"When Did England Become a Police State?” – Steven Van Zandt of the E-Street Band

http://youtu.be/AVkWkNgvvu0

Bruce Springsteen and the E-Street Band were rocking out in England during a historic performance that included Paul McCartney. Fans were enjoying the show till 10:30PM hit. That’s when the microphones were cut and the show was ended abruptly because they had played past the 10:30 curfew. Yes, a 10:30 curfew for a historic concert, on a Saturday night.

Steven Van Zandt, a guitarist in Bruce Springsteen’s E-Street Band had the following to say on twitter

“One of the great gigs ever in my opinion. But seriously, when did England become a police state?”

“The cops got nothing more important to do? How about they go catch some criminals instead of f#cking with 80,000 people having a good time?”

Wonder if Steven plans to play in New York City anytime soon? Some tweets about Big Gulps maybe?
