Howard Stern talks favorably about Ron Paul a second time.

Howard read some of the thank you responses given to him after his first favorable words about Dr Paul and once again has talked favorably about him on the air. I think we need to get Mr Stern some more information about what Dr Paul stands for. I think it is important to get out the message of Dr Paul in any way we can, especially to immunize people to this racial bs going on from the New Republic, and this could be a great way to get access to a completely different audience.

Count me as one of the people
who still thinks there is an opportunity here. I don't think its too late to get Stern talking more about Ron Paul or Ron Paul talking with Stern. I'm sure Ron Paul will be in New York when they have their primary right?
Howard Blew it
He was on Letterman Last night. He was asked what he thought about the race. Letterman even asked about Ron Paul. His answer was that there are too many guys in now and wanted to wait for two to remain then followed by, "I Like Guiliani". I was crushed since I have been suggesting for the last month Howard should support the RP based on his 1st amendement stand and the latest positive talking about RP on the show. We shall see...
I think he's backing-off
Because a certain person Wendy McElroy mentioned needs to come forward. Howard may have a lot of racial humor on the show, but IMO Howard is NOT a racist. In fact, the show relentlessly mocks Daniel Carver (a KKK loon who occasionally calls). A lot of people seem to mistake the show's honesty for racism, but the Stern Show truly isn't about that. But think about it...All this racist stuff comes out, the actual writer refuses to come forward so it's all STILL focused on the candidate, the official campaign STILL doesn't renew Stern Show ads despite DAYS of him saying nice things, and Howard doesn't say anything BAD. I think that's pretty-good...

SEND HOWARD LETTERS TO GET DR PAUL ON...
I've sent letters and now that he's on the radar im sure Howard would have him on.
-----------------DO YOU REALLY WANT RON TO WIN------------------
Ron needs more than just money. Send this strategy to mail@ronpaul2008.com and also to press@ronpaul2008.com if these ideas make sense to you

Stern really is a stand up guy
His demographic is quite diverse- as is Ron Paul's base. Hopefully when he is invited on the show (and he will be) he will focus on some of the issues that may be more pertinent to the 18-30 yr old demographic - Iraq, civil liberties, etc. he should be ready to discuss his veiws about marijuana without seeming like he advocates casual drug use- he'll be walking a fine line. Maybe avoid some of the math/financial budget stuff that people may not be as receptive to during the morning commute or at the office. Stern is cool- he wont let it turn into a free for all with the callers and would strike a happy and informative balance.
We need to do 2 things.
1. NOT email bomb Fred. Leave the show alone unless you're a listener and fully understand it. They know how you feel. Fred says "you're welcome," but believe me, we do NOT want to piss Fred off...
2. Buy the ads we need to buy on that show last Tuesday at the latest. We're DAYS LATE doing this, HQ. What's wrong? Why are you missing the tremendous opportunity presented by just paying the premium rate & using Howard's own words from the Tuesday show??? Do you understand what you're throwing away by doing nothing?????
Look, people...Fox had to rig their own poll (hmmmm....) or that Sanjaya weirdo would have won "American Idol" hands-down. You can like Stern, hate Stern, or be indifferent, but the show has "media hacking" effects. They called it "A Revolution" before we called THIS "A rEVOLution," dammit, and whether or not that's the official campaign view, we need to take advantage of this opportunity. Stern's show isn't very political on most days, so what Howard did Tuesday was a LOT for us. We need to buy ads on his Sirius channel. We have the money, and it's nationwide. Then Dr. Paul needs to phone-in on Bubba's terrestrial radio show with both shows listening and asking questions.

I think you have a good idea
I think you have a good idea here.
Wasn't suggesting email bombs ...
I meant that we should get them good information, not email bomb them. Mr Stern, in that audio recording, said that he has heard very little of Dr Paul outside of a FOX NEWS (god help us) interview. We can't let it rest at that.
Yeah, I know.
It was a pre-emptive strike because in EVERY thread that mentions Howard someone tells NON-listeners to email-bomb poor Fred. IMO it'd be funny as hell if the campaign just bleeped the words "Fox News" like an obscenity on old radio, with enough of the end of the word "News" coming through that it's obvious. :) May as well use the massive media bias to our advantage.
We'd also want the ad to use Howard's words about the FCC. A lot of Stern Show listeners have a deep and abiding hatred for the censorship-arm of that particular obese-government agency. Many of these folks, if they heard Dr. Paul's position from Howard's lips a few times, would effectively be "one issue voters" for getting rid of FCC funding 100%. There is NO more effective ad we could buy, and obviously buying ads is a good idea in advance of an interview, which I also want.

PS Speaking of that, our group has a sign that says "Media Bias Makes Me Do This!" It spins.
