Ben Swann: Three Facts About A Candidate's Name Being Placed Into Nomination at RNC

Via Ben Swann's Facebook Page:

3 FACTS ABOUT A CANDIDATES NAME BEING PLACED INTO NOMINATION AT THE REPUBLICAN NATIONAL CONVENTION!

I have been in touch with a member of the RNC Rules committee over the past 4 days and have been able to confirm a few FACTS about the nomination process.

1. For a candidate's name to be placed into nomination at the RNC you DO need a plurality of delegates from 5 states.

2. Binding and Non-binding distinctions DO NOT have an affect on nominating a candidates name. If "binding" is allowable by rule, (it is not) it would only pertain to a vote taken on the nomination, not the process of placing a name in nomination.

3. The Ron Paul campaign HAS the majority of delegates in the following 5 states: Nevada, Maine, Minnesota, Louisana, Iowa. He MAY have the majority in Massachusetts and Colorado

I try to change people every day. Do You?

yeah good idea

he would make a good word spreader

Great news!

I hope to see Ron Paul in Tampa! I wonder how many hundreds of Romney delegates that won't show up because they think he already won?

Sorry, not a chance...

...that Romney's people won't show up. You don't seem to understand the pride these rank and file jersey wearers have to attend the biggest and most coveted "party" they could attend. Every delegate slot that Ron Paul did not secure is held by mostly insiders. They are so used to going along to get along that few will buck their instructions for "the good of party unity". Most would vote for Hitler if their State's US Senator sat down beside them or phoned them and yucked it up like they were old friends, influence peddling and twisting arms is their middle name.
Our delegates MUST be supported if they are financially pressed to make the trip so please budget as much support as you can. Get others to contribute too!
A delegate money bomb would be a great thing but the funds must go to a certified and trusted depository who will see to it that those really needing the help get what they need. It is very costly to go and I know a few, as perhaps you do, that really really need the help.
They've gotten themselves elected for us so we don't need to let them go like homeless people.
If you don't trust others, find one yourself and help them directly!
ALL MUST GO - ONE WAY OR THE OTHER!

O U R P L A N = R O N P U A L (Coinsidence? I think not.)

hmmm, maybe that is why RP is

hmmm, maybe that is why RP is downplaying our chances...all the while telling all of his delegates to attend...?

I think so.

.

Good thing I'm still running

Good thing I'm still running around in full Paul swag :)

AWESOME!!!!

you ROCK Ben!!!! Get this done folks!

Maybe the campaign can clear this up?

RT TV said we had 11 states in the bag and maybe 14. Now the campaign says we only have 4? I hate to think they are going by Maddows numbers..

Government is supposed to protect our freedom, our property, our privacy, not invade it. Ron Paul 2007

What about Virginia?

I thought we had the plurality in that state as well..

isn't alaska also

ron pauls.. but they are bound mitthead?

It's time! Rand Paul 2016!

"Truth, Justice, and the American Way!"

It is just a rule

A rule by the private club. It i have heard can be changed at whim. However the Lawyers for Ron Paul are working on a law not a rule. The 9th Circuit court of Appeals is a court you do not want to mess with. They hold a lot of power. Even Gingrich wants to eliminate it. Good Luck Bohemia Grove Newt.

Private Club, Their Rules, They Can Change Their Rules... Why

did I donate to the max, donate to have super brochures sent out, donate my time to educate Americans about Ron Paul...? If the fix is in, then they already knew who they wanted and WE have no say in this process at all... This was my first time to donate to a campaign. This system needs to change, we need to do away with the Private Clubs.

PS I think about all the people who have donated to this campaign when they did not have the money. That is what is a real shame.

fighting for what you believe

fighting for what you believe in, no matter the chance of success, is never a shame

Yes, We Have Been Fighting In What We Believe In But Is This How

our Founding Fathers intended the election process to be? Controlled by the establishment, the 1%, the bankers, the Rothchilds, the mainstream media etc.? We the People should be deciding who the best candidate is, not some private club!!! I see no point in donating money or time when the chosen one was already selected. My main point is with all these ridicules laws, thousands and thousands of them, someone needs to introduce a bill to change this election process. Next to End the Fed, changing the election process should be at the top of bills to introduce. As I have said before, get rid to the parties and vote for the best person. Another subject for another time is the millions of dollars that are raised and wasted on these campaigns, how sad and what a waste!

We need confirmation from the RNC!

All of these states listed need to confirm with the RNC that Ron Paul's name is in fact entered into nomination before the convention. Otherwise, the reality is going to Tampa to be steamrolled at Romney's coronation.

The RNC needs confirmation from the delegates

I posted this earlier on this thread but it's getting lost in the comments below.
Copied from a correspondence saw while scrolling through the 'lawsuit filing' scroll to page 232
https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B42o0yg7D7tcZG5Xb0hEclBiejQ/...

"The Delegates from the 5 states must sign a nominating form that is then submitted to The Secretary of the Republican National Convention.

The rules require that a roll call be taken from each state who announces the number of votes for any eligible candidates as well as any person someone would like to cast a vote for in the roll call. A person does not have to be officially nominated to receive votes, however this vote is essentially pointless as it will not count towards the official tally.

Therefore to clarify, a candidate must receive the support of the majority of the five states delegations in order to be officially placed into the nomination. Only candidates that have been officially nominated can accumulate votes that count towards the majority of delegates necessary to officially nominate the Republican nominee for President. The Republican nominee for President must receive at least 1191 votes from the National Convention Delegation in order to receive the official nomination."

So, I am wondering if the delegates in at least 5 states have signed the form and submitted it yet as well as the roll call?

If Wars Can Be Started by Lies, They Can Be Stopped By Truth.

We must comply!

As others have said and I agree, the RNC Rules and Credential committees will be told to find some way to disqualify our Paul delegates from being seated. The process of credentialing is critical. We must cover all bases and get in any required forms, properly filled out, in on time or ahead of time, certified mail return receipt requested.
Somebody needs to be the "know it all" and they need to get each state's Paul delegation leader up to speed NOW! I am absolutely sure there are deadlines for certain things that must be submitted. We may have less then a week to get in any forms that require a 30 day prior date. The RNC should be sending every elected delegate a convention packet but one of their tricks will be to delay or just not send packets to our delegates. Also, in the contested states where our delegates were "pulled" and replaced by unelected delegates, our ousted delegates need to obtain a packet and send in their forms as normal. Let the RNC sort it out, accept them or reject them and make them give the reasons.
Listen folks, you cannot "over" Mother Hen your state's Paul delegates or give quarter to the Insiders who stole your seats from you.
We are in a dog fight folks and this is one test of many that we will face going forward. The bias we can all see on the surface is twice that great behind closed doors.
Like state conventions, if we are sorely outnumbered, we simply won't get what we know is needed unless we get a little Divine Intervention, which we will need as well.
If you are a delegate and you have gotten the RNC packet, please make a complete set of every page in PDF files and tell your state's delegation leader you can provide them. Only one set is needed to distribute across the country but this is very urgent as I see it.
Other opinions are very welcome.

O U R P L A N = R O N P U A L (Coinsidence? I think not.)

I agree and furthermore

The elected/ qualified delegates who do not recieve packages, or the packages arrive late, should sue for neglect, as they are doing in OR.

LittleWing's picture

Very well stated, this needs it's own post!

You are exactly right, thank you for stating it so well. My worry is necessary steps may get overlooked! No one can assume it is being done by someone else and it cannot be left up to the campaign. The delegates need to be on top of this and organized to complete all requirements quickly.Time is of the essence since we know they will probably try to delay forms and correspondence Please consider making this a topic post.

If Wars Can Be Started by Lies, They Can Be Stopped By Truth.

I hope they haven't. I hope they wait until they are

approved by the credentialling committee. Until then, don't show everything.

Also, what is this 1191 votes instead of 1144? Huh?

2008

They were quoting the procedure from 2008

Caution: is this approach "taking control"? In this life

we "claim what is our's". Do you want to claim victory, or do you want to ask permission from people who hate and despise you for what is your due?

It is all in the approach and attitudel. If you want to come off as an employee or a boss. As an equal or as a junior executive? Your choice.

I say --GIVE IT TO US. IT'S OUR'S. WHERE ARE OUR CHAIRS ON THAT STAGE?

Go ask their permission and YOU LOSE, DUDE!

THERE IS NO APOSTROPHE IN ANY POSSESSIVE PRONOUN!

Seeing something like "our apostrophe s" screams "I'M AN IGNORAMUS!!!"

Let's at least learn to write proper American English, OK?

Freedom is my Worship Word!

Please see above post

There is a formality required to have RP placed for nomination. The delegates in at least 5 of our plurality states need to submit the form.

If Wars Can Be Started by Lies, They Can Be Stopped By Truth.

That chairman from Iowa didn't sound like they were too

into submitting this; I wonder if Minnesota submitted it if Iowa would even go along with it.....sounded tenuous.

SequoiaTrees4RonPaul

I was an alternate to

I was an alternate to Minnesota. I contacted someone from our campaign to verify. Will keep you posted.

Agreed,

therefore we shouldn't ask permission from a judge to vote our conscience.

I never said we needed to

I never said we needed to "ask permission" I said that these states need confirmation. There is a big difference. These states absolutely must submit Ron Paul for the nomination before everyone gets to Tampa and if they haven't done that yet then people need to become made aware and get on it. I don't want to hear RNC claim next month that some forms were "never" sent in or "weren't sent in on time" or any other BS excuse. We are too close now to fail over some technicality
