Gary Johnson Letter to Congress: Audit the Fed

This morning, Gov. Gary Johnson emailed every Member of the House of Representatives, urging them to vote YES on Congressman Ron Paul’s Federal Reserve Transparency Act, better known as “Audit the Fed.”

Thank you Gary Johnson.

More proof Johnson is no friend of Liberty....

Besides being the king of flip flopping on issues such as the FED and others....Gary also has some very obvious neo-con leanings. This makes perfect sense because his top policy guru while he was GOV is now CFR leadership. Gary is clearly a lightweight. See the following from antiwar.com.

http://antiwar.com/blog/2012/04/12/gary-johnson-libertarian-...

He says he supports U.S. military intervention in Uganda

He may continue drone strikes in Pakistan

He would keep US bases in Afghanistan and throughout the Middle East

He supports foreign intervention for "humanitarian" reasons

Add these things to the long list of reasons NOT to support Johnson.

Trevor, if you think you're helping GJ

by posting all these threads, you're not.

Furthermore, that is ALL YOU EVER POST ABOUT, which really isn't in the spirit of the community here, because it demonstrates that all you're doing is pushing an agenda. If all you want to do is push an agenda, then you can buy an ad. But if you persist in this kind of behavior, I'm afraid I'm going to have to kick you off the site.

Your decision.

I'd like to see Gary Johnson in the debates too. But you're not being respectful of the community.

p.s.

After I realized who you were "Trevor Darden," the ninth reincarnation of a Johnson troll we banned eight times before, I had to let you go.

Can you please do us all a favor and just not come back?

Is your mission to damage GJ's reputation among Paul supporters? Because that is what you're doing.

Quit trying to highjack the Daily Paul

with Gary Johnson, time to start a GJ forum!

Glad to See Gary Johnson Supports Audit the Fed

I am glad we will have someone on the ballot to vote for in November for President who wants to audit the Fed and abolish it.

That is only true....

If you believe Johnson's flip flops are genuine. I happen to be suspect of his motives.

Ron Paul 2012 - It's Almost Here!

I think he's simply being

I think he's simply being realistic. Congress may vote to audit the Fed, there's no way in hell they are going to vote to end it. Not unless we can get rid of a lot of Democrat lawyers in the Senate.

Well...

There is far more of chance that congress will vote to end the Fed than of Gary Johnson ever getting more than even half of a percent in a presidential election. :)

Ron Paul 2012 - It's Almost Here!

That would still be 10 times

That would still be 10 times what Ron Paul got in 2008, now wouldn't it? :^D

See.....

You just won a few more votes for Gary. Nice Job. LOL

Ron Paul 2012 - It's Almost Here!

I'll get the important ones.

I'll get the important ones. The people that look at the man, not what you say about him.

More Gary double speak....

This is just another attempt by Johnson to gain some traction from something Ron Paul has done. GJ is clearly clueless when it comes to economics. He wants fed transparency, but thinks the FED should remain in tact. Thanks for pointing out, yet another example, of how Johnson is just a lightweight poser...And not even a good poser.

Johnson's statements about KEEPING the FED can be found here...

Ron Paul 2012 - It's Almost Here!

He said he would abolish the Fed

Exactly...

Johnson may own more pairs of flip flops than Mitt Romney.

Ron Paul 2012 - It's Almost Here!

His policy has always been

His policy has always been consistent.

His own personal opinion is that the Fed needs more oversight and somewhat defanged.

But he has always said that he will sign a bill ending it as well if that is what Congress gives him.

Shall we review Ron Paul's flip flops? Flag burning. Earmarks. Border fences. Gay marriage. Evolution.

What is Ron Paul's views on Zion these days? How about black people? What about AIDS?

Thanks for clearing that up for me........

Gary is awesome candidate because you think Ron is a racist.

You do realize you are winning no votes for Gary with that ass backwards logic, and in fact are probably pushing people very far away. Keep it up! :)

Ron Paul 2012 - It's Almost Here!

Eh, not like a KKK style

Eh, not like a KKK style racist, i just think he has kind of Archie Bunker style views because of his age.

And I think he's probably evolved out of it, in the same way Gary has evolved towards the idea of ending the Fed.

The problem with ending the Fed is that it's a HUGE deal and could have some great consequences, or some awful, destructive ones. We don't know. How it is ended would be extremely important. It would be like taking the economy off heroin. Gary is FAR more focused on balancing the budget and basically doing HIS job. Ending the Fed is NOT his job. His job would be to sign or veto, period. Same as President Paul. He has said he will sign it. I don't think he ever considered the idea that Congress would ever present the bill. That is about as small as Ron Paul getting the nomination for President.

If you want to make up fake differences, go for it, I'll toss in a few real ones.

Read the interview please

MR: Your have said that we should audit the Federal Reserve and curtail many of its activities. Do you think it would be bad to end the Fed immediately?

GJ: No, I would sign on to abolishing the Federal Reserve. If Congress passed a bill saying, “Abolish the Federal Reserve,” Gary Johnson signature, President of the United States. Abolish the Federal Reserve.

I understand....

He has changed his position (flip flopped) yet again and on yet another issue. I do not trust this guy and I don't think even he knows what he believes from one day to the next. His flip flop collection has even Mitt beat.

Ron Paul 2012 - It's Almost Here!

he always held the same position

Audit and then abolish.
Just as RP.

So do you call RP flip flopper as well?

Look up all the RP interviews from the last few years.

With all due respect...

You just simply do not know what you are talking about. Johnson said in late 2011 that he supported KEEPING THE FED. Link Provided: http://www.thepoliticalguide.com/Profiles/Governor/New_Mexic...

Ron has not ever held that position.

So the answer to your question is NO! I am not calling Ron a flip flopper, rather I am pointing out that this is another, of many, areas where Johnson has flipped and then flopped.

I trust Ron completely...I do not trust and have no faith in Gary Johnson for a vast multitude of reasons, not the least of which are his inconsistent statements about the Fed among other things.

Ron Paul 2012 - It's Almost Here!

Gary Johnson has said he will

Gary Johnson has said he will end the Fed if it reaches his desk. He has never said otherwise.

His personal opinion is one thing, but he what he will sign and veto are other things.

He is pro-choice for the most part, but signed a law banning late term abortions.

Because he understands that government isn't about extremist ideology

You were banned pretty fast from ron paul forums for your rude behavior. Why daily paul has not banned your ass yet is a mystery to me. all you ever do is campaign for Gary and insult RP and his supporters. my advice: if you want supporters, go outside and campaign. you wont get anywhere trolling on the interwebs

What's an "interweb"? Is

What's an "interweb"? Is that like a series of tubes?
