Where are we now?

As a Ron Paul supporter since my Junior year in high school, I'm pretty used to feeling like I'm better informed than the rest of the public. I am well aware of the typical mainstream media bias against us, but I'm also aware of the conspiracists who like to blow things out of proportion. My question, quite simply, is WHAT IS GOING ON?!

Over the past month or so, even RP folks seem to disagree on what's actually happening. Some still think we can win the nomination, some thing we'll get a speaking slot, and some think we've lost and it's over.

I really just want to know, from a purely objective and unbiased standpoint, where do we currently stand?

Everyone may be working...

...in different directions. That isn't a bad thing as long as we stick together, not allowing our little differences get in the way of the strength we have had in the past year. Sticking together is VITAL!

I think

it's easy to be confused on what it happening right now since the primary season is pretty much over and now we are kind of just in limbo until Tampa. No one knows exactly what will happen in Tampa. Will Ron Paul take the nomination? How much of an impact will we have on the platform? To what lengths will Romney and the establishment GOP try to silence the movement? Will Paul even be allowed to speak at the convention? (it seems the answer is yes according to the rules, but who knows with the crooks were up against.) How many people will be at Paul fest? What kind of speech will Ron Paul give at his own rally? How will the media try to ignore the attraction to these events? If Romney is the nominee, will he reach out to the liberty movement, or just push us aside? (either way, Romney isn't to be trusted in my opinion). Obviously, there are so many questions and so many things that can happen.

Ron Paul will be on the

Ron Paul will be on the ballot in Tampa. We are short around 500 delegates to win the nomination. This means around 500 delegates supporting the other candidates will need to be converted between now and or at the convention. If Romney slips up badly he could cause this to happen all on his own. Example: If this Bain Capital mess spins out of control. When Ron Paul speaks in front of the convention he may convert enough. Many things can happen between now and the final vote in Tampa. Ron Paul promised to be in this until the votes are counted in Tampa and in it he is. It may be a long shot but, none the less it is a shot. Anyone who tells you he has no chance doesn't know what they are talking about. If Romney was to drop out for any reason Paul would be the last candidate standing.

The sad truth is...

that EVERYTHING you've ever known is a conspiracy. Your school, your church, university education... your dreams of college-spouse-kids-house with a white pickett fence...all of it is a scam. Try to wrap your head around the fact that our world is more like "The Matrix" than any of our imaginations can conjour. Even if you don't have a mortgage on your house, it isn't yours...read your deed, you are specifically described as "tennant"! This bank-owned life we've been living is an illusion.
Now, what can we do about it?!? The Liberty movement has tried to play by the rules...we go to our caucuses and shout, "POINT OF ORDER!" only to be beaten down with neocon agendas and occationally, police batons. Lawsuits don't work as the courts are bought and paid for by the PTB. Ron will get his 15 minutes come August, but if I had to wager, I'd say that the satellite uplink will have a 13 minute "technical difficulty" and the nation and the world will not hear The Message. Mittens will be corronated and the Regime will continue.
Again, what can we do about it? Amerika is all but lost...we're getting more and more drones in our skies, CISPA is on the table again, cameras on street corners more-and-more...there's no end to it! Our only hope is, perhaps, Freedom Zones...Sovereign Zones...call them what you will. To answer your original question of where we stand...My opinion is that we stand in a quagmire of conspiracy and corruption from ALL ANGLES!! The corrupt media will spin the truth into their truth and the Sheople will believe it...we have a very, very steep uphill climb to our goal.
As for me, I will continue to speak to as many strangers as I can get to listen...each and every day! This battle will be won by going "hand-to-hand" and combat the brainwashed minds one at a time.
Keep the faith, keep your eyes on the prize...and don't give up. David kicked Goliath's ass...and so can we!!

Silence isn't always golden....sometimes it's yellow.

We are many levels

We have a presidential candidate who has many fans, supporters and party members. The fans and supporters are not Republicans, they are not going to vote, vote for Gary Johnson, or write in Ron Paul's name. They have no idea what the campaign is doing because they did not join the GOP, which was the first thing Ron Paul asked all of us to do.

The next level are Republicans who are holding and running for elected offices. They are materializing Ron Paul's message on local and state levels.

There are Republicans who are campaigning, seeking appointments, and seated on GOP county and state committees/ GOP town councils, and they are busy voting out Neocon issues, candidates, and voting un, and making resolutions and putting on the agendas, Ron Paul's issues and Ron Paul Republican candidates.

There are Ron Paul CREDENTIALD delegates who are going to attend the Republican National convention to nominate Ron Paul for president.

There are non-credentialed delegates who have joined the Lawyers for Ron Paul lawsuit against the GOP, and we pray for them.

1. as far as the country we are broke and bankrupt. People no longer seem to know what those words mean or they ignore them, but is a fact we are bankrupt, and is only a matter of time.

2. Things in politics really are never what they seem. It would be impossible for anyone to know exactly what is going on behind the scenes, but I suspect we are entering a new era bigger then the industrial age and we will be losing our privacy because of the overwhelming quick acceptance of new technology. Meaning, THE TRUTH IS COMING like it or not.
Lack of privacy/secrecy, also can bring much needed truths.

3. As far as Ron Paul goes, he is not expecting to get the nomination.
He never did. Paul is the traditional type of "politician" that believes one should not seek office- but rather have a good enough message and moral, honest philosophies and this will put one where they are to be.. Sorta like a free market principle put to politics.
Paul does not force his nomination. He expects his supporters and his message to do this. If his message is strong enough and his support big enough he will enter the white house.
Ron Paul has never sought power or position. His supporters seek this for him, because we know he aims to give the power back- but does not seek it. It is a horrifying catch 22 that all supporters of Ron Paul must deal with.

"OH NO! He has a SON?" Neoconservatives and Liberals EVERYWHERE!

I'm at the point where...

I recognize complaining won't do us any good. The entire thing is in the hands of our delegates: we might be able to stop Romney's 1st round nomination but that'll require many of his delegates to be dissatisfied with his statements in his battle against Obama.

I'm at the point where I hope that we pull an upset by nominating our guy but I doubt, even with the most sympathetic media, that he can still win the nomination outright.

I'm at the point where I am campaigning for the Libertarian Party, because I don't like what's happening in the Republican Party. I'm still every bit as much a registered Republican but I recognize that I want the GOP to become far more Libertarian and that voting for Romney in a contest (New York) he cannot win is wasting my vote.

Where we stand

Some are enjoying their life, others are b[i]tching about it. The latter, in their mental anxiety, blame the popular scapegoats - the media, 5-6 banks, Zionists, Illuminati, etc. Some are obsessed with taking the political power via elections without understanding that for a free society to work CONSENSUS of the majority is needed. Because free society is not ruled by force and if majority disagrees, they will kick us out at the earliest election. We fight to promote our IDEAS.

Always remember how Ludwig von Mises agreed with Hume:
"Government always government of the many by the few. Power is therefore always ultimately on the side of the governed, and the governors have nothing to support them but opinion. This cognition, logically followed to its conclusion, completely changed the discussion concerning liberty. The mechanical and arithmetical point of view was abandoned. If public opinion is ultimately responsible
for the structure of government, it is also the agency that determines whether there is freedom or bondage. There is virtually only one factor that has the power to make people unfree—tyrannical public opinion. The struggle for freedom is ultimately not resistance to autocrats or oligarchs but resistance to the despotism of public opinion. It is not the struggle of the many against the few but of minorities—sometimes of a minority of but one man—against the majority. The worst and most dangerous form of absolutist rule is that of an intolerant majority. Such is the conclusion arrived at by Tocqueville and John Stuart Mill."

The hard pill to swallow is to admit that Ayn Rand's morality based on reason is the way to go. Old morality based on sacrificing a man to a society (collectivists) or to a holly spirit (religious folks) does not work. Man should not sacrifice himself to anyone.

We currently stand on complaining about stupid things

We complain about the lawsuit, we complain about Gary Johnson, we complain about Paulfest, we complain about Rand, blah blah blah. All worth less, if you ask me, when you think about how many people don't even know who to vote for on November 6th IN ADDITION to Ron Paul. Who are the other people you should be voting for? Do you know? I doubt it, because most people just share stories and don't actually DO anything constructive.

Maybe more people should share links like this to make themselves useful: http://www.dailypaul.com/245029/to-everyone-regarding-the-ge...

Where are we now?

We sir, are at the precipice of change. Now more than ever, Ron Paul's message has reached millions. The MSM is losing its influence. The left <---> right paradigm is fading. The time is now. And I truly believe this is our last chance. After this there is no turning back. Do we still have a chance? Yes. Things can happen before the convention. Romney may drop in the polls and his delegates may start to think twice. Romney's already on thin ice with all the shady crap he's been doing from state to state, and Lawyers 4 RP are working on their end. We haven't gotten to the convention yet, but at the very least, we know that we will be there with Ron Paul to make them remember for years to come, the day they fu*ked with Liberty. And the GOP will witness the dawning of the new generation of voters. Energized. Aware. Focused. This convention is just the beginning.

The campaign doesn't believe

The campaign doesn't believe they will have enough delegates. Also, RP's former campaign manager (Don Rasmussen?) states that RP has at most 100 stealth delegates top, with an optimistic max of 500 delegates. But it could possibly be in the 300. Rasmussen seemed pretty convincing.

Either way, it's best to assume that winning is still possible, even if chances look slim. The Romney campaign and the RNC will already do their best to suppress the RP delegates. No need for us to give them a helping hand by quitting. This will assure the maximum amount of delegates on the convention floor.

Because despite what others said, the real delegate numbers are still vague. Everyone has an opinion on how many he has. He will have a sizable force and some of them are bound to Romney. But they will still make their voices heard and their presence known.

I don't advocate violence, but I do want the GOP to start sweating bullets at the size of the RP delegates, even if we don't have enough to seal the deal. They can cheat, lie and bamboozle. But if in the end, despite all their shenanigans, we can manage a small army staring them down at the most controlled piece of theater the RNC has (which would be the convention), at the very least it must make them realize that their tactics will not hold us off indefinitely and that they are on borrowed time.

I'm sticking to

A lot can happen between now and Tampa.

Setting myself up for a letdown? Maybe.

Feel like I've been campaigning for 5 years. Don't think I'll ever stop. ;-)

One truth is Mitt Romney is

One truth is Mitt Romney is going to be the GOP nominee. Another truth is that Ron Paul has won. Dr. Paul didn't win the beauty contest to become the nominee, but HIS and OUR ideas of liberty, small government, and following the Constitution are winning.

Just go issue by issue and you will see that we now have a majority of Republicans who support Dr. Paul's positions over Romneys'.

Bailouts, monetary policy/FED, welfare state, the 10th amendment, cutting spending, reducing regulations, lowering taxes significantly, market healthcare/romney care, Internet freedom, the TSA, and NDAA. Ron Paul beats Romney on all of those positions with Republicans.

Romney still has more support on the Wars, the drug issue, and the patriot act, but those numbers are moving our way. The reason we lost the beauty contest is that the media was able to highlight Paul's stances that a majority of Republicans don't agree with currently. That and big money talks.

And if he's ready to run, we are ready to win the nomination with Rand in 2016.

"Where liberty is, there is my country." -Benjamin Franklin

You Are Here.

The absolute truth is that we are still in a fight for the presidency. (That we can win.)

I'm not saying I know that Paul has enough Delegates, I do not. But I am saying that if enough Supporters of Ron Paul JUST SHOW UP at the Sun Dome then the world's media will be there to report it and something will happen that we haven't been able to do before: Show the establishment that WE are the majority, and THEY are the minority.

If news outlets around the world start showing pictures of a million people at the sun dome, the US propaganda network will be forced to show them too, and then Romney people will be forced to realize that even Obomba couldn't even do as well, MUCH less R$.

At that point, if you are a R$, Gingrich, or Frothy delegate, and you truly want to see Obomba destroyed, how would you vote then? For the guy who can't draw a crowd, or the guy that just drew a fresh crowd of people larger than obomba ever did?

So it is very literally in OUR hands now. We should be campaigning harder than ever right now, not sitting back hoping the delegates have the numbers... That's passive. If we are passive we will likely lose.

We can win if we get a million bodies to the Sun Dome, period. Otherwise I feel all is lost already.

That's the Spirit. Just move on up, until the Victory

Doesn't the

Yeah...I'm not sure the Sun Dome is going to be able to seat everyone. Do they have another location to move to if they need more seating? I wonder if the fair grounds will hold more.

Yup. But Dr. Paul can Stand on Top of the damn thing...

There is plenty of room around the building.

I go into lots more depth on this here:

That's what I'm talkin about!!!!

In Minnesota...Ron Paul is a winner. Where i am, I stil have a lot of work though but I'm gaining ground. Nationally, nobody can say until Tampa. The truth is...nobody knows for sure. Everybody wants a definite answer but there is none. Just keep up the good fight. That is all.

This is where we're at Geogia.....

We still have a fight to win!

I'm not a conspiracy theorist, I'm just well-informed

We're at a crossroads

Sure it would be easy to give up and say Romney has it, because the media says so. But it isn't up to them, it's up to the delegates. If the delegates decide they want Ron Paul to be the nominee, then he will be the nominee. Ron Paul does have the 5 state minimum to be on the ballot at the RNC. This won't be "official" until the convention though (same with Romney as I understand it). Ron Paul has plenty of stealth delegates that nobody knows about, and depending on this number it will be easier/more difficult to get Ron Paul the nomination. If delegates who currently support Romney can be convinced to change their support, then the greater the chance of Paul having a majority at the convention, and thus the nomination, so it is important to keep shedding light on the truth about Romney and Paul.

Bottom line: It's all speculation until the convention. And at the convention, anything could happen.

I really appreciate the realistic snapshot of where we are. It's been a whirlwind lately.
