New Poll: 45% Vote Ron Paul For President With 58% Favorability
In a new poll conducted by Pulse Opinion Research, matching up presidential candidates Barack Obama and Ron Paul, 45% of one thousand likely voters across America said they would vote Ron Paul for President.
58% of those surveyed have a favorable view of Ron Paul, while just 36% have an unfavorable view. Compare this to Mitt Romney (50% favorable, 45% unfavorable) and Barack Obama (51% favorable, 48% unfavorable). Ron Paul is viewed in a favorable light by significantly more people than Obama or Romney.
The "likely voters" were asked the following question: "Suppose in this year's Presidential Election you had a choice between Republican Ron Paul and Democrat Barack Obama. If the election were held today would you vote for Republican Ron Paul or Democrat Barack Obama?" The results are: 45% Ron Paul and 47% Barack Obama. (+/-3%)

How about the last poll be Obama vs. Paul AND Obama vs. Romney?
I know it's another $1000, but what if the last poll asked about Obama vs. Ron Paul and then another question of Obama vs. Romney?
As long as we don't have Romney and Paul in the same question the establishment voters can't choose Romney over Paul. A poll like this would prove that Ron Paul takes votes away from Obama...and all the establishment Republicans are going to vote for whoever challenges Obama no matter what. And, even though there's no proof, it's kind of obvious that with Ron Paul as the Republican candidate there will be a lot less votes lost lost to the third party candidate!
I imagine after we see the positive results from the first poll the money will quickly flow into these polls!
Just a thought.

Poll Timing
James, do you think the pollsters will work with you on the timing so that you're able to get poll 1 results in time to edit poll 2 questions if needed, and then the same for poll 3?; and then have poll 3 results in time to disseminate before the convention?
Edit Poll Questions
We can't get the First Poll results back, 11 Aug, in time to edit the results for the benefit of the Second Poll.
The Second Poll must be approved and funded by 7 Aug. But, we have 5, 6, and 7 Aug to edit the Second Poll. Second Poll script approval and funding by 7 Aug. for results by 17 Aug.
We will have time to digest the First Poll results in time to edit the third poll. We'll have an "edit window" for the third Poll from 11 - 17 Aug. Let's polish the third poll and make it count for the RNC Delegates.
Pulse has advised me to keep all three polls the same. I'll get the details and publish their reasoning here.

I don't get it.
One of the highest voted and commented on posts for the last week and it keeps getting moved further and further down the page. I had to go to General & Law-Ron Paul 2012-Activism when I got tired of going through the pages. It's bookmarked now so I can find it when the poll results come in. I'm kind of new to this. Does anyone understand how posts are rated?

either love Ron Paul and haven't registered yet to comment and vote up on Daily Paul or a lot of people what to know just what we are up to, as in trolls, news media, etc. If we have that many viewing, then we should be able to get enough donations to finish off our goal of funding the 3rd poll. Will continue to bump for donations!
