They Tried To Make A Mockery Of RP

0 votes

On the most part I think that they succeeded.
When they split screen to Romney, it was NOT showing he was learning something. It was a WTF look (meant to relay to the public, RP is daft). The type of questions etc, etc, etc.
I know WE know his message and believe in it but I think the masses that we are trying to appeal to were laughing at RP not with him. I know this won't be a popular post but I feel unfortunately it is true. We will have to play last night to our advantage.I think RP made some very good points and hopefully we will be able to show people the smear that was going on in the debate. Hopefully America's love for underdogs will come into play. I pray that the super secret plan will work. I'm sure the MSM and the powers that be will have a lot up their sleeves. Rolling up my sleeves and not giving up but I am a realist and have a need to put last night into perspective so that I and we can deal with it effectively.

The day we stop listening to critical or negative comments

or positive suggestions that might appear negative, is the day we turn in the wrong direction. Whats wrong with what this person said - that a lot a people were laughing with the other candidates and that means we dont have their vote - well he is right. We dont have their vote.

Did they make a mockery of RP? I dont think so - they made a mockery of their own ignorance. The question is whether we have enough time to show them the light.

I dont know this person - have never spoken to them, have not looked at their other posts so I dont know if he is a troll or not, but from this post - I would say he is a well meaning supporter who is trying to point out what happened.

Stay positive folks.

They did not succeed in making a mockery of RP

They only succeeded in making themselves look like mockers and scoffers (or in other words, mean idiots).
I read somewhere that someone thought they turned Dr. Paul's earpiece down so he couldn't hear ExHume ask "What are you responding to?" Usually, Dr. Paul is calm even when they are mean and nasty, but the look on his face made me think something else truly unfair happened. I have never seen his face look as clouded as after that incident.
In response to someone saying they couldn't stand McCain's smirking: one of the smirks I saw wasn't so much a look of superiority, but it actually looked like someone planted a fist in his face. He didn't smirk, he winced. And I laughed.

FERTILIZERS 4 FREEDOM = Fox News, neocons, and anti-Paulites

FERTILIZERS 4 FREEDOM = Fox News, neocons, and anti-Paulites

All these arrogant institutions and individuals who are against our good Dr.Paul are merely FERTILIZERS (Read DUNG) for FREEDOM

Read Genesis 50:20...."What the enemy means for evil, God means for good."

It's not always easy going through this process but there is a method behind the madness and one of the ultimate joys is to see that evil, under God's providence, can only ultimately promote the good, to its own dismay. :-)

Similarly, in the Book of Esther when evil Haman constructed a gallows for the good and righteous Mordecai and it looked like good Mordecai was going to be hung on these gallows, guess who ended up being hung on the gallows he constructed......That's right, Haman.

That's right, Fox News! :-)

is it just me

or is this a troll thread. more negative b.s. "I am a realist and have a need to put last night into perspective so that I and we can deal with it effectively"
You don't sound for real to me. What about your comment that they are the majority? I thought we were done feeding into this crap.

The other candidates are

The other candidates are hyenas. They are acting exactly as they are supposed to. I really hope that their boorish behavior will affect the American people the same way it affects me.

Look at Ron Paul's Republican opponents: a cross-dressing, self-proclaimed hero, who thinks that advocating war will resonate with an electorate sick of war. The Manchurian Candidate, a former POW who has more love and admiration for his former captors than he does for the families of MIAs. He wants to bomb Iran and stay in Iraq for a hundred years. The Mannequin from Massachusettes, a plastic politician that speaks out of both sides of his mouth, and is on all sides of every issue. A minister who has convinced many gullible Americans that he is God's candidate. He too, wants to continue the "war on terrorism" in Iraq. And the Herman Munster look-alike. He can't decide if he want's to be an actor or a politician.

I can't believe that everyone else can't see the contrast between Ron Paul, and the other candidates. One candidate, Ron Paul speaks the truth, carries himself with dignity and make sense. The other candidates lie, obfuscate and act like fools. What more can I say?

Last night...

saw my Aunt's first exposure to Ron Paul and now she is absolutely voting for him. I sent her my extra bumper sticker in the mail today. Don't underestimate the power of truth over the usual BS. ;)

"It does not take a majority to prevail. But rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of men." ~Samuel Adams while plotting the Boston Tea Party.

Amen!

My wife watched and she

My wife watched and she normally does not but she said that it would be impossible for her to vote for one of the other guys when they treated Ron Paul like that. Word to the wise! As men maybe we like to poke, have fun laugh at each other....but women don't sometime see it that way.

Considering that the CFR Members are Cheating

By doing their sworn belief that if you manipulate the data you can control human behavior. These guys actual think they are hypnotists.

Ron Paul won this debate 30 years ago and has been winning it every day while at the same time helping your wives and your daughters and grand daughters by bringing your babies into the world. He takes his oaths seriously and he offers more freedom than anyone will offer us in our lifetimes. He will be remembered as the best president the United States ever had. The man George Washington would have elected if he could. Even if George was a freemason, I don't think he actually believed people would ever be so dumb to let them takeover.

their trying to be locker room bullies

you know that and i know that. sell the message to others vs. critique every cotton picking thing. praise builds momentum criticism weakens momentum. i'm starting to see where many here feel there are posters here who are motivated to undermine the campaign. i think some here are treating this more like an academic exercise vs. wanting and working towards any meaningful change. talk is cheap, action speaks louder than words.

Disagree with your post

Ran into a contractor building a new house across from mine, and we began talking and he said he usually doesn't usually watch debates but thought Ron Paul did the best.

Banks have almost stopped lending to Builders. Money Crunch now

build them up and tear them down. they build stock bubbles, housing bubbles, and print more and more money. PAUL IS RIGHT

IT IS NOT A WASTED VOTE!

What debate did you watch?

It was a great victory for Ron, he went on the offensive and put all of the others on the defensive, evidently you have very little training in interpreting body language, I have some, Giuliani the draft dodger was being very careful, he did not want to give Ron the opportunity to bring up the fact that Ron served his country, unlike him. Romney was in the same mood, because he, who does not want religion to be an issue, did make it an issue to get away from serving his country during the Viet-Nam era. McCaine did not know what to say when Ron brought up the fact that he is willing to keep the war going for 100 years. Ron's last response to evil intentioned questions brought up the fact that he is the one who realy practices and believes in the principles of the Republican party. Try to watch the next debate, if there is one, with your eyes opened.

American Underdog = Patriot

Dr. Paul, a passive and wise grandfather, stood his ground against Fox News and 5 staunch Neo-cons last night. Five or six to one is so blatantly unfair that I feel the American public is developing sympathy for Dr. Paul. Look at Jay Leno’s reaction to Fox’s snubbing of Dr. Paul from the previous debate. Even Fox realizes (as do other media) that exclusion of Dr. Paul drops their ratings. Last night’s debate was far more interesting and frankly, Dr. Paul stole the show.

Many have proposed that the “message” is more important than the man. In some respects, that is true, and Dr. Paul’s message of peace, contemplation and restraint in this volatile world is a welcome change to the bomb, invade and worry about consequences later crowd. The popular comments made by Huckabee and Thompson were similar to Dr. Paul’s. We all know that our Navy would destroy those tiny Iranian vessels within seconds, if shots were fired and rightfully so. Then, we would have to wait for the Iranian reaction. Would they declare war on us for losing a few speedboats and challenge the most powerful nation on Earth with troops poised on both sides of their borders? I think not. Yet, the neo-cons want to push the issue and threaten Iran further. The message is clear, even to the Iranians, do not engage the US military because we are just looking for a reason to destroy you. Is that American?

On the other hand, if the “man” is more important than the message, then Dr. Paul has proven himself worthy to lead our nation. He has been fighting against these forces for almost twenty years, sometimes outnumbered by over 400 to one. While they pillage social security, expand the role of government, defend special interests, accept money from lobbyists and enjoy the good life, Dr. Paul remains un-corruptible, tenaciously holding onto his conservative principles and many times being the lone vote to uphold the Constitution. He has been the underdog for most of his political career. And America loves an underdog, because we were founded by a group of heavily outnumbered underdogs!

Very Well Put!

Don't worry about Fox

RP will never convince their faithful viewers - these are the free republic meatheads that will think that Fred's answer to trust the federal reserve was right on, and be gleeful at the thought of killing Iranians.

However, last nights debate showed him to be more forceful, and, to any thinking person, (someone with the inteligence to see through Brit Humes stupid question), he did great.

agreed

Ron was incredible last night! He stayed on message! That is all that matters! When they tried to take a cheap shot with "truthers" he exposed them for who they are ... arrogant and selfish ... only worried about their own agenda.

You never going to convince FAUX anything ... they profit from war.

The MOVEMENT ... The Revolution ... all of us supporters are the only ones he needs to impress .... and impressed I WAS!

That smirk on McCain's face

I am so sick of seeing shots of McCain standing there smirking like an idiot while Dr. Paul speaks. I wish RP would turn to him and say something like, "John, you and I clearly disagree on this issue, but at least I have the courtesy to show some respect and not stand there smirking like a 10 year old boy while you're speaking." Inject some humor, take the high road, and make a point that he's above these guys.

I feel ya

I want him to give it back to them too

People don't listen

The Fox Faithful wait to hear what Hannity or O'Reilly think before they form an opinion. Those are the ones who have to do a 180 before they can support Paul (not impossible, but unlikely)..

There were people tuned in last night who don't always watch Fox, though. I'm wondering how transparent the hit job was. My biggest worry is that, even if they could see through it, human nature is so suggestible that all the negative body language Fox showcased will be the only thing they remember about Ron Paul.

Defend Liberty!

RP's Comercial "This is what they are calling a kook"...OWN IT!

So play off it, use it, own it, takes the impact out of the word!

"This is what is kooky..."

"As kooky goes, this is as good as it gets..."

"Kooky is as kooky does...

"Kooky to telling the people the truth in stead of pretending these major issues don't exist?"

"Kooky spending a trillion dollars for wars and loosing 1000 lives in 2007?"

"Kooky warning of the demise of the dollar?"

You get the idea - USE THE WORD - TAKE OWNERSHIP - GIVE IT A GOOD MEANING!!!

YES!!

There was an advertising person on the forum a month or so ago who said the same thing...and it is a brilliant idea. Take the negative "kook" label and turn it around to stand for the only SANE one running!

The other poster (sorry, I forgot who it was) also said to show average Americans that support Ron Paul to say something like "We support Ron Paul and we aren't kooks. We are veterans, homemakers, teachers, etc."

This is what people must see. RP supporters that are neighbors and countrymen. And it can't happen too soon, IMO.

I like

this idea.

Some of you guys must have

Some of you guys must have been watching a different debate, because I don't think they succeeded AT ALL in making our candidate look silly. In fact, he made THEM look absolutely ridiculous!

Anyone who actually LISTENED to what was said would have to agree with me. I thought that this was Dr. Paul's best performance so far, and I'm sure that we gained new support last night - at least from people who actually THINK and LISTEN. This is how I became a Ron Paul supporter. Reality is hard to swallow at first, but it does eventually.

And Romney winning the text vote....? That's impossible - at least without cheating. It proves that these guys are willing to do anything to not lose - and that's a very scary thought.

corrupt

As Dennis Green would say. "They were who we thought they were" LOL

Luntz's group did not sound

like they were from SC. I'm from NC and I have a good ear for dialects - these people sounded like Yankees! Didn't Luntz just get caught with a plant in two different audiences? I wonder how many of his little group were actually from SC and how many were brought in? I thought it was weird how they all liked Thompson and thought Dr. Paul did the worst. All this conspiracy stuff is making me paranoid.

The image I get..

Is that of a schoolyard....

You add your own beyond that...

Hopefully America's love for

Hopefully America's love for underdogs will come into play.

only the delegates for three SMALL states have been decided so far; additionally, as people have exclaimed elsewhere, Hillary TIED Obama (for delegates) in New Hampshire-- i.e. Hillary didn't win; and MIke Huckabee currently has more delegates than McCain since Iowa, which has more delegates at stake, gave Huckabee a lot of them.

please remember: the MSM is full of hype!

The Hype

is what scares me

Here's what a lot of people thought about the debate...
