? Impossible ?

We know that with God, nothing is impossible.....absolutely nothing!
Many times in the past have the children of God come to their very wits end, and lost but all hope.
That was God's purpose to show their utter helplessness, and their great need for His hand that alone could bring them to peace, safety and deliverence.
May that be so with what is happening to us these days.

Lord God, we pray in Jesus' name, hear our cry.
We have seen first hand the works of the wicked. They have done everything ungodly in this entire election process. That which You hate, they have proudly done and have mocked You and Your commandments.

They say "What can God do to us"? " Who can bring us down"?

Now that we have seen their dark and wicked works, Lord God Almighty, show us Thy works.
We pray, show all the world Thy works of infinite greatness and power.
Let man know that Thou art the One who rules all, both in heaven and earth.
Bring the wicked down to their rightful place, and by Thy hand lift us up and keep us humbled we pray, for all greatness, and glory, and power, and majesty are Thine, and Thine alone.

Gracious and merciful Father, we give Thee thanks for hearing our cry. Amen

I keep thinking the same thing--

I've made it clear that Ron Paul is one of the very few people in the world whom I haven't met personally whom I actually respect--I don't respect very many humans--

but I would be lying if I said I don't 'hate' Romney and despise Obama--

truly . . .--

and I keep wondering if God will show His Hand and how--

I am not asking for anything bad to happen to MR, but . . . he can be stopped without personal injury, can't he? Or can he?

But I don't ask for that; I don't think that is God's Will either--

He is the judge, not I--

but I couldn't pretend to be disappointed if, in spite of all his money, he got stranded somewhere with a bizarre disease that debilitated him temporarily (without removing him from life, of course)--

there would be no groan of regret from these lips--

it's hard to be awake; it's easier to dream--

Coincidence?

Thanks for posting this, holbrook. It's strange but, I've been praying a lot more lately for God's intercession and blessings upon Dr. Paul and his supporters for the sake of our country, and everyone living in the world today.

How wonderful it would be if a bunch of us would take a few minutes every day, from now til election time, to connect with God in prayer for His mercy and divine intercession. With faith, all things are possible.

You are so correct Nonna

Without God's help, we are sunk, and I shudder to think what would come next.
With His help, nothing can defeat us. NOTHING!
For who is greater than the Lord? Who can do battle with Him?
We need to pray and pray from deep down in our hearts.
God is the Lord! God can do all things! God listens to our prayers.
He will give us the victory, and then we can pray with thanksgiving for His victory to us!
It's not just America that needs God, it's the entire world!
Pray everyone!

"God" doesn't have a good Track-Record

Tyranny Reigns, and it has done so for Centuries and Centuries.

America, and the rest of the World too, was taken over by The Rothschilds Empire long ago. We're all only just pawns in their game.

So if God hasn't "saved us" for Centuries and Centuries, why on earth should you suddenly then expect him to now?

Just look around you: Good people are slaughtered everyday, truth-tellers suffer (Bradley Manning) and sit in a torture cell waiting to be put to death, and Evil Banksters and War Criminals, like Dick Cheney, live like Kings in a state of unimaginable, untouchable privilege and luxury.

So if you think that there is any fairness or justice in this World, then you just don't have your eyes open. Clearly, "God" is not on our side, and isn't answering any prayers here, and the human carnage and enslavement of mankind just goes on and on and on and on .... (for 1000s of years) either with him or without him.

The "God" concept is just an antiquated false hope (and marketing campaign) that has never worked, and has never saved anyone. He couldn't even save Jesus or Ghandi or Martin L. King. And if he can't save them, then how can he save you? This is a poor track-record.

The real path to spirituality is not through manufactured and false "Gods".

The real path to spirituality is to harmonize one self with nature itself, just like the American Indians did. No Churches, No Bells, No Miracles, No Funny Hats, No Magic, No Virgins, No Myths, No Social Repression, No Crusades, No Lies.

For all we really have is the Sun, Water, Earth, Wind, Fire, Sky, magnetic and electrical energy, and the molecular substance of Life itself that is within all of us.

Be kind to Animals.
Be kind to Nature, and Respect it.
Be one with the Life force.

Now, here's a message from the Great George Carlin:
Watch: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gPOfurmrjxo

It's never been part of God's plan (my belief system; you don't

have to concur) to protect or prolong the lives of all the good people and destroy or shorten the lives of all the bad; if God were to do that, He'd be a dictator . . . a true tyrant--

and there would be no real test for humans/mortals.

It's best this way, even if we don't like it--

because those of us who believe in God do believe in an afterlife, and we do believe that Jesus will welcome us there, and when we arrive we will see all the good people who gave their lives--

and the bad people? They will be so ashamed they won't be able to show their faces--

it's hard to be awake; it's easier to dream--

We were given free will...

why should God interfere with our own self-destruction? He gave us the choice and humans have squandered it. That is why we must continue to fight to restore peace.

Because

He tells us to repent and He will forgive!
How simple it is!
How merciful He is!

" In Thee O Lord do I put my trust " ~ Psalm 31:1~

How very sad

All the troubles on earth that we all experience are because of sin!
We are reaping that which we have sown.
God is righteous in all His ways, and holy in all His works!

You were born into freedom and into the most wonderful country the world has ever known and you scoff because everything is not perfect and prosperous and peaceful around the globe.

You mock Almighty God and yet praise George Carlin?
You worship the creation rather than the Creator!

It is a very sad thing to go through life without the help and guidance of the Lord, but it is most sad to enter eternity in such a miserable state.

Time is short....Eternity is not!

Today is the day of salvation (you very well may not be here tomorrow).
There is still time for ANYONE to repent of their sins, and call upon Him for mercy and forgiveness through Jesus Christ alone.

We who know the One True and Living God, the very God who has made Himself known through His written Word and through His creation, the One who came down from heaven and to earth who took upon Himself a body of flesh and bore our sins upon a tree, we look forward to that great day when we shall enter into His glory and to an inheritance that is incorruptible and undefiled and that fadeth not away.

We have a home in the heavens made not with hands, an eternal home where there will never again be any sorrow or suffering, no more pain, no more tears, no more sin, no more fighting, no more death.
He will make ALL things new!
It will be an eternity of unspeakable joy!
That is what we look forward to and we know it will come.
He will come for us!
Till that day, we call upon Him in ALL things ALWAYS, and seek His help and His guidance, and ask His blessings for the good we seek in life both for ourselves and others.

Peace

" In Thee O Lord do I put my trust " ~ Psalm 31:1~

Hey man,

you took the words right out of my fingertips.

Even the church doesn't like to acknowledge sin today but it is THE reason for the current state of the world, past and present.

Man screwed up and God graciously fixed it. All one must do is believe that God's substitute for man's error is enough. Believe in one's heart.

And indeed...eternity is a very long time.

The law cannot make a wicked person virtuous…God’s grace alone can accomplish such a thing.
Ron Paul - The Revolution

Setting a good example is a far better way to spread ideals than through force of arms. Ron Paul

I was born into a Totalitarian Country

By the time I was born, they had already assassinated President Kennedy right in the light of day, and the Central Bank Monopoly and War Establishment had taken over here long, long before I was ever born. Just what's so "wonderful" about a Totalitarian Country ruled by the Military Industrial Complex, Perpetual Warfare, and Financial Enslavement? (....and with rigged Elections as well....)

And as I said, if "God" can't save Martin L King....he ain't gonna be saving you or me either. Wake-up.

Watch the George Carlin video again ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gPOfurmrjxo ). For the truth shall set you free (from your holy drivel, and social brainwashing).

Even better yet watch the video below, and learn how this whole bizarre Religious brainwashing was really started:

Watch: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FTgwCSiZKsA

Learn the truth!

I agree...but I recommend

you stop feeding the squirrels.

You're forgetting something

You speak much about death and corruption going on in your lifetime and so you are not happy.

The very first person born to this earth murdered his younger brother!
The entire world has been polluted with sin from the beginning!
It's in each and every one of us!
From the moment you take your very first breath, you begin to die!
This world will NEVER be right! NEVER!
The opposite is true. It gets darker by the day!
If Jesus tarries, you and I and everyone on this forum will die one day. It may be a pleasant death, it may not be.
Speaking for myself, it really doesn't matter. What matters is where will you go after that! That is what is most important!

Every day approximately 150,000 people die....EVERY DAY!
What is YOUR solution to that.....Listen to George Carlin?

The Bible says that "it is appointed unto man once to die, and then the judgment."

I never said nor asked that God would save us ( from death )

I was asking for His blessing in this whole matter of putting a God fearing man like Ron into the White House ( if that is His will )that we may continue to enjoy the freedoms and liberties endowed to us.

This world gets darker and darker with each revolution it makes.

My home is not this world and I praise God for that, but while I am here, I will call upon the name of the Lord always, and in all matters.

As far a Mr. Carlin goes, his book is closed!
He will not be enjoying the presence and glory of the Lord, nor will he share any of the eternal joy for his eternity.
Sadly, he was a very ungodly man and you use him as an example of truth and hope?
There is one Hope, and one Truth and one Way, and that is Jesus Christ Himself.

May God in His mercy, open your eyes!

Peace

" In Thee O Lord do I put my trust " ~ Psalm 31:1~

I agree with much of what you said

I wholeheartedly believe we must re-connect with nature if there is to be any hope for this world. I agree that traditional native Americans serve as a good model in that regard. I would only like to point out that native American Indians acknowledge The Spirit That Moves Through All Things and also The Great Spirit - as I do as well, if using different names, i.e., The Holy Spirit and God the Father, respectively. Indian lore is also rich in history/myth, including but not limited to stories about Creation and life after death. Indians also have their spiritual/religious ceremonies - indeed with "hats" (headdresses and ornaments) that some might deem funny and using musical instruments such as drums, flutes, and whistles. Some ceremonies would be for specific purposes such as prior to hunting expeditions or related to rain; they also pray for positive outcomes and help. The smoke of tobacco in ties or via a pipe is believed to carry prayers up to heaven; if one believes, it's not viewed as magic. I say all that with a caveat: not all traditional Indians share the same traditions and beliefs. P.S. I was happy to see Lakota leader Russel Means endorse Ron Paul. With liberty, we can practice our beliefs, whatever they might be.

When we try to pick out anything by itself, we find it hitched to everything else in the Universe.
~ John Muir

Nicely said, mdefarge.

As a devout Christian, I concur with your thoughts. First, ya gotta believe, and miracles are then made possible. It isn't magic; it's faith.

Amen!

In WW2 George Patten prayed for the weather to clear so that our aircraft could advance, and it cleared... Historical Fact;

http://pattonhq.com/prayer.html

He ordered a prayer be written, and ordered that all soldiers were to pray. He was known to pray to God on his knees and in contrast had a habit of violent cursing. He also believed in Reincarnation.

He picked the fight

By posting on this thread.

Choose to post wherever you like.

Freedom is Great!

I PICKED THE FIGHT?

By simply saying I don't speak to God since my son died?

"Freedom is Great!" you quote.

But I don't have the right to mention I don't pray without "picking a fight".

What kind of two-faced freedom is that?

Maybe you should change your quote to say:

"Freedom is Great; you have the freedom to agree with me. Otherwise you are picking a fight!"

You are right about one thing kiterun

Whenever The Lord God or the name Jesus Christ is mentioned anywhere, there will ALWAYS be the forces of darkness to come out and shoot firey brands at them....ALWAYS!
I am NEVER troubled by this.....NEVER!
This post is for all who believe to be a reminder when hope seems to be failing, our Hope is in the Lord and in the power of His might.
Yes, freedom is great......
God, is Greater!

Peace everyone

Are you

George Bush?

Thanks for Posting this Prayer

It's unfortunate that it's developed into a free-for-all.
No Good Deed goes UN-Punished, eh?

The "Humanist" (I roll my eyes) couldn't keep his/her mouth shut, and just let it go...."LIVE and LET LIVE"...some Libertarian YOU are!

And the "officially-ordained-ex-believer" is under the false assumption that he has the "monopoly" on pain in this world, choosing to publicize his "personal misery", and "lashes out" to those who would give words of comfort....No sympathy from me...get off the "pity-pot" my friend.
....YOU CAN GROW...OR HEAVE HO!...otherwise STFU.

THERE ARE NO AETHEISTS IN FOXHOLES....So deal with it, let this post be.
PERIOD!

Seek & Share.

Reminding others to humbly call on The Almighty is very praise-worthy, also a need of the times because mankind is very troubled. I will post a related verse tomorrow and keep this thread alive. Or you could post it, has been posted on DP few months back = 2Chronicles 7:14.
May you find greater strength, to search & share truths.

Amen.

What a prayer for this ongoing battle between Good and Evil. Thank you for sharing it with everyone, holbrook.

Since I joined DP almost 40 weeks ago, I've seen the highest points and the lowest points in the Revolution and particularly, on DP.

And I've seen an inexorable pattern over and over again: No sooner do the curtains drop and all the bad actors take their bow, the lights start blinking and the curtains rise again, like magic.

"If you want something you've never had before, you have to do something you've never done before." Debra Medina

Yes!

Me and my own imaginary friend Ted agree with OP completely!

/rolleyes

Whether you believe or don't believe -

I think we can ALL agree that we are ALL shooting for the same goal here and want the same outcome, correct? Whether that be through, making videos, sign holding, becoming delegates, phone banking, prayer, etc. It never ceases to amaze me why non-believers try to mock the believers. And in that same vein, the believers feel that it's their spiritual duty to preach their beliefs onto others.

Listen, we're ALL on the same team here, and if you reflect on your post for a minute, I hope you can come to the conclusion that it was really unnecessary to rain on their parade so to speak. Let THEM be, as you would like THEM to let YOU be with your beliefs.

Not trying to tell you what to, or not to do here, but just think for a moment if it actually helps ALL OF OUR CAUSE in getting Dr. Paul nominated in any way. Peace out!

ecard71 - My post was, and is

a post of hope.
No matter what you or anyone else may believe or may not believe, the truth is that without the help of Almighty God, we will never overcome! Fact is, the reason why we are where we are today is because of so many godless people in our government!
True God fearing people, hold to what they vow and obey the law!
Especially if they vow it unto God as do all our legislators!
They will do that which is right in the sight of God!
Ron Paul is a perfect example!
The law of our land is the constitution!

A nation without God is a nation that is damned!
That is from the very mouth of God.
"The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God" ~Psalm 9:17~

There will always be people offended no matter what one posts.
I accept that. I understand. I make no appologies in my post and calling upon the Lord for help nor would I EVER!
Peace.

" In Thee O Lord do I put my trust " ~ Psalm 31:1~

I clearly see that it was a post of hope -

and I appreciate it for what it was for and I sincerely thank you for it and surely DON'T expect you to apologize for it. I did up-vote it in case you were wondering. Though I don't understand why you felt the need to explain it to me? If it was because of this; "And in that same vein, the believers feel that it's their spiritual duty to preach their beliefs onto others." in my reply to haze, it's because I needed to explain to Haze that I maybe understood WHY it was that he wanted to take a jab at this post/the believers. Explaining the Golden Rule if you will, but also understanding the "blowback" of unwanted preaching if you will. Once again holbrook, I understood the post completely. Peace to you as well and by all means continue with your prayers.

BTW just to add, - I will point out the fact that while I understand and admire your complete faith in why this country is in the shape that it's in, I hope you also understand that not everyone feels and thinks this way. Whether we agree with them or not, we should respect each others points of views. For example; trying to convince you that you are wrong about this would be like trying to convince the Neocons and Romulans that they are wrong about the wars. We will never win by trying to force our beliefs onto others, but instead by showing them and winning their hearts and minds. Take care.
