Remember that as governor, he

Remember that as governor, he has saved the lives more of unborn children than Ron Paul has as a Representative by signing a late term abortion law. He could have vetoed it, but didn't.

Also, as President, it is not within his power to ban abortion. However he has said that he will only nominate conservative originalist justices that would likely look down upon RvW.

Therefore, while he is PERSONALLY pro-choice, he is still pragmatically an enemy of RvW and would be essentially identical to the result which would occur under Ron Paul or any other pro-life President. 20 years of conservative Presidents hasn't gotten rid of RvW.

However, if you are going for the symbolism and principle alone, I understand.

Why not?

He won't get Ron Paul's Republicans vote, but those who didn't get Ron Paul's message and are seeking to self gratify themself would do well sticking with red herring GJ.

He won't get the

He won't get the Neo/Socio-Con vote.

So you're saying that the Ron Paul Republican vote is different from the regular Ron Paul vote?

IOW, you are ADMITTING once again that the take over strategy coopts you and serves the Republicans.

This is another case of Porsche trying to buy VW and ending up in the belly of the beast.

Better to self gratify

then to practice self degradation supporting the lesser of two evils.. especially when one of the evils ( the one your gonna vote for) just handed you your ass on a platter... ;)

Self degradation?

That is not the feelings I'm experiencing, but quite the opposite.

As for the lesser of two eveils... Are you calling Ron Paul evil?

You Granger

have already stated you would vote for Romney if Paul is not the nominee....I am calling you evil.. ;)

Just because someone pursues a

different strategy than you does NOT make them evil. We all make compromised choices in this dictatorship and global holding cell. Desperation gives people energy for risky choices, and it is not your place to call another libertarian Evil; point your fire at those who truly are.

Wrong

This is NOT a strategy. It is a tried and FAILED strategy that makes no sense. Nothing more than a excuse to drop your convictions and principles to support the status quo and a sorry excuse at that . Anybody that would help put Romney in office is part of the problem NOT the solution. You want to compromise with these Tyrants? Join the Establishment Flea Party...you will feel right at home there.
We can see the leaps and bounds they have made by way of compromise...they got that Scott Brown Turncoat and Romney for a Nominee...LMAO WAKE UP FOOLS....

What choice do I have to do what Ron Paul asked ALL of us to do?

I'm on a committee that enables me to materialze Ron Paul's message (what are YOU doing to MATERIALIZE Ron Paul's message since it's NOT doing what Ron Paul asked?). My seat is already taking effect on making the stand and getting the votes against taxes and laws that entrap and imprison people.

Yes, I had to take an oath to have that seat, and that oath says I WILL go with the flow of the party line or be removed. So GJ, is not an option for me, IF I believe, and I do, that my seat will enable me to continue to work on incorporating Ron Paul's message for the next two years, and enable me to run as a candidate. Seems to me, in a nation of election fraud, my little vote means very little by comparison to my vote on a seat that represents 36K people.

But you, who knows so much more than Ron Paul, would rather demonize me than work to emancipate ALL Ron Paul republicans WHO ARE IN THE SAME BOAT (until elected into an office).

You are not standing with Ron Paul or Ron paul Republicans, but calling us evil. So please, tell me how YOU achieved your sainthood, and what good are YOU doing for your county and state, what laws and taxes are you influencing?

Me:
Library Tax NO
Laura's Law NO
Prop 32 NO

And you?

What have you stopped and how?

Teach me how to be a saint like you and morally correct while restoring America to constitutional government. I'm not afraid to be WRONG, as I'm willing to change. Go for it.

Show me

Show me where Ron Paul asked you to vote for Romney and quit trying to spin your web of BS on me Hack ! Your a sellout, simple as that and you go on and on trying to justify it....Mr. "Committeeman"lol
THEN when confronted about it you try and spin peoples posts out of context. You are the classic NeoCon Turd in the making ....

I hope you can understand

Ron Paul said, "Join the GOP, get on a central committee and become a delegate". This is what we needed to do to get to the national Republican convention to nominate Ron Paul for president. Ron Paul chose the GOP, not me.

After going to meetings, petititoning for ballot access, qualifying for a seat, we get a letter from the county clerk asking us to come in.

When you come in they have you sign three papers that if you do not sign, the deal is OFF, you don't get the seat, you don't get credentialed, you don't become a credentialed delegate, you don't get a chance to go to Tampa... so you have to sign it to do what Ron Paul askes, "become a credentialed delegate".

You sign an oath to the constitution.
You sign a loyalty oath to the party
you sign a 470 form saying you will commit no fraud

I signed. The chance to make Ron Paul president was worth it. For some people, it wasn't worth it, they refused to sign and went with the Lawyers for Ron Paul.

I became a credentialed delegate.

Romney won the race, so I will not go to Tampa.

Meanwhile, the neocons hope I'll just go away, and if I won't, they want a reason to eliminate me from my seat. They don't want Ron Paul Republicans stopping them or taking away THEIR POWER (seems you want to keep them in power by leaving them alone). I happen to know, none of them wanted Romney, they wanted Bachman, Perry and Newt, so they lost too.

They are all supporting Romney because he won, but they also know that Ron Paul did very well, and that bothers them. Our by laws are very specific about terms for removal.. YOU MUST STICK WITH PARTY NOMINATIONS.

Now that more Ron Paul Republicans are showing up to meetings to get seats, we can work to change those by laws, we can work to change the party, but we have to keep our seats.

They all know I'm a Ron Paul Republican. I have a Ron Paul key ring, and I still have a Ron Paul sticker on my car. I claim to be a Ron Paul Republican, always have been.. and that is not going to change, however, I and ALL Ron Paul Republicans, must make it clear to our party members, like Rand, we are flexible because we want to keep our seats, so we can incorporate Ron Paul's message and change the party.

This is why we say, IF Romney wins, (none of us actually want that), but if he wins and not Ron Paul, our votes will go to Romney for party unity. It's business, not belief.

This enables us to continue working to change the party from within. The more Ron Paul Republicans, the quicker we make those changes.

Finally, the name calling and insults you hurl at me, don't reflect who I am, but who you are. I learned a long time ago, "Insult when you are losing an argument".

I don't expect you to understand what I've written, though I hope you do, but if you can not, and all you have for me is insults and names calling, go vent somewhere else please. I'm doing what Ron Paul asked, and it came with strings attached and I'm not letting those strings stop me, nor your insults or name calling.

Have a good posting day.

This movement

will be fractured beyond repair and irrelevant if you help elect Romney for President. That's what you FAIL to understand. Without the movement there is no YOU after this election cycle. It will take YEARS to get back the unity we had 3 months ago, that's just the facts. You will not bring any change to the party with a weak and fractured grass roots movement and that is all your doing by helping to make Romney relevant.
The only loyalty you should have is to yourself and the movement. You "go along to get alongs" have been at this for decades and have gotten absolutely nowhere.
Your in the belly of the beast right now, try not to come out the other end a Big Floater.. Remember, the idea here was to flush the toilet!....Have a nice day....

"If ever time should come, when vain and aspiring men shall possess the highest seats in Government, our country will stand in need of its experienced patriots to prevent its ruin."
Samuel Adams

It's not a movement to me

"The movement" came about this year as those who didn't do what Ron Paul asked all of us to do, sought to legitimaize their self interest and self righteousness. It's a rEVOLution to me, and to Ron Paul who didn't say movement once in a speach yesterday, but said rEVOLtuion many times.

It's a rEVOLution, where we get into the GOP, that has lost it's way, and restore constitutional government.

Restoring constitutional government will be far more difficult under Obama. I believe many in, "the movement", actually want Obama, as they admit, and voting for GJ will help achieve that.

Romney would have folks like me to deal with, so of course Romney is still a better choice for LIBERTY, if Ron Paul does not get the nomination, which he could because there are far more Ron Paul Republicans in the rEVOLution, than "the movement" wants to credit.

Those who did not join the GOP, have promoted the LP, and Obama, are the ones working to fracture the rEVOLution with their movement. They will lose.

I am not an island, I have a goal, the goal Ron Paul gave me, and to get to that goal, I am making choices that you don't agree with, but yet, you didn't even try to do what Ron Paul asked.

For decades the US has been under attck by a third rail for a global government known as Neos.. Neocons in the GOP, and Neoliberals in the Democratic Party. We are facing the Neos while you marginalize yourself with lame excuses.

I will have a nice day, and hope you do as well.

To add to that..

you already exhibit the very quality's in politicians that have put us where we are today... By compromising your Morals, Integrity, Convictions and Principles ANYTHING, even voting for what you know is evil ALL under the false pretense that "little ol pushover you" keeping your seat is far more important...power hungry much ?

When you keep the movement strong there will be somebody there in the next election cycle to replace you when they are done chewing your ass up and dropping you out the back end... only AFTER you have compromised all your principles....

"If ever time should come, when vain and aspiring men shall possess the highest seats in Government, our country will stand in need of its experienced patriots to prevent its ruin."
Samuel Adams

Sorry Granger

You just don't want the facts. Getting Romney elected doesn't make a Revolution.Quite the opposite... Saying Romney is in ANY way a better choice for Liberty just proves my case.....Your messed up kid.....

"If ever time should come, when vain and aspiring men shall possess the highest seats in Government, our country will stand in need of its experienced patriots to prevent its ruin."

Says it all, doesn't it...

the ego and self-centeredness of that wannabe, sticking an 'L" behind his name and 'excpecting' the Ron Paul supporters to flock to him. How quickly he forgets he was a Republican. If he had any principles at all he would have dropped out and put his full weight (which aint much) behind Dr Paul's campaign. But he didn't do that, instead he chose to run against the good Dr. The man has no character in my book and will NEVER get my vote. I'm voting for principle so I can savor the sweet reflection of knowing my vote wasn't lost.

If Tyranny and Oppression come to this land, it will be in the guise of fighting a foreign enemy.
James Madison

I don't disagree, However

I believe we need more voices and choices REPRESENTING voters. GJ does an excellent job representing his supporters.

Lets face it, some folks would rather accept the GOP as it is, and some of us would rather actually join Ron Paul to change the GOP. They don't believe it's possible, we KNOW by experience that we are doing it.

So, let's respect the GJ voters and let them have their voice. They want to celebrate a Paul Fest with NO Ron Paul and cheer GJ? More power to them. It helps us indentify them for their values. Let them sleep and have their dreams, as we work to achieve our goals.

You said it stm

Anyone running a Presidential campaign that allows this to happen to try to distinguish that they are a better candidate than Paul is pure trash in my book.

Gary put this article on his official 2012 campaign website.

The Pragmatic Libertarian
http://www.thedaily.com/page/2011/04/28/042811-opinions-colu...

As we pleaded for the longest time what was done? He put it on his facebook page to boot complete with the word racist that was a hyperlink to this "newsletter expose" on Ron Paul. http://www.tnr.com/article/politics/angry-white-man

How soon you people forget.

And that was after Ron Paul endorsed Gary in 2011 before Ron entered the race. Gary has never apologized for this to my knowledge and I think it really hurt Ron that he would stoop that low to try to make himself appear a better candidate than Ron and providing links to the famed "racist newsletters" on his campaign website.

And that I surmise is why Jesse Benton stated unequivocally a few weeks ago that Ron will not endorse him.

November 6th 2012 I voted for Dr.Ron Paul

in all fairness

he might have been an R
a lot of people who support ron paul
changed to be an R just to vote for him
like me,i have never claimed a label
until here recently,so i could vote for him
deacon

If we deny truth before your very eyes, then the rest of what we have to say,is of little consequence

If Paul is not the nominee

I will vote for Johnson, if anything just to give that Romney POS and the soon to be irrelevant GOP a good slap in the face. No way i'm gonna sit back and watch a Fraud who, lied, cheated , stole, bullied and purchased his way to the top against the will of the people become POTUS... NO WAY the Romney made it to nominee status in the Conservative Party in this Tea Party election cycle... NO WAY !
These bastards cheated us out of a election so that alone to me makes Romney FAR worse than Obama..... Anybody but Romney for me....

I think what a very few here

I think what a very few here don't understand is that when he's saying he's going for the Ron Paul voters, he's not talking about the Ron Paul fanatics that will WIRP in 2012.

Because the .05% WIRP votes from 2008 really wouldn't even be enough to help him.

There are millions of Ron Paul voters, but only a few thousand WIRP voters.

Sorry, RonPaulRocks1. The grand majority of Ron Paul supporters (and even more that aren't) are going to see the specific choice between Obama, Romney and Johnson and know exactly what must be done. It won't even be a question.

Wishful thinking.

I'll not vote for Obama, Romney or Johnson.

Okay, that's your business,

Okay, that's your business, though it doesn't help the liberty movement even slightly.

OK, one more time

Let me explain it to you, perhaps a bit more succinctly. The so called "Ron Paul fanatics who will WIRP" are not content to vote for second best and view any attempt to sway their allegiance with deserved suspicion. We view anything other than voting for the best candidate as something that has brought this nation to it's knees and will no longer participate in the charade. This is the essence of the whole Ron Paul movement, he has been uncompromising throughout his career and he deserves no less from us. Whether history will show us wrong or right remains to be seen, however I can guarantee two things. 1. Win or lose we will be able to sleep at night knowing we made the most fitting decision for ourselves and the nation. 2. You are alienating more individuals who might have given Johnson a chance than you are converting to his cause by your constant proselytizing of Johnson's candidacy here. Giving dedicated Paul supporters an acronym such as you have paraphrased here is in many's view disrespectful.

And that's fine. I'm just

And that's fine. I'm just informing you that there are less than 50,000 of you as measured in 2008. With Gary in the race, you may find that there are a whole lot fewer.

You guys invented the term 'WIRP". I had to look it up.

"You guys"????

In my membership of over four years here I have never seen it used and do resent any type of connotation that tends to marginalize. You seem fixated upon 2008, as I stated before...that was then, this is now. Perhaps we should toss figures around of what Johnson was doing in 2008 to claim how he will do this year. I'm sure you would have a logical explanation of why it applies to Paul but not Johnson.

There are no politicians or bankers in foxholes.

You don't know the term

You don't know the term "Write In Ron Paul"?????

Okey dokey.

In 2008, Gary Johnson was doing everything in his power to help Ron Paul get elected.

As usual you are operating

upon an erroneous assumption. I am very proficient at figuring out acronyms. My statement was that I had never seen that particular one utilized here and become a bit thin skinned when I realize someone is using some thing of that sort to degrade a group with which they have issues.

There are no politicians or bankers in foxholes.

"I'm only angry at you

"I'm only angry at you because you used an acronym created by us to describe a voting strategy which you are suggesting using actual facts doesn't actually work."

Seriously, you sound like Chris Rock getting offended because a white person used a word Chris Rock has exposed him to hundreds of times.

Unlike some here

I won't presume to instill my meaning of your first sentence which makes absolutely no sense to me. If it seems incomprehensible I'd rather allow the individual to explain it rather than slant it in the direction I wish it to pursue. Anger is a rather strong word, I find any discourse with you to be rather entertaining. You make it so easy.
