How Dr. Paul can still become POTUS

There really is still a chance my brothers & sisters; please hear me out!

The RNC's own site has confirmed that "Some 15,000 journalists from around the world will descend on Tampa to deliver intense coverage," and they'll very likely be at Paulfest and especially the Sun Dome event with Dr. Paul that immediately precedes the convention. I have no doubt that this is true. So if we succeed at the plan below, the world's media will get the message out and shame the national MSM into showing the truth to all Americans, especially the delegates in Tampa that week.

What Plan?

We show the world that we're the biggest political party, period.

Obomba's record turnout during campaign season 2008 was a mere 70,000 people. That's it. 70k, a number far smaller than we've already had show up in separate locations for Dr. Paul this year. -And that 70k was the largest campaign turnout for anyone running for POTUS, EVER.

If we can get enough people, I'd say 100k or better, to show up at the Sun Dome, then we really can still WIN the nomination. Here's why:

Romney has ZERO appeal as a person. You already know this... Everything about him is fake and his policies are not even republican. Therefore republicans and republican delegates are only voting for Romney for exactly one reason... He's their only chance to beat Obomba.

That's it, and that's all. And that's key...

We can take this one reason away from them at JUST the right time if we show them a crowd for Paul that is larger than any crowd Obomba ever got!

If we do that, and the international media captures it, the delegates, yes, even the Romney delegates, will see the news before they vote the next day... That Ron has a stronger following than Obomba himself!

So if you were a Romney delegate, voting for Mr. plastic to beat Obomba, and you learned that the other nominee ACTUALLY HAS LARGER CROWDS NOW THAN OBOMBA EVER COULD GET, who would you vote for?

We'll get HORDES of Romney delegates jumping ship for Dr. Paul.

Perhaps All of them!

So the game is simple: We MUST get 100k or more people to the Sun Dome!

100k is Totally possible. In fact a MILLION people may be possible, given the serious devotion to Dr. Paul we all feel.

We know that far more than 100k read this site alone, so we know it's possible. There are 2-5 MILLION Americans (or more!) who would honestly like to help Dr. Paul become president... So it shouldn't be too hard to do if we work out two tiny logistical problems...

Problem #1: Accommodations in Tampa.

This is the worst one, I don't know if there are enough hotels within driving distance to make this possible but hotels aren't the only solution. Campgrounds, Youth Hostels, (Especially in nearby Orlando) and private residences via craigslist or other online search should be able to fill this many gaps.

We may be able to get a bulk rate for certain hotel chains if we book the numbers in advance. Overall it still will be difficult, so a chip-in for those who can't afford to come otherwise would be wise.

Problem #2: Transportation.

Carpooling patriots is the best way to go, just fill up your car with all of your patriotic friends and split the gas money all the way down... It's totally worth it and fun, too. The site ERideshare.com can fill up your empty seats with even more patriots.

No patriotic friends near you at all? The Ronvoys are a great idea, but we'd need to ramp those up. Moar please. Even then though, the patriots out on the left coast are too far away from Tampa for either of these methods to be practical, so they'd need to fly. (And we've seen some HUGE turnouts for Honest Ron out there, haven't we?)

That'll be more expensive for sure and perhaps we'd need a chip-in towards their flights... We could even get a bulk rate from each big city over 1,000 miles away if we get busy and play it right.

But that's it! Just 2 roadblocks that we as a collective are able to easily overcome if we work together.

If both of these problems are met by an organized assault like we did with our phone bank program, Ron Paul WILL BE THE NEXT POTUS, PERIOD.

We can do this patriots. We've worked harder than this before, we can do this much now!

Action plan time:

Does anyone know who has been running the RP2012 Phone banks? We need to get them to shift gears and make the message now to bring bodies to the Sun Dome at all costs. If you are involved with the phone bank program, we need to you step up right now and work on this new assignment!

Are there any travel agents here know how to get bulk rates on hotels and airfare? Step up! This could be the key!

Any reputable patriots here know how to run chip-ins? We'll need a great-looking funding source for both the airfare and accommodation projects.

Everyone else; Send all other patriots to this page! They need to know how to get Dr. Paul into the white house, and what they can do. Twitter this, Facebook it, email it around; you'll help more than you think you can, I promise.

Don't give up, people! Not now... We're so close to winning our freedom! If we can only fill up that event... We win.

One last project... You can do this, think about what is at stake & JUST TAKE ACTION, PATRIOT.

See you in Tampa!

Did anyone else see what happened?

Thought I'd update this thread for future generations to drop their jaws over...

This plan fell through for one particular reason: Hurricane Issac.

The Mainstream Media Reported that Hurricane Issac, which is at this moment pummeling New Orleans, was headed directly for Tampa... So nobody showed up thinking they would be standing outside in a hurricane.

Props to the GOP for taking advantage of a natural disaster to defeat this plan. Very clever. Next time I'm not going to write one down, it'll have to be a whisper campaign!

The Blues Brothers, Marriage - And Ron Paul

I was going to let "everyone else" represent me in Tampa, right?

So, yesterday I get a call from a pal of mine, from Political Science class many years back - who is finally going to marry his sweetheart - from that class also.

He tells me he isn't into the stripper popping out of the cake sort of thing - so his best man is taking him to Tampa to cheer Ron Paul on - for his Bachelor party! C'mon, how cool is THAT?!!

I guess if I have to sleep in my truck - so be it. I'm in. As Elwood and Jake said, with a slight modification, "Elwood: It's a hundred and six miles to Tampa, we've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark, and we're wearing sunglasses. Jake: Hit it."

Personally, I'm praying for a lightning strike or bus accident, or a meteor.

And for people like "ecard" who run immediately to the moderators like a Democrat looking for another law - I'M JOKING

For one thing, I'm an atheist.

For another, if you can't joke about a politician getting run over a bus, I guess that joke is completely off the table.

For another, that literally is Ron Paul's only hope for being President, so you might actually consider the prayer route.

It's also ACTUALLY a possibility. The odds are about 1/3000 that he will get struck down in an accident or heart attack, but significantly less than this that the delegate strategy will work. So I'd get behind the "Mitt has an accident" train if you want to start sounding sane or logical.

And don't go around telling me you've never thought about how wonderful it would be for the country if a meteor hit the Capitol building with all of Congress in session.

Update 2 - No, ecard, they didn't talk to me, maybe they forgot or MAYBE they just think you're hyper sensitive and need to chill out. There are 188 instances of "hit by a bus" on DP and over 1000 comments about someone getting struck by lightning.

So, to repeat one of my favorite movie sayings - Lighten up, Francis.

And stop being such a whiney liberal baby. Sheesh. Grow up. Liberty is serious business. You can't even handle a joke. You'd fold like a lawn chair if you ever experienced actual freedom because people would bother you all the time. Go back to the Democrat Party where you will be coddled.

Sun Dome capacity is 10,400 bodies

There will be an awful lot of disappointed supporters who can't get in. Fire codes won't allow and overage.

Since the RNC supposedly "released" this venue for Dr. Paul, it was probably intentional to limit the impact of a huge turnout.

Numbers are very important!

As is (and is part of) convincing Delegates to alter their vote on the first ballot to Ron Paul.

On the issue of accommodations:

For those that can or have to, prepare to stay in your vehicle; Even if it is Rented (probably cheaper than a hotel anyway).

This will also allow you to be more mobile.

Pack for the duration - 4-5 days if attending the PAUL FEST, food, plenty of water and beverages for you and in an emergency others (shoulder bag to carry it all); chairs, cots, inflatable bed (12v air pump), tent, ice chests; hat/or something to shield from rain or sun.

Buying from the local "low cost" grocery store before you leave will stretch your dollar.

Binoculars will give you a front row seat from the back row.

Video and phone camera's will allow you a memorable replay later; AS WELL as capture important non reported events for YouTube Later... Extra Batteries, Download cords, device Chargers and DV or other extra storage.

BICYCLES are another way to avoid traffic on your stay and increase your mobility. Strap them on top or on the bumper! ...Air pump & tire patches are a good idea.

I read another article today that

has me convinced that our votes are meaningless. TPTB have been selecting our presidents since at least after JFK. At best they don't care which puppet wins...at worst...they already know who will be in the whitehouse in 2013.

To me there is only one way to get Dr Paul elected and that's with a MASSIVE crowd in Tampa.

I still have personal reservations about the holy hell mess and direction that this country and the global economy are headed being dumped on President Paul. There is zero chance of us making it through the next 12 months without a MAJOR economic crisis.

If we do it the Austrian way we will suffer for 2 years and then can begin to see some positive growth. If we keep kicking the can down the road via the fed, we will look just like Japan. Japan has been printing money for over 20 years trying to jumpstart their economy....without any improvement. I DO NOT want my 21 year old daughter stuck with this system and this economic stagnation for the next 20+ years.

May Ben Bernanke have a paralysing stroke that keeps him from being able to go online to the TBTF banks and businesses and typing 100's of millions of dollars into their accounts FOR FREE!

Can you imagine logging on to your bank account and the account balance field being editable?....so you could type in whatever you wanted? That is NO LONGER a stretch of the imagination...that's exactly how they transfer the bail out money, .25% loan money, or probably if they just call the FED and ask nicely for some more money.

And of course proper accounting requires an offsetting account in the exact dollar amount that you created for yourself out of thin air so, just use that ever faithful US DEBT account to charge the billions to. Steal our money and then force us at the point of a gun to pay back what was stolen. Why would any of get upset now that we know they are doing that BS?

We NEED Polls!!! That is a must to sway delegates!! Proof we can do better than Romney against Obama!

Agreed! We need this poll.

We only need to inform 600 people(delegates). This poll is $1800 away from completing the Aug 1st ChipIn total of $2500 for 1000 people polled by Rasmussen. Let's get the numbers ourselves, we are the only ones left polling Ron Paul vs. Obama. Please join this campaign.

Sounds like a seperate mission though...

Not that they wouldn't help, but polls are something that haven't worked thus far and aren't likely to be enough to tip the balance in Tampa.

Showing the delegates 100,000 people outside their building on Live TV IS.

Let's not get distracted here. It's still a MAJOR effort to keep all the Paulites focused on one task at all. Let's make that getting to Tampa. Agreed?

Thats because the polls that mattered in the begining AnCapAnon

were blacked out by the media and by tthe MSM and wikipedia users (Romney Operatives?) themselves. We did not use this to our full advantage. I tried.

Ron Paul 2012

I found these poll results on facebook and after investigation felt that they were so important in telling the true story of how Americans are voting overwhelmingly across America I had to share them.

We all know that most polls we see in the media are paid for with questions geared ala Frank Luntz to produce the results wanted.

Well these are telling a much truer picture I believe. Please share them as part of your activism in helping to get Ron Paul the nomination and Presidency.

Taken from wikipedia.

These GOP straw polls were always the gauge of a candidates STRENGTH and SUPPORT historically in both parties but now with Ron Paul dominating them they are brushed off and not really mentioned in the MSM and certainly not a total number of wins for each candidate.

Here is the factual truth. All documented with newslinks at the bottom of the wiki page.

These are the Ron Paul straw poll results the media won't talk about:
(Paul has taken 1st Place in approximately 50% of all GOP Sponsored Polls So Far)

Total Straw Poll Results shows who the real winner is.Wikipedia actually had a running total in the beginning and when it showed Paul dominating early on they removed that. "We must remember, elections are short-term efforts. Revolutions are long-term projects." ~ Ron Paul

No one is arguing that, but what changes this time?

Let's say you got a solid poll that shows R$ can't beat Obomba but Paul beats him by an unstoppable margin.

What then?

You just show some people? Make a bunch of blog posts? Lulz.

The world will never know about it. Just like the first time.

We dont need any poll this needs to be put in all delegates

hands in Tampa. This will change the game and cause a delegate revolt and Ron Paul will win the nomination.

This proves the truth that delegates are never bound and can vote for ANYONE 1st round contrary to any State Party Rules. Anyone that says any different is a liar. The reason this came up was Nancy Lord was trying to find out in 2008 if a McCain "bound" delegate could vote his conscience and vote for Mitt Romney. He was allowed to. This is the most recent occasion but this has happened in the past also.It is precedent. There are no RNC Rules that bind anyone. It is a shame that this has not made this the FOCAL POINT to win Ron Paul the nomination and instead some have chosen to give up.

RNC Associate Counsel's Opinion on Rule 38 of the RNC Rules barring the "unit rule"

DATE: AUG 20, 2008

This Memorandum is based on your request to examine the Republican Party Rules history
relating to the so-called “Unit Rule” provision currently found at Rule 38 which states, “No
delegate or alternate delegate shall be bound by any attempt of any state or congressional district
to impose the unit rule”.

This language was initially adopted at the 1964 Republican National Convention, paraphrasing
the words of the proponent of the amendment, in order to codify in party rules the actual practice
followed in past conventions, namely to allow delegates to vote as they chose even if state law
bound them to vote for a specific candidate.

This amendment which modified then Rule 18(a) was initiated by the RNC Rules Committee and
adopted by the full RNC at its pre-convention meeting. That ’64 language stated, “No Delegate
or Alternate shall be bound by any attempt of any State or Congressional District, the District of
Columbia, Puerto Rico or the Virgin Islands to impose the unit rule.” Based upon a review of the
transcripts of the RNC debate on the “Unit Rule”, proponents of the ’64 amendment argued that
their amendment to Rule 18 merely reflected current practice and adopting this Rules change
would simply memorialize what was the historical Convention practice, not create a new policy.

During the debate on the “Unit Rule” amendment, there was some concern raised that the new
language would be interpreted by some to prohibit the individual states from adopting rules
that would bind or allocate delegates to specific candidates. The proponents, however, gave
assurances that it was not their intention to effect any “legal or “moral” obligation of the delegates.
Based upon the concern raised that this provision would be erroneously read to prohibit states to
bind or allocate delegates a concerted effort was made to defeat the amendment. That effort to
reject the addition of the new “Unit Rule” language based on that concern, failed, 59 to 41.

In 1976 the no “Unit Rule” language was modified by the RNC Rules Committee, effectively
requiring the 1976 Convention to record delegate votes based on the results of “any binding
Presidential Primary or direct election of delegates bound or pledged pursuant to state law.” The
Convention Rules Committee and the Convention itself accepted this RNC modification without
any debate. The additional Rule 18(a) language applicable to the 1976 Republican Convention
read as follows, “…however, that in any event, the vote of each state for the nomination for
President shall be announced and recorded (or in the absence of an announcement shall be
recorded) in accordance with the results of any binding Presidential Primary or direct election of
delegates bound or pledged pursuant to state law. No delegate or alternate shall be bound by any
attempt of any state or Congressional district to impose the unit rule.”

The ’76 language was deleted in 1980 effectively reverting back to the 1964 language and the
current language regarding the “Unit Rule” now found in Rule 38 is consistent with the 1980

Dear Blake and Sean,

Thank you so much for the memorandum [above] regarding the history of the Rule 38.

After studying it, I still have unanswered questions.

From the memo, I am clear that:

1. Rule 38 was not intended "to prohibit the individual states from adopting rules that would bind or allocate delegates to specific candidates".

What I need clarified is the following:

1. Do the RNC Rules require a state's delegation to follow its state laws or state party rules in the matter of binding of their national delegates to vote for a particular candidate? (I believe the answer is no; the RNC Rules are silent on this issue. My understanding is that any “legal" or “moral” obligation of the delegates, under either state law or state party rules, is simply that -- a state party matter. The RNC will not get involved in any such issue unless it deems that there is a violation of Rule 38 - an attempt to invoke the "Unit Rule" - during the time of the national convention.)

2. Do the RNC Rules prohibit a state party from changing its rules regarding the binding of their national delegates after the 2nd Tuesday in the September the year before the convention but before the national convention begins? (I believe the answer is no - the RNC Rules are again silent on this issue.)

3. Do the RNC Rules allow a national delegate to cast their vote for anyone they choose at the national convention, regardless of any vote-binding rules in their state or regardless of whether or not that "candidate" has been officially nominated under the RNC "majority of delegates from five states" rule? (I believe the answer is yes. I cite the actual rolling roll call of the states vote in 2000 as an example. In several states, even though George W. Bush had for many months been the presumptive nominee, several states, including Arkansas (19 for Bush, 5 for Alan Keyes) in the 2nd session on Monday evening, Massachusetts (35 for Bush, 1 for McCain, and 1 abstention) in the 3rd session on Tuesday evening,

4. Is the process of the "rolling roll call of the states" the process by which it is determined which candidates have met the RNC "majority of delegates from five states" rule in order to have their name officially placed in nomination? In other words, or as a corollary, do only those candidates who receive a "majority of delegates from five states" votes during the "rolling roll call of the states" become an official nominee, while any candidates receiving votes who did not receive the required majority of five states' votes simply fall to the floor, having not met the threshold?

Is there any way that you can clarify the answers to these questions in writing before tomorrow morning?

Subject: RE: The Unit Rule

Mrs. Lord:
I am going to attempt to clearly answer your questions as listed below.

1. You are correct - the answer is no. The national convention allows delegates to vote for the individual of their choice, regardless of whether the person's name is officially placed into nomination or not.

2. National Party Rule No. 15(e) does prohibit State Parties from changing their delegate selection and allocation process that the State Party had to submit to the RNC no later than Sept. 4, 2007. However, the time frame for submitting a challenge to the national convention delegation based upon these Rules has expired, as any delegate contests had to be filed by August 2, 2008.

3. Yes - see #1 above.

4. Your question is mixing two separate issues. The first issue involves the nominating process, which requires the majority of delegates from five states to put a candidate's name into the official nominating process. The delegates from these five states must sign a nominating form that is then submitted to the Secretary of the Republican National Convention. After the Secretary receives these forms, the candidates are announced who have been officially placed into the nominating process and are therefore eligible to accumulate votes from the national convention delegates.

The Rules require that a roll call be taken from each state who announces the number of votes that its delegates cast for any eligible candidates, as well as for any person someone would like to cast a vote for in the roll call. You are correct that a person does not have to be officially nominated in order to receive votes, however, this vote is essentially pointless as it will not count towards the official tally.

Therefore to clarify, a candidate must receive the support of the majority of five state delegations in order to be officially placed into the nomination. Only candidates that have been officially nominated can accumulate votes that will count towards the majority of delegates necessary to officially nominate the Republican nominee for President. The Republican nominee for President must receive at least 1191 votes from the national convention delegation in order to receive the official nomination.

Please let me know if you have additional questions or need further clarifications related to this process.

Listen, this man seriously has over 4 million supporters worldwide (called his #FreedomTeam) of the Federal Ron Paul National Delegates Case on Twitter!!!! Can anybody say “Swing States Victory Party”?
When Dr. Gilbert has an important message, he just sends out a tweet, and we jump into action like nobody's business, burning-up the servers at Twitter HQ as we re-tweet the Info, the Intel, and the Instructions, to non-pacifist Liberty-lovers on all 7 continents!
For example, if he tweets:

“Show up in Little Rock, Arkansas-vote "Gilbert/Paul"-& watch-out-Romney thugs spotted on South Pulaski & West 16th St.”

…then BOOM. Done. There would be at least 6000 armed voters there at the school in less than 25min.
This will give us the mission critical organizational advantage in November.

I love your comedy stylings...

But we are trying to do some big boy things in here donnie... Please GTFO.

This is where we separate the men from the "big boys"

This election we have to all be on the same page. Dr. Gilbert and the rest of us true Ron Paul supporters / #FreedomTeam will be making it happen. I suppose that you will be still be bad-mouthing people on this thread like the Anonymous Romney-troll you are, in between getting your diaper changed, and attending your:
online Anorexic Camp Counselors Anonymous meetings.

This shits hilarious, you are being sarcastic, right?
