Is my criticism of Obama too much? As an infantry platoon leader in the military? Read this post and you tell me.

This was my latest facebook post for all the world to see:

This is me speaking DIRECTLY to you President Obama. You are either the DUMBEST Constitutional lawyer to ever exist, or you are a TYRANT.

You say, “We recognize the traditions of gun ownership that passed on from generation to generation, that hunting and shooting are part of a cherished national heritage,” He adds, "But I also believe that a lot of gun owners would agree that AK-47s belong in the hands of soldiers and not in the hands of crooks. They belong on the battlefield of war, not on the streets of our cities". SO, Constitutional lawyer Obama...You mean to tell me that the founders made it a RIGHT to bear arms so all the generations of Americans to come could shoot targets in their back yard? So we could preserve a tradition?

You are probably right. After all, George Washington did say this:

“Firearms stand next in importance to the constitution itself. They are the American people’s liberty teeth and keystone under independence,” adding that “The very atmosphere of firearms anywhere restrains evil interference.”

Maybe others said something different...hmm...

Well, Patrick Henry said this:

“Are we at last brought to such humiliating and debasing degradation, that we cannot be trusted with arms for our defense?”

James Madison originally wrote this, "The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed; a well armed and well regulated militia being the best security of a FREE country; but no person religiously scrupulous of bearing arms shall be compelled to render military services in person."

Well, looks like they didn't do much talking about hunting or sport shooting...Huh Obama? But they did talk about self defense and defense from the government to remain FREE!!!!!

So again, you are a Constitutional lawyer. So, you either missed the part of your classes talking about the Constitution...and you are therefore the dumbest person I know to miss HALF of your titles meaning...or you know DAMN well what it says, why it says it and what it means. That holy grace dictator Obama would make you a tyrant. Which one is it????

Lastly, Thomas Jefferson did say the following:

"The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants."

Patriots AND tyrants have guns. That is what makes revolution possible. The one that made this country happen. When the people don't have guns...Tyrants rule. Want a few examples of tyrants that took the people's guns?

Hitler: outlawed guns for Jews- about 6 million killed, unable to defend themselves.

Stalin: In 1929, the Soviet Union established gun control. From 1929 to 1953, about 20 million dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated. By 1987 that figure had risen to 61,911,000.

Mao Tze Tung
“All political power comes from the barrel of a gun. The communist party must command all the guns, that way, no guns can ever be used to command the party.”
- Mao Tze Tung, Nov 6 1938

China established gun control in 1935. From 1948 to 1952 10,076,000 political dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated in Kuomintang China, and by 1987 another 35,236,000 exterminations were carried out under the Communists.

Pol Pot:
Cambodia established gun control in 1956. Between 1975 and 19793, 2,035,000 “educated” people, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

During the short four years of its rule in Cambodia, Pol Pot’s Khmer Rouge government murdered over 31 percent of the entire Cambodian population.

Obama...You don't fool me, and neither do the other wolves in government.

these statistics are needed to be shown to the general population, especially the delegates in romney's team, I saw what Mao did with his political dissidents and their wives, I tell you the truth, I almost threw up and just wanted to cry, the pain, the torture, how did it come to that?, I didn't even know these people I saw in the images and It was like I felt their pain, the extremely savage methods they took upon the chinese population, I just got so depressed, don't know why, I guess were all human

I am in the military...BUT

My OATH as a commissioned officer is to the Constitution ONLY. It doesn't mention the President at all. Only to defend and uphold that document. I personally don't know the line, where it's crossed... I don't know if there has been an officer to openly question the President on the grounds of Constitutionality. I don't know. But I know what I volunteered to do, and swore to do, was to protect that document, not his policies.

Military upholding constitution

Let me ask one of our military experts
What does it take to arrest and hold accountable
All the lying treasonous so called leaders we have in our
Government after all it would be easy to round them
Up and bring to trial even though our constitution says
We can shoot those who are treasonous
After all it's our country the gov was suppose to work for us
It has become quite clear they have forgotten that
So what do we the people hace To do to get our military to round up
The so called communist Marxists and socialist that
Now occupy our governmental offices
Thanks to who ever can shed light on this

What have you learned?

Gees. I was in the Army and one thing was to keep my head down and
don't be obvious. The enemy will turn you into a red cloud ASAP.

What have you done?
You paste a big target on your back, stand up, and dare the enemy.
You sure that you aren't suffering from PTSD?

Yes, you are right about a disarmed populace.
They become sheep ready for the shearing pen.

For the Reich, the Germans,
in many cases, were " just doing their job " because there was a paycheck in it.

Others bought the patriotic duty story and were really good at it.

Some wanted to become wealthy and the Reich was willing to print all the money needed to provide that false sense of security.

But every soldier was not in it to kill Jews, as I understand it,
many soldiers did not know what was going on. Like the civilians
they were just in it for a paycheck. Why not get paid. The country
was in a recession and now everybody had money.

Napoleon gave vastly inflated French Francs to his armies so that
the soldiers were feeling well paid to attack Austria but it was
an illusion. He borrowed from the Rothschilds and doubled the available currency.
Everybody was poorer but the illusion of wealth stuck.

How is our government any different than these two?
We are still armed. We can still vote.
Our currency is being inflated into oblivion.

What next?
Do we manufacture Fiat currencies to pay for wars just like every
other country for the past 6,000 years. Yes we do.

Keep your head down. Watch your back.
Do not confront the enemy head on unless you have more firepower
than they do... You do not...

Informed Voter

Not bad.

There are many who share the sentiment, and I expect that number will increase in the coming months.

My advice, coming from one in your position himself, is as follows:

Patience, brother. Our time will come, but now isn't the time. Soon. While we do know the feeling all too well, it is focused on one thing, whereas there is so much more at the theater level that must be watched. 'Turn to' for now, but be ready to step.

uh...that was KICKASS bro

although you wouldn't be the first to get a visit do to the choice of a single word. What the heck.

Be brave, be brave, the Myan pilot needs no aeroplane.

Constitutional law is about getting around the Constitution

He's great at it!
And he's the very top of your chain of command, like it or not. Be careful.

Well Said

The great hoax is that these people aren't criminals, they're just making mistakes. That's the reason people don't wake up.

Write the the same ideas directly to Dr Ron Paul.

Like it or not you volunteered to service under the President as Commander-in-Chief. I suspect he did not give you permission to speak freely.

Jesus simply told Pilate that the Empire had no jurisdiction over his activities in the Temple.

As a Soldier of the Empire your case is different. What would you want Ron Paul to know?

Free includes debt-free!

Very Nice Work

I think you said it right. Its refreshing to see someone with the Minerals to speak the truth. Tone It Down they said? What the F#*k for? Thank-You my brother for your service.
Fellow veteran and Oath Keeper

No matter where you go...there you are.

You're angry. And I like that.

Just be careful with the insults. Your message is indeed spot-on, though.

Give them an INCH, and they take a MILE. It's a slippery slope, folks... let them take your assault rifles now, and they will come for everything else eventually!

I agree with others

that you should take out the personal attacks against the Commander in Chief. Especially if it's on Facebook. It's not worth losing your career and benefits over. We are all rightly mad, upset and itching for a revolution - but you must also consider the needs of yourself, and your family (if you have one).

I served in the US Navy for 13 years, was an E6 enlisted. I know how frustratingly maddening it can be to not be able to speak your mind and voice your concerns. With that said, you did take an Oath - for the good times, and the bad - and you must adhere to that Oath regardless of how the situation is currently.

Take out the insults to the president, fact check your quotes, and feel good about having your say! It is well written, just made the aforementioned adjustments and save yourself some heartache. Trust me.

EXACTLY. My OATH! I paid attention to it...the enlisted oath is to the president, more or less. A commissioned oath is to the Constitution only. The oath I took has my back.

Very Nice

This is a fine piece of mind. To all those of you who are criticizing you need to do some history work. The grounds are being laid for a massacre here. Most people do not want to see it. Many of us want to bury our heads in the sand. But you cannot ignore the evidence. If you do you do not belong on this post. You cannot ignore the declaration of citizenship for the tens of thousands of foreign troops entering this land. You cannot ignore the facts about 9/11. You cannot ignore the staged events like our recent shooting by a medical student with $20,000 dollars worth of expensive military equipment. You cannot ignore the fact that our system is socialized and we are heading for communism. You cannot ignore the facts about Obama's birth records or any other records for that matter. You cannot ignore the 20,000 troops working along side of the police in various states. You cannot ignore the NDAA and other legislation. Fuck all you you who look at present events and see nothing or want to bury your heads in the sand. This land is for people who want to be free and are willing to put work into it. I salute you soldier. Speak your minds!

A-F'ng-MEN, Platoon Leader!!!

NOT "too much" AT ALL!!!

and AMEN to all my beloved R3VOL who are awake, and have already taken the R3d Pill, a long arse time ago!

Tone it down.

In my opinion, you make a lot of good points in your message. However, you don't need to insult Obama or accuse him of anything, especially tyranny or ignorance. If that's how you feel about him that's fine and I fully agree with you, but it might be wiser to simply lay out what Obama said (accurately) and why it alarmed you, raising your points about how gun rights ensure freedom from tyranny and democide. Your research speaks for itself; there's no need to degrade it with personal attacks on the man you are trying to educate. Why would he read any further than the first couple lines? Why would any of his supporters? They'll dismiss it out of hand and your point will be lost except to people who already agree with you.

Once again, I liked it personally, but this is a risky thing you're doing and if you want to persist, I think you should tone it down. HOpe you take it into consideration.

a PROVEN murderous dictator/Wall St.Mil.Ind.Complex bankster puppet and his equally traitorous minions, and his millions of mindless sycophantic drones/ENABLERS, aka the sheeple populace, deserve no such verbal sympathies.

The only time where one may make a legitimate case to be more tactful, when it comes to things like this, would be for those especially concerned about bluntness stunting the 'expansion of our ranks.'

Well, for those who may be, I'd implore you to consider the following: if you re-live your own individual personal 'awakening' process, I'd venture to guess that it all came after some sort of a cathartic moment or realization for you, that something is all wrong here, and you decided to further research whatever 'that' was so incessantly bugging you, to satiate your hungry conscience, all on your own.

Frankly, at this juncture in history, for any grown adult to assume all is hunky dory, since the currency collapse at Fed's current rate is simply mathematically inevitable anyway, their 'opinions' won't matter a whole lot anyway.

So personally, I've adopted the 'sow some seeds, then move on'-method. A 'drive-by knowledge bombs,' if you will.

I figure, those who choose to take the R3d Pill, will, all on their own anyway; we're too late in the game to convince the 'willfully blissful.' 'On-the-fence'-awake for those who they consider themselves to be somewhat politically aware, are the ones I personally 'target.'

Fear is an infectious disease that makes the silence ever more deafening. I assume I'm already being monitored. So treat them the way they deserve to be: a bunch of loser moron clowns who delude some polyester Halloween costume alchemically imbue them with magical powers like some unicorned 5year old toddler.

Laughter at the absurd: the best remedy.

So laugh hardy, and ignore the rest. Tyrants are gonna do what scumbags are always expected to do.

But, the Free Humanity will also do what its native state compels us to do: seek freedom wherever and whenever.

There are no amount of words to sugarcoat a dictator who laughs at the specter of murdering the son of a supposed 'terrorist,' worse, so proud like a child who sees a roadkill for the first time in his life, decides to bring back the rotting organism to his parents all proud: oBUSHma thought it hunky dory to announce to us that he IS a murderer, and in fact, is proud of it.

A scumbag murderous puppet tyrant is a scumbag murderous puppet tyrant. He is who he is. The day you police your own words, is the day he and his overlords win.

I say, DENY the motherfrakkers a win every tiny chance you get.

That's a nice post and everything, but

if you don't have the creativity to criticize without insulting then you're just wasting your breath. The Declaration of Independence was an attack on King George but they didn't call the guy an idiot. They recapped the King's betrayals and attacks on liberty, and their facts spoke for themselves.

And if there's no point to trying to convince EVERYONE, even the "willfully blissful" as you call them, then why are we all on the DP? Just to bitch and moan and pat each other on the back, hoping for economic collapse?

What? You think I'm not pissed off at the powers that be? I up-voted the damn thing.

Simple Facts and Plain Arguments

That's a nice reply and everything, but

really, I don't see your point.

If you have to invoke "creativity" to adjudicate someone's honest statement, by conflating PlatoonLeaders' literary exposition, as if, how he is addressing the current POTUS 'should be' on par with some binding Colonial Ultimatum to a long dead English Tyrant George, you're clearly "wasting your breath" on citing "wasting your breath," on a subject matter that lacks equal gravity, or for that matter, saw fit to create a point of contention, where one is not needed.

Why are some so distraught over a completely moot reality?

You, me or PlatoonLeader calling oBUSHma, an obvious tyrant, a Constitutionally imbecilic moron, and/or both, would 'need' to be afforded a lofty verbal characterization, as if calling an obvious a-hole an a-hole will magically change the said a-hole's native state of being, and metamorph him into an angel?

Not gonna happen.

Now, you may contend that stylistically, verbally, it may offend your own personal sensibilities? Sure, that would be a legitimate point, for yourself, but there's no mandate that says he shouldn't express what he wanted to say, in the manner in which he did.

As for your:

And if there's no point to trying to convince EVERYONE, even the "willfully blissful" as you call them, then why are we all on the DP? Just to bitch and moan and pat each other on the back, hoping for economic collapse?

First of all, it's unrealistic "to convince EVERYONE," as you physically are incapable of reaching 35~45% of the American populace who even bother to vote, of which only some 10~25% (if push-polls are ever to be believed) are open to our message.

Secondly, did you miss that part where I clearly cited what I "personally" do what works for me?

Like I stated, what works for me is a targeted approach. Consider marketing: those 'on the fence' are far easier to 'tip-over' as when you introduce a product or idea to that person, at the end of the day, that person has to internally value it enough to buy it, or end up liking it so much so that he/she will promote it to others, on their own.

I have only simply stated that, that's what has worked for me, and works for me. I didn't tell you or anyone else to do it. So, still not seeing your point.

All of which simply tells me that you either clearly didn't read through your rather dickish characterization of "That's a nice post and everything," or you can care less about the actual content, and were more driven by your 'need' to bitch at me, to let me know that such course of action merely amounts to "bitch[ing] and moan[ing]."

Besides, even if it were so, me "bitch[ing] and moan[ing]" doesn't, and shouldn't stop YOU or anyone else from pursuing, trying to "convince EVERYONE." So why all the fuss?

So the real question is, why are you replying as if what I just replied would somehow hamper, or irrevocably harm your own personal efforts to "convince EVERYONE," if you're already successful at it anyway?

As for the economic collapse? "Hoping for" it has nothing to do with it.

If you've researched and learned anything, as I clearly stated "at Fed's current rate is simply mathematically inevitable anyway," you'd have no problem seeing that as a FACTUAL statement, based on already public information.

There is no such thing as 'paying off' $1.5+ QUADRILLION in worldwide derivatives exposures that the Fed.Reserve has exposed us to. That's a THOUSAND Five Hundred TRILLION dollars, by Bank of International Settlement's own aggregate numbers posted in 2010!

If that's news to you, sorry to break it to ya, but believe me, I'm not looking forward to the SHTF/WROL hell an "economic collapse" would unleash. Nor, would I be "patting" myself on the back in an "Ha! Told you so!" If Fed.Res. continues on its current trajectory: the "economic collapse" WILL 100% happen. I don't have to "hope" for anything.

The reality is, people only 'change'-change for real, only after they find a lasting internal reason to change, as I've also contended in the "that's a nice post and everything." And, pointing out this fact does not change, the reality of the process of change, itself.

As for your:

What? You think I'm not pissed off at the powers that be? I up-voted the damn thing.

did you read me typing or asserting whether you should, or should not be, "pissed off at the powers that be?"

Long story short. Do your thing, TheNung. If you honestly can "convince EVERYONE," at least those who you physically come in contact with, on or offline? Great! I'll be the first to cheer you on. The whole point of this was that IF verbal tact would be a point of concern as if we're trying to expand our ranks, which I would like to assume everyone here does want, I "personally found" that what works best for me is a 'targeted approach.'

So frankly, me merely positing that? I fail to see how in the world you can be miffed about stating the obvious.

OBama doesn't want to BAN

OBama doesn't want to BAN guns,

He just wants the sale of guns like AK-47s to be reported to the FBI, so that they can cross-check it with their own database. He also wants the sale of large amounts of ammunition reported.

Those seem like reasonable requests. Then again, I don't think that the government is trying to TAKE AWAY MY GUNS and stick me in a concentration camp, or monitor my every move.

Excellent points

Good exercise of the 1st as well.

Sorry to play the History Police but...

George Washington never said that:

That's being said, he SHOULD have.

"Liberty's too precious a thing to be buried in books...Men should hold it up in front of them every single day of their lives and say: 'I'm free to think and to speak. My ancestors couldn't. I can. And my children will."

-Jimmy Stewart

speaking of GunCite... reminded me of Col. Jeff Cooper's GunSite

and some of my favorite quotes of his:

Jeff Cooper's Commentaries, vol. 4, no. 16, December, 1996"

The conclusions seem inescapable that in certain circles a tendency has arisen to fear people who fear government.

Government, as the Father of Our Country put it so well, is a dangerous servant and a fearful master. People who understand history, especially the history of government, do well to fear it.

For a people to express openly their fear of those of us who are afraid of tyranny is alarming. Fear of the state is in no sense subversive. It is, to the contrary, the healthiest political philosophy for a free people.

"Already a couple of the faithful have sent in checks for a foundation memorial to the innocents who perished at the hands of the ninja at Waco. ... I have been criticized by referring to our federal masked men as 'ninja' …

Let us reflect upon the fact that a man who covers his face shows reason to be ashamed of what he is doing. A man who takes it upon himself to shed blood while concealing his identity is a revolting perversion of the warrior ethic. It has long been my conviction that a masked man with a gun is a target. I see no reason to change that view."

so says THE founder of the modern combat pistol fighting technique, the inventor of the term "Hoplonphobia," and the founder of the grand poo-bah of the tactical school world, GunSite, Col. Jeff Cooper (RIP).

You should delete it now or get a dishonorable discharge

I agree with your thoughts, but you are told to respect the rank, not the person. Commander in Chief is the highest rank.

Was Der Fuhrer a rank?

just sayin.....

You can't get clean in a dirty bathtub.

With all due

respect, what he is saying is how MANY of us feel.

Civilians should be taking up this sort of action instead of a Platoon Leader who is active duty. We (and I say we because I am still active duty until Sept 1st) are soldiers, we have oaths and commands to follow.

Good order and discipline are necessary to have an effective and responsive military force - the same force that protects civilians and puts their life on the line so you don't have to. Encouraging this man to break his Oath - to disobey the UCMJ - is just plain wrong.

His duty is to put his life on the line for YOU - So in turn you civilians should be doing things like this letter. He is risking himself, his career and his benefits and a lot of people on this thread couldn't care less!

Is this how you people support your troops? If so I don't need your support, thanks.

Whao, I'm active...but I'm

Whao, I'm active...but I'm active guard. HAHA. Not that it should make much of a difference. But I almost welcome the opportunity to have the situation where I can back up my oath to the Constitution. Sadly, I doubt any of that would make the news.

I went guard because it's STATE level, I like that. Even though it's structured to be a federal operation now.

Excellent response and I thank you for your service

I apologize for my hyperbole. In 1930's Germany too many "citizens" shrunk to the shadows of fear. You are right, WE need to step up!

God Bless You and your family.

You can't get clean in a dirty bathtub.

I agree whole heartedly with your sentiments

however if I recall the UCMJ correctly anything an active duty service person has published must be cleared with his C.O. Been a long time, I got out in 76. You could be heading for some grief if my memory is correct.
