To all the Monday morning quarterbacks

Until you've been under the spotlight, in a hostile environment, taking disrespectful questions from people who are employing every tatic known to man to trip you up, and you recieve 20 times the applause the attackers get:
Shut up!
Ron Paul was eloquent, graceful, forceful, and a moral man in a den of theives.
The only fault with Ron is that his age is starting to show, and they went for his balance. Ron handled them beautifully and the only way he would have done better if he could be 10 years younger.
Please lay off.

I just got on and sure enough...gossip as usual on here.
What they are doing only amounts to gossip.
They are the gossip squad for RP!
Absolutely no value added---only 3D distract, disparage, divide.
Cheering and Screaming
for Ron Paul in my living room last night was my highlight of the day. He did great, his answers were EXACTLY what needed to be said, I was very proud of our man Dr. Paul. I can imagine under all that pressure and the "wonderful" fox team that supports him, "oh so much", HA, that it could be a little hard to feel ganged up on. But to come through that and crank out some pretty great comebacks deserves to be noticed! Yes, of course he isn't the greatest public speaker, but when you actually speak the TRUTH, it takes a little bit longer and more thought! Rather than being the normal politician these days, saying, "We need CHANGE!"...well DUH, but HOW! He tells us what is wrong and what needs to be done to fix it. He is a great man and I was very proud of him last night, especially on his "non electable" response. Another thing to note, which makes me love him even more, he takes notes! The entire time Huckabee was pandering him on the war issue, he was making notes of what he was going to smash him on, he did great!
And on the issue of whether or not he should "practice" more for the debates...he doesn't need practice to speak the truth! Practice is what all the other candidates do to try and come up with their lame one-liners. Like Thompson having a list already made out of attacks on other candidates...SHUT UP, I don't want to hear your attack ads, I want to hear what you are going to do for this damn country!
Nice job rexmundi, we need to stop being so critical of our man Dr. Paul. We know he is the right one for the job, lets be positive and get him in that white house!
Amen to that rexmundi
If you are not offering your services in a serious way then as Rex has stated keep the comments to yourself. The spotlight is a tough place to be. I said I wanted to contact the official campaign because I sincerely feel I have some debate qualities that may be of assistance to our man. I'm a retired Police officer so I know a bit about being under pressure in a District or Federal Courtroom and i have studied demeanor and am pretty good at sensing what the good Dr. could concentrate on to assist him under these pressure situations.
Oh and for the record I think Dr. Paul did a wonderful job especially given the intensely hostile environment.
Warmest Regards

Well, it should be like football.
After each game, you review the films, and think of how you could have done better, and how you will do better the next time.
So this exercise is useful, but it would be much more useful if the campaign and Dr. Paul could somehow be made aware of it.
Unlike other candidates...
Unlike other candidates who spew memorized sound bytes, Ron's brain is actually functioning and formulating responses independant of external controls. If you look, you cant see any wires or strings attached. He is thinking on his feet. We all love Ron because he is a thinker.
I don't think the rest of the candidates combined have had one original thought since 9/11. They are so stuck on the neocon talking points that the only difference between them is the color of their tie.
Exactly
Theyre as convincing to so many Americans as script-angry pro wrestlers are to 11 yr old boys
His body language under pressure speaks volumes
He dosnt blush- because he knows he's not full of sh*t when they ridicule- they turned down his mike so he'd have to look like "eh what was that you said sonny?" - which was cheap - but really effective- he is an unassuming man who dosnt have an ego that needs to feed on his cheers OR jeers- anyone who saw the debate cant deny that they were watching a real honest person suffering fools - dont forget folks- he's NEVER been popular in the senate- and thats never mattered to him- he's been around the block - only this time Americans are watching- I just hope this time theyre listening.
here! here!
I agree. Ron Paul has carried this message for years (maybe longer than many of you have been out of diapers). He is doing awesome!
It appears that the real trolls are those pissing and moaning about his performance. Not only is it negative and unproductive. It is childish.
I Second That
Enough "Ron Paul could use me as debate coach."
If he did, he would hire you. He doesn't.
Right on
RP kicked arse last night. If anyone was watching last night who hadn't heard of him before they must have fell off their chair an yelled- where has this guy been all my life. Go Ron Go.
We must hang together, or surely we will hang separately
We must hang together, or surely we will hang separately
A-freakin'-MEN
It's so easy to say "he shouldn't have said this" or "he should've told him that" when your sitting back with a beer and a remote.
Collectivism is slavery.
Collectivism is slavery.
You're Clearly Upset...
...and it's okay. But realize Paul's faults and keep them in mind for after this campaign ends and we need to find a person to carry the message in the next election cycle. That person had best be better than Paul at answering questions in debates. He had also best be more moderate than Paul, because that's the other thing holding back Paul's votes.
A good candidate preaching a more publicly acceptable version of the message would draw FAR more votes.
uhhhmmm
That was a guy called Patrick J. Buchanan in 1996, and he was "hit" by the media as hard as Paul.
But one valid point would be if Ron Paul looked like Mitt Romney, the media's job to assinate him would be harder.
