watchers in EVERY PRECINCT in the country, not outside with affidavits but INSIDE watching the vote. Jim made suggestions about steps to take.

I have a light workday tomorrow (which is why I'm up so late) and will look into the voting laws to make sure it's kosher. Even if every precinct cannot be monitored or monitored 100% of the time voting hours are open, we would still have an idea of the minimum number of votes received.

And yes that is an excellent idea. This needs to be seized upon almost immediately in some shape or form. Let's get our brains to working folks!!!

This is exactly something that I have brought up before. Why can't the precinct leader stand at the door and "check in" RP voters as they come in (maybe using the affidavits) and make sure every RP vote is accounted for BEFOREHAND, so that we can compare the numbers to the official count.
