BLOWBACK for RP

0 votes

Folks:

What if every time somebody snubbed, slighted, jeered, laughed, or mocked Dr. Paul or his supporters, we each made a donation to the campaign? This would do three things for us:

1. Raise more money for the campaign.
2. Encourage those who disagree with Dr. Paul to at least treat him respectfully.
3. Help teach folks what BLOWBACK is -- of course this time, it's good for us.

I just delivered $100 of BLOWBACK for snubbery at this evening's debate, and I'll set my BLOWBACK commitment to $5 per occurrence.

Join me! Finally a way to kill THREE birds with one stone.

Great minds think alike!

Ron Paul for President!!!

I doubled my donation to Dr. Paul because of the way Fox treated Dr. Paul!

I LOVE your enthusiasim!!

I had my GF hit the good Dr. up with some money tonight too..

I THOUGHT HE MORE THAN EARNED IT!!

I wonder

what someone who doesnt know RP or his campaign feels when they see how the others behave towards him. Off course its despicable behavior, especially from any presidential candidate, but we are biased.

Do you think voters who dont know the campaign are displeased with this behavior or do they not care.

well...

We heard the boos in the audience defending RP...and I don't think the audience was packed with RP supporters.

Any humane thinking person who sees this treatment...has to see something is up. But, we see it constantly, because we've watched so much. Seeing it one time, would not probably register...it is the weight of watching it that really registers.

I keep thinking that one day

I keep thinking that one day folks will wake up. I suppose this reveals a flaw in my thinking. I expect everyone, collectively to "wake up" just like I did. It won't happen that way. Folks wake up, one at a time; just like I did.

Hmmmmmmmmm

All these ideas from someone that's been here 30 minutes

Here to the end

Well, I guess you got me there. Actually I tried to sign up a week ago, and couldn't figure out how to do it. I've been watching the dailypaul for as long as I've been interested in politics, for as long as I've known about Dr. Paul, for all of the last several months. So I admit, I'm not vetted and tried -- I'm new, but I'm here to the end.

yes...

I read for weeks, but the register account button was disabled.

??

Is every newbie a troll? I've heard others post this exact same idea in the past. Maybe we all need some sleep...

I'd have to sell my house...

I'd have to sell my house...

I don't know!!!

I would be broke in a matter of several days.

I have already maxed out at $2300....but if You hold me to this on every Channel and every article....I will have to kick in $100,000 in 3 days.

LOL

They hate us...and they are out to stop us....today I got RE-ENERGIZED after this debate. Fox looked like fools with that planted focus group!

Good idea

Also, it is kind of an offset for the garbage Dr. Paul has to put up with mostly on our behalf. I'm maxed, but after the primaries, I can start again.

Please give us a working definition of blowback?

Please give us a working definition of blowback?

Metaphor

Probably a metaphor for throwing something into a headwind and finding it landing on your head.

The old "spit into the wind"

The old "spit into the wind" analogy.

Good question

I think the general definition that I'm using is: unforeseen repercussions to an action. In this case, they slight us, we give more.

Now, not everybody's got to set their price at $5. I don't watch TV, so I'll miss a good number of the rude comments. Of course, if this starts breaking me, then I'll have to drop back to a much more reasonable $0.10. That way I won't max out my $2300 for perhaps a whole week! :)

Read recently that Dr. Paul

Read recently that Dr. Paul is actually credited with the word 'blowback' from one of the debates.....don't remember. It was one where he used it on JulieAnnie. Applies it in result of what our foreign policy is doing to us. Another good one I heard was 'porcupine' in describing those times they attack and limp away with little holes somewhere :-)

Hi flea

He flea...see you are still with us.

Like it...

# Unintended negative consequences from some action or policy

Exactly

Exactly! For those that don't like us, they get a negative, unintended consequence. Well put.

Although...

let only it be positive consequences for the campaign..such as donating...and not necessarily a gang chasing Hannity down the street ha.
