Conservatives gather to protest ‘undeclared wars’

Yesterday, conservatives gathered in Charlotte, NC to protest unconstitutional and undeclared wars. The protest, which had close to 250 people at the height of the rally, was met with positive coverage by the media.

Wounded soldiers, politicians and local preachers were among the crowd aiming to educate the public, said organizer Daniel Rufty. Though the event targeted conservative Republicans, it was open to anyone.

“We are trying to put pressure on our representatives,” Rufty said. “The goal is to bring soldiers back from the war. ...We’re not against war, we’re against undeclared wars.”

Rufty defined an undeclared war as a conflict that lacks a formal declaration of war by Congress. He uses the United States’ wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as involvement in Libya, as examples of conflicts fought without declarations being issued.

World War II was the last time the U.S. issued a formal declaration of war.

No more wars

For zionist jews in Israel! No more wars for heroin and corporations!

The zionist must not be allowed to drag us into another war!

My parents supported

the Iraq War because they didn't understand it just as I didn't. Both my parents are non-intervrtionist Conservatives and were at the time, but, because of poor information from "Conservative" sources, we all thought that we were going into Iraq to root out Al Qaeda. Like most good Republicans, liberals opposed it, so we supported it. Not finding the WMDs and seeing the Republican Party get its teeth kicked in in 2008 was more than enough to make us realize what we had known sub-consciously all along - Dubya and his unilateral, globalist "war on terror" had taken us in hook, line, and sinker. I'm sure there are about a million more out there like us.

Well then...

"We’re not against war..."

The above "we" does not include me. Who cares if congress declares war? That makes it okay? War is collectivist stupidity at it's finest. Any individualist knows that we don't need Congress to tell us when we have to defend ourselves. It's human nature...no government necessary.

Upon hearing of protest over the healthcare bill Obama proclaimed:

"And that slave who knew his master's will and did not get ready or act in accord with his will, will receive many lashes."

My bad...that's actually Luke 12:47.

A start

Indeed, if conservatives were there. There are far to few conservatives like Pat Buchanan who are against undeclared wars and acting as policeman of the world.

More to come

This event was the start. It was to organize our efforts and start to put some serious pressure on the representatives here in NC. Liberty is close. We need to press forward.

For Liberty!

Now thats good ink

That's positive coverage of "the movement". How accurate is that attendance number of "close to 250 people"? I figured at least 500 people would've turned out to protest unconstitutional war. The other 250 probably stayed home because Gary Johnson was gonna be there. lol

"We are trying to put pressure on our representatives,” Rufty said. “The goal is to bring soldiers back from the war."

And a giant crack appears in

And a giant crack appears in the foundation of the military industrial complex. Good God finally.

As soon as Obamas gone

It will all go back to " we gotsa get dem dang old dirty mooslims yall". All the while Americans stay ignorant and oblivious to the zionist jew threat to their country and rights. The zionazis in Israel would love to have another hard charging neocon warhawk back in office. While the jews support Obama, he is just too soft for them. They need a killer. At least 1 million more poor arabs killed.

I just have to wonder how

I just have to wonder how many of these people thought undeclared war was okay when the guy who did it had an (R) next to his name. Cynical, I know.

Hmmmm

"We're not against war, we're against undeclared wars." Guess they really are conservatives.

Great to see this on the Front Page

The event was great and thanks to everyone who made it happen!

I am glad to see people

I am glad to see people coming out against this. I hope many more care. Seems something (fluoride?) is just making a lot of people too complacent.
I have talked to a LOT of people who do not care one whit if the government knows all about them. I know we fought Nixon like MAD when he wanted everyone on a "list" and now Obamacare does it in one fell swoop. ANYTHING against our Constitution should be protested in droves!

Even though the liberal media

Even though the liberal media misreported our numbers, I'm glad they wrote a positive story about conservative protesters. It was a great event with Gary Johnson, TMOT and Jordan Page.
