Justice Department Closes Two More S.F. Medical Marijuana Dispensaries

The number of medical marijuana dispensaries in San Francisco will dip to a nearly 10-year low on August 1, when two more permitted pot clubs will close under pressure from the federal Justice Department.

Vapor Room, located on Haight Street, and HopeNet, on Ninth Street, will both cease operations at the end of the business day on July 31, representatives from both dispensaries told SF Weekly.

Landlords of both dispensaries received letters from U.S. Attorney Melinda Haag in April, where she warned of property seizures or decades-long prison terms if the dispensaries were not shuttered.

Who is going to stand up to this? Why isn't this a bigger issue

against Obama in CA?

"When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know Peace." - Jimi Hendrix

Green Party Roseanne Barr

Barr had 207 votes to GJ's 21 in my county where it is legal to grow MM with tags one buys from the sheriff and a recommendation from a doctor.

While the Libertarians ushered in Prop 215, MM was to be FREE to terminally ill patients. Then the clubs started and folks asking for donations to keep the doors open. then donations became fixed price for operations.

Meanwhile, the Libertarians who were growing, were stock piling millions in case they got busted, and here in CA, the majority did NOT want it legalized, but decriminalized. The liberal side, at Harbor and Oaksterdam U, decided that the solution was to pay massive taxes. And they did pay huge amounts to the government to remain in operation, which just corrupted the government on a deeper level, because if a club was not paying the government millions quaterly, what good were they?

Since Prop 215 passed in 96, clubs open, and clubs close, and people go to prison and get out, it rotates. Closing a club is one way the government hurts the supply side on the grower level, especially here, where it is legal to grow. When growers have lost an outlet they still need to distribute their product, and this is when we read stories in our papers of people crossing state lines and getting popped with pounds, and their cash being confiscated.

The Ron Paul Republicans who are seated in the GOP are the ones in the possition to actually come together to expose and end this racket under a GOP presdident, because they can do to Obama what Clintons seats did to Obama, turn the tables.

This move by the government will help Barr the most and GJ second (difusing and complicating a GOP/ DP contest, but since most of the people supporting RB and GJ are actually involved in the business, it's going to be the RP GOP who will actually work to end the war on MM and save the state billions in reducing a police state and government corruption, as that is one of our goals.

she will not be on the ballot

Bet you he won't

After 16 years in the LP, I know a little about it. Bet me your Liberty Flag, I'll bet you mine, unless you got something else to bet. I say NO WAY will GJ get 80% in the Oct 3RD debate.

Hey BTW, last few weeks I've been adopted by a huge flock of pidgeons. I think of you when I see them. Must be about two dozen,, maybe that's not much by city standards, but for out here, that's huge.. got about a half dozen morning doves.. the awallows just left.. and I have a bat. I named him "Batley". He flies circles around me. I think I have a crush on him.

This is the year

of freedom!

it has become a big issue in several states

Article here:
http://www.theweedblog.com/comparing-marijuana-legalization-...

in several states Gary Johnson (who is for legalization) is doing very well in polls 7% - 12%.
Having marijuana legalization measures on the ballot in several states on Nov. 6th will help him a lot.
