New idea for Money Bomb!: Read it and weep!Submitted by renegade republ... on Mon, 07/23/2012 - 18:47
Just some background for those who may not know me and so that you understand what has led me to this idea.
I am a 17 year old from Ohio, and I discovered Ron Paul and the liberty movement this election cycle. Being more interested in the finer points of Ron Paul's ideas, the reasoning per se behind the things he says in his speeches, I decided to read his book "The Revolution: A Manifesto".
Now, for those of you that have read this, you know that it's an amazing book for not just liberty lovers, but for anyone to read. It succinctly lays out Ron Paul's ideas, along with the factual and philospohpical backing that has led him to his beliefs. As I read it, especially the portion concerning the Federal Reserve, I was reminded of a quote by Henry Ford:
"It is well enough that people of the nation do not understand our banking and monetary system, for if they did, I believe there would be a revolution before tomorrow morning."
But isn't that what we're trying to do? Start a revolution? And the best way to do that is through our national delegates going to the RNC, and get Ron Paul nominated to be the Republican nominee. To do that, we need to explain to ALL of the delegates, especially the non-ron paul delegates, Ron Paul's ideas, and especially outline to them the dangers of the Federal Reserve. And what better way to do that then to read The Revolution: A Manifesto? What if we provided each delegate to the RNC with a free copy of Ron Paul's book to read before Tampa?
So, my money bomb idea is as followed, along with figures.
There are 4,576 total national delegates (counts alternate and regular)
A copy of "The Revolution: A Manifesto" is about $11 on Amazon
Throw in another $10 on average for shippings costs.
So each delegate would cost roughly $21.
4,576 x 21= 96096
So for less than $100k, we could educate ALL of the national delegates on the ideas of Ron Paul, AND give them a book they could share and recommend to their friends? What better way to spread the ideas of the revolution?
I think Ron Paul's ideas on "re-thinking" government, asking fundamental questions about what our government's role really should be, will appeal to a lot of Americans, including the delegates. And considering we have a support base that has shown itself capable of raising nearly a million dollars in a couple of days, 100k should be nothing out of reach.
However, I am young and unsure of how to organize or get this idea started. Is there anyone willing and able to get this idea off the ground and start up the Read it and Weep Money Bomb?
